I walked in knowing which griddle I was interested in purchasing after doing a lot of research on my own. My salesman Ben P was very knowledgable and friendly. Wow where to start. This place has some of the best costumer service for the stuff they sell. I have purchased a large green egg and a couple Weber's grills from them in the past. I had another company's product and even though BBQ outfitters did not sell me this particular item, since I was a previous customer they still helped me out with the warranty. The back office crew helped me out with everything. I did send some pictures of the broken areas on the items and everything was done on email and phone. I didn't even have to go in to get this taken care of. I even purchased all new parts that where not covered under warranty and they helped me out with making sure everything was in working order and I had everything I wanted. After all is said and done I had a new working product that I thought I would have to just replace everything on it. Saved me money and time!!! I paid for delivery as well on a warranty item and the delivery guys put it all together to make it work as good as new. So you can trust that if you purchase or purchased a item from BBQ outfitters, you will be a customer for life and not just during the purchase time. They are busy there and if you have to call back a few times, they will get to you. I did leave a message a couple times and eventually got a call back. Been searching online for a outdoor flat top griddle and thought maybe I would buy it online but with all that is going on we figured we would buy local and from a small business. Found BBQ outfitters from google/yelp and their selection is really large and have lots of items to choose from. We ended up getting a great flat top griddle here, though it was not in stock so they had to order it for us and we are currently waiting on that. Service was great, the people there are super friendly. We worked with Buddy and he was very patient and informative. I did a lot of conversations with him via email before even stepping foot into BBQ outfitters. They did have the griddle we wanted on display so we could touch it and see how sturdy it was which was super nice. Several years ago I left my smoker and charcoal behind and invested in propane. What a HUGE mistake!! I went through two propane grills and not once was I satisfied with anything that I cooked on them or with the grills themselves. Eventually I lost interest in grilling and covered the last grill and pushed it to the corner of the patio. This year I redid my patio and GAVE that grill away just so I could be done with it. Once my patio renovations were complete I got that strong itch for a grill. Every nice patio needs a nice grill. Right? I hem hawed around for a couple of weeks then took to the internet for some research. It came down to two grills: Big Green Egg or Traeger. Further research pointed me to the Traeger. I really liked everything I was reading about the Traeger Pro 34 and wanted to see one in person. I quickly learned that BBQ Outfitters was a Traeger dealer. Cool. I had heard so many great things about them and they weren't far from my house. Off I went on my mission. I took Carl G. with me. Once we got there we were immediately greeted and asked what we were looking for. The gentleman talked to us for a little bit about his Traeger and made the comment that everyone that worked there had a Traeger. Then he politely left us alone without pestering us with a heavy sales pitch. We liked that. We went inside and found exactly what I was looking for. We checked out the Pro 34 for awhile then tracked down another employee ( the guy we originally talked to was busy with another customer). Craig was awesome and did a very thorough job in going over the do's and don'ts, will and won'ts of the Pro 34. He also echoed the first guys comments that everyone that works there has a Traeger. We bought the Traeger on the spot and got free delivery and a free bag of pellets!! How cool is that? The customer service here was really outstanding and I was surprised to see that they don't do a crazy outrageous mark up on their stuff. So far we have been very satisfied with the Traeger Pro 34. Still experimenting and have a ways to go, but, everything is coming off delicious and when I get into a real head scratcher I just call on BBQ Outfitters. They have been very resourceful. My husband and I went here to check out their smokers. The guy was extremely knowledgeable about all the different kinds of smokers they have, from the ones that look like a grill to the Kamado type "eggs" and beyond. He took his time explaining the pros and cons of each one, and we ended up getting a Traeger Pro 575 smoker and all our supplies, from a cover to pellets to spices. I've had my eye on a Big Green Egg for well over a year, our grill at the time was on it's last leg and needed some repairs. Instead of limping along with the old, we decided to make the investment and upgrade to a new ceramic cooker. We went to BBQ Outfitters in early July and was greeted by Craig. Very friendly, no pressure sales at all, he simply asked how he could help. I mentioned my interest in the EGG and he took us over to explain everything they had in that category. He is very well informed, all of their ceramic cookers will do an awesome job, you won't tell the difference in flavor no matter which one you choose. After Craig went through the features and benefits of the Big Green Egg, the Primo and the Kamado Joe, we went with the Joe. I've used it half a dozen times now, not only is it easy to use, the flavor I'm getting is outstanding. I've smoked a chicken, pork ribs, pork butt/shoulder, a brisket (awesome), and have grilled brisket burgers, and quite possibly the best rib-eye steak I've ever had in my life using the split level cooking that is unique to the Joe! I recently went back to the store get more lump charcoal, ran into Craig again and he directed my attention to the Pecan lump charcoal from Texas Premium. I've never cooked with pecan, holy cow, what a difference that makes! That's what I used on the rib-eyes I mentioned. Great place, great service, quality products! read more

Was not delivered at promised date; which was before 4th of July. Delivered a faulty grill without an instruction booklet 2 weeks later causing us to miss 4th of July. Was told that sales person gave instructions at purchase. They delivered a replacement( after we had to call to remind them a week later) that was not the same grill as we paid for, but of lesser quality that was not stainless or natural gas. First off, these guys sell high end products for the most part. If you are looking for a 300$ grill, go to Blowes or HomeDePot. If you want a grill that works after a month, and are willing to pay for a premium product this is your best place in town. I bought a Large Egg and a custom table from them. There was a simple mistake made with the table and these guys went above and beyond to make me happy and fix the problem. The simple fix wasn't good enough for them, they wanted to make me 100% happy. They did, and for that reason they earned my undying customer loyalty. Great selection, great customer service. A good combo. I've been in this place about a half-dozen times now. They are unfailingly nice and helpful. As the caretaker of a Big Green Egg (long story), this is the GO TO place for accessories and replacement parts. Today was a good example of why I love this place - I was having trouble with a part and described what I needed and why, and they told me to just do a simple trick with a screwdriver and it should fix the problem. No hard sell to replace the part. Just a friendly bit of advice. I always end up getting some aromatic wood chips, or interesing rubs or sauces when I'm there, and slowly but surely I'm trying to build up my Egg accessories. Nothing is inexpensive when you're talking BGE, so it will take some to build up a stable of cool accessories. Cooking on a Big Green Egg is a blast, but it takes some practice. This place is great! I went in today to buy a new grill to get ready for summer. They were busy when I arrived and there was a grill going with lots of food being cooked up to try and check out how things work. I was greeted quickly and got offered some of the food to try which was cooked perfect. I had a few questions about the different grills and the differences between the Green Egg and the Primo and how best to try to copy what the guys was cooking today. After looking around and getting my questions answered, I ended up buying what I think is a great grill. Just like most others have stated here, I never felt pressure to buy or rushed to do anything. All the people were nice and the guy helping was very knowledgeable. He got me all set up and they loaded it in my car and I was off.
