Do not buy flooring material from Floor and Decor. They sell defective material and don't honor warranties. I purchased Nucor LVF (Luxury Vinyl Flooring) from Floor and Decor on 12/27/2023 paying $3.99 per sq. ft. It came with a Lifetime Warranty. Within few weeks of installation, the flooring had dents and scratches. My contractor filed the complaint with Floor and decor in March 2024. The company was supposed to send a rep out, but no one came. After waiting over a month for a rep, I had contractor take out the damaged flooring, re-purchased replacement flooring from Floor and Decor and had it installed since I did not want the floor to be half done. Meanwhile the claim from my contractor was denied. After reflooring was finished the floor started denting again. It is not standing up to the quality mentioned by Floor and Decor. I filed the compensation with Floor and Decor based on product's lifetime warranty but it was denied. I am really unhappy with the floor quality and plan to replace. read more

I visited the store the last hour it was open! So maybe they don't staff knowledgeable people after 9-5... not sure But I was not treated well by the staff at all. I was wearing a short dress and the young men working there did not treat me like a valid person. They were staring at my legs and smiling as if everything I said was cute but irrelevant. I was there to look for a unique grout color and at first they said they didn't have it but then I found it myself while the employee was staring at me. Next thing I needed was a minimal T shaped transition profile and the worker had no clue what I was asking for. I described it to him and he said "wow I've never thought of it like that or noticed those." I came in looking for help selecting products and instead left feeling irritated and talked down to. This place is not great for young women or people looking for knowledgeable advice. read more

Go into it knowing that this is not a high end designer tile place. It's a bit like a big box store -- you can buy what you want and take it the same day. Laura, one of the designers, was so wonderful and helpful. Patient too. Other employees were great, very amenable with returns and such. There are many reasons to go with Floor & Decor. I'll start with Max, Jazz. Dalton and Chris. We work with floor manager Max first. When he wasn't there Chris helped us. When we made our final selections, Jazz and Dalton both were tremendous help. The selection is fantastic. The prices are very very reasonable. I can't see any reason not to work with them. read more

I spent thousands of dollars on floors and the service has been a nightmare. My wood arrived at the facility and nobody notified us. What's really frustrating is that you can't reach anybody on the phone. You have to drive down there and hope you can find someone AND they sold me padding when I actually needed glue. Just bought over $4k in tile as part of a 3 bathroom remodel. Had not scheduled a design meeting, but Jazz said hello, was free and away we went for two hours. Knew we had nailed the selections, but came back with a scheduled appointment and changed course. She did not miss a beat and was OK with our change of direction. The knowledge of Jazz as one of the design staff (along with her demeanor and can do attitude) helped us seal the deal. Modeling the bathrooms on their CAD tool, providing renderings along with the detail and color swatches for grout were extremely helpful along with detailed order data that included extra product for shrinkage. My son came to pickup the order and Jay in order delivery/fulfillment even sought out some scrap cardboard that could be used to top off the tile when ratcheted down for the trailer ride home. Price/selection were good but interacting with Jazz and Jay are what mattered. read more

I had very bad experience with Floor & Decor product, stores and customer service. They sell product samples with quality "A" and when deliver actural product , it comes with inferior quality. Their product contains high VOC(Volatile Organic Compound which is harmul gas). When honoring warranty, they will blame, installer so that they can get away from warranty claim. The customer service is pathetic. If you care about your investment and health, please avoid floor and decor and their products. There are many flooring stores in the area. Please avoid this company at any cost and you will save your family. read more

My husband and I have been renovating our home and have shopped quite a bit at Floor and Decor. We live south so the location on the north side has been our only option. Although Floor and Decor has great inventory, the customer service hasn't been great at the north Austin location. Raul did a fantastic job of helping us, suggesting different types of material and tile as we aren't doing a straightforward generic project, so some creativity is required. Raul was patient and very helpful. He also had some suggestions I hadn't thought of for my airbrushing area on my studio. We've looked extensively at other stores and online, but always end up back at Floor and Decor because of the range of products and staff helpfulness. I placed an order online(5-2-22) that totaled $1100 for next day pick up. I even double checked online to see if they had the inventory needed.. My husband goes to pick up the order(5-3-22). My husband calls to let me they only gave him one box because the rest is in "mixed stock". Shortly there after I get a call to set a time to pick up my order. I am confused because of what my husband just told me. I speak to the associate and begin to tell her what my husband just told me. She then proceeds to tell me "that's right, it's awaiting manager review". That's where that stayed. I call again and speak to another associate. I ask him what's the status and to try and get more information. He says " My apologies, on our system it shows we have them but it's probably in the back mixed with other stock. It also shows it's in review and awaiting a manager to approve it. The managers are in a meeting and I don't know when it will be done". I ask if the manager can call me back before they close just so I can have when the order will be ready. He couldn't promise me that but assured me I will get a call tomorrow morning. Following morning 5-4-22 I get a call at 9:18am. It is by a gentleman named Robbie. He introduced himself as an assistant manager. He informs me that my order couldn't be fulfilled due to their inventory not being current. He also tells me the tile is on back order. He began to give me my options. 1. I can either get it shipped to my house which would take 3 days or pick it up an 1hr and 20 mins away. I let him know I will discuss with my husband the options. Husband and I discuss and decide we could wait 3 days. I give Robbie a call back and let him know we can wait for it to ship to our house. Now I am told something else. I am told since the tile is on backorder it wouldn't ship to our home for maybe "2 weeks or 3 weeks it can even take up to 1-2 months". I am now frustrated. I am first being told it would arrive in three days now it can take up to 2 months. The only option left for me was to travel 1hr and 20mins away for the tile. Then I am told that the Store I need to go to doesn't take orders for 90days since they are a new store. He then tells me he could call the store ask them to put them aside for me and he would refund me and email the receipt. I am at ease with this so I go about my day. 4 o'clock comes around and I haven't received an email. I proceed to call the store and I speak to Aliana. I summarize my situation and she proceeds to help me with the refund. About 30mins pass and no email confirmation. I then call the other store who has the tile in stock. Before I ask for the tile I ask that associate if they are excepting online orders. He answers quickly, I have been working on them all day. I reply with "really, i was told you wouldn't be taking any online orders for 90 days since you are a new store". He proceeds to apologize for the misinformation and tells me that they are. I hang up with him. Then proceed to call this store back. I ask to speak to a manager and she answers. I believe her name is Brenda. I explain the situation. She apologizes. I ask Brenda what happened to the confirmation emails and she puts me on hold to go to the "pro" desk. Brenda proceeds to put me on speaker so the other associate, who happens to be Aliana to help me with the refund. We discuss the situation then I am put on a hold. Aliana gets back on the line. She states that the confirmations were sent but she would send them to me through text. I confirm that I have received the text confirmations. Afterwards I ask her if there's anything that can be done to help me since it was because of their miscommunication and misinformation I have to travel far for this tile. Aliana tells me there isn't anything they could do but offer me the "Pro Hotline". Basically a phone number to call to confirm the tile is on the shelf. A discount couldn't be offered because the order was for another store. I asked if online credit or gift card can be done. Again, no. I hang up to proceed to make my order for the store they are telling me has the inventory I need. I check online and they don't. I now am having to travel almost 2 hrs to pick up tile. I don't know if I am to ship there again. If I do it will never be online again. Online shopping and pick up was to supposed to relieve stress. This experience has only added to it. read more
