The one item we did realize while in there, their price point was up there, but I didn't have much to compare to. Now some 7ish yrs on, it was time to replace the cushions. Our suite sits outside under a pergola, fully exposed to all the elements. They had been cleaned by the wonderful Ms Suzie, but they are grotty, green pollen stained, a little hole here and there. I started my search last spring, bogged down by C19 availability, difficult communications.. etc. One of my chairs had a bent rocker arm and leg, don't know how that happened. But, here is where paying for quality pays off. Winston Patio were great and actually replaced the arm for nothing... in fact they ended up sending me several arms, just in case. Anyway, I eventually reached back out to Backyard, formerly Outside In Style, to check on availability of cushions. Surprisingly, Jamie our original sales rep replied quickly and we began getting this together. 8 Cushions and $2700 later, we ordered them. On July 29th. They arrived yesterday and got the call. During this time I had reached out to Jamie to check status and she always replied promptly and on point. The location is convenient for us, just off of 71, well marked. Massive show room with all kinds of stuff. The gentlemen who helped us load the cushions was extremely nice and helpful and even helped me troubleshoot the bent leg and fix. I would imagine you could find less expensive stuff at the big box stores, however, I would find it hard to believe the furniture would still be in as good nick as our Winston's have faired over the past 7yrs. We picked up covers this time around, which I would imagine will keep the cushions like new much longer. Job done Backyard... we will be back, for some reason Suzie wants me to buy an outdoor grill... oh boy.

I initially contacted 3-4 companies about cleaning my built-in grill. It's 12 years old and I know it's never been professionally cleaned in the last 9 years. Bobby had a reputation of being honest and fair with his clients and after talking to him on the phone, I felt it, too. A few days before Bobby was scheduled to come clean my grill, I sent him a video showing him some broken parts and other issues. We talked on the phone about what needed to be fixed before he could clean the grill. He didn't tell me I needed to replace "all" the briquettes. Only the ones that were damaged. My igniters weren't working either. He recommended the repairs because he felt the grill was still salvageable. A comparable new grill would be VERY expensive. I'm all for fixing this and giving it new life. In the end, I spent $250 on the grill cleaning and $750 on ALL the parts plus labor. My grill looks and works fantastic!! My husband is so thrilled! A new grill costs $9k and I got mine for $1k. Hopefully next time I call Bobby, it's just for the cleaning again. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Grill Dirty for cleaning and repair services!!

Re: Windows Tyler assigned me to Brandon of Lowe's Marble Falls, who has the best customer service reviews. He's got higher reviews than any other in home consultants in Austin. Tyler texted that both Brandon and him really enjoyed working with me. My bids were as follows for four windows: 1. Lowes Pella Architect (including octagon w/ gray tint and sidelight tempered & frosted and Austin city permit) = $7000 However, they do not paint trim for free if dinged or damaged. 2. Wilco Windows Pella Impervia (including octagon of alleged Impervia and sidelight tempered & obscure) = $7300 I say alleged because Laura, the Pella Austin Regional Sales Rep said Impervia didn't come in octagon. I'm not sure if the octagon was vinyl, custom fiberglass, or wood. 3. Marvin Replacement Infinity (including octagon and sidelight tempered & frosted) = $9200 Does not include white glove service of removing & reinstalling roller shades for free.
