The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. I purchased Nucor LVF (Luxury Vinyl Flooring) from Floor and Decor on 12/27/2023 paying $3.99 per sq. ft. It came with a Lifetime Warranty. Within few weeks of installation, the flooring had dents and scratches. My contractor filed the complaint with Floor and decor in March 2024. The company was supposed to send a rep out, but no one came. After waiting over a month for a rep, I had contractor take out the damaged flooring, re-purchased replacement flooring from Floor and Decor and had it installed since I did not want the floor to be half done. Meanwhile the claim from my contractor was denied. After reflooring was finished the floor started denting again. It is not standing up to the quality mentioned by Floor and Decor. I filed the compensation with Floor and Decor based on product's lifetime warranty but it was denied. I am really unhappy with the floor quality and plan to replace.

Found Moore Supply recently for the parts to replace a damaged pipe and old pressure relief valve. Called from another shop down the street that was dong their very best to overcharge me for some basic parts necessary for the repairs. I spoke with Ryan at Moore Supply and asked if they might be able to help me figure out the best replacement parts for a 25 year old damaged pipe and worn out pressure relief valve. He suggested I come in and bring the part. As he hung up, I was walking through the front door. Busy day for them so I waited until it was my turn and laid out the parts and project on the counter. Ryan took one look at them and knew exactly what to do. He came back out with the pressure relief valve, ball joint needed and suggested that although we could use PVC or a copper pipe, pex would be the best option. I clenched my teeth and steadied by stance preparing to hear what it would cost. I was blown away by a very reasonable price quote for a fraction of the price of the shop I just left. In a just a few minutes Ryan helped me put together the project for assembly, handed me a brand new pressure valve, ball joint and perfectly fabricated pex pipe and fittings and I was out the door on the way home to finish the repairs. Everything, including their valued help and experience in planning out the repairs for less than $150.00!! Nice people, fantastic customer support, ethics and integrity makes me proud to support another local company. Especially after the nightmare I had just escaped. JL assured me that their experienced installers could remove my granite without any damage to my backsplash. But not only that, their price was the best of all four well known Austin companies. In fact, since I was getting Taj Reale from Stratus I saw that several companies marked up the price for the same slab that they all were getting from the same slab yard.
