Koren was super pleasant to work with all around. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. A lot of a great ideas during the initial meeting, for how to keep our project within budget, and where it was worth splurging or dialing back. We had requested a bid on two main projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were shocked by how much of the "bonus" projects we could fit in, and yet felt very confident with Koren's insights that these were realistically within our budget. The formal quote came in REALLY fast after our meeting, and was very easy to follow and extremely fairly priced. Was very impressed with how quickly they were ready to begin the work, and the forethought of asking us if we planned to "live-in" during the remodel vs. get an AirBNB or the like. We hadn't even thought of that. Would have been very confident in moving forward with ATX Remodeling. Especially as Koren had so many examples of the type of elaborate communication and oversight we would have at every stage of the process.

We had Sal and his team repair a closet that was water damaged due to a leak in our water heaters…read more They removed the water heaters, replaced the damaged sheetrock and subfloor and reinstalled the water heaters. Sal communicated consistently and clearly. His team showed when he said they would. When we had a slight leak due to a loose connection in the water heater after re-install he had someone come back that same day to tighten everything up and make sure we were happy. I would use them again.

I hired Eliab of The Good Tile to remove our 90s bleh kitchen floor tile, remove our backsplash…read moretile, and install over 300 square feet of new flooring tile plus new backsplash, and extensive accent wall tiling in the backsplash tile. My new floor tile has a pattern, and the backsplash tiles were 2.4" x 8" ceramic hand glaze ceramic tiles, and so neither would be easy to install unless the tile installer was very skilled. I thought the review photos on Yelp showed Eliab already has an extensive body of work done well, and I loved that he specializes in tile so I knew that he should be very competent at it. And he and his guys Salvi and Rafael were excellent! They worked hard and did very precise work. That was a ton of cuts and joints to line up perfectly with all that subway tile, and it looks wonderful. The cuts around light switches and power receptacles: also precise. He was as good as his word about showing up, doing it right, and cleaning up as they went. He earned my trust, was good to work with, and I would happily hire him again. I definitely recommend! I will post pictures for now as is - but keep in mind the construction is still going on so they will not look as great as they should. I'll try to remember to update our photos when the remodel is truly done.

You keep trying to reduce this to a "misunderstanding" about the plumber, but that is not what happened. You recommended and coordinated the plumber as part of the project, and the plumber stated that you already knew the correct rate. Yet I was quoted a lower amount up front, which made the situation feel like a bait-and-switch once the job was already underway. You cannot bring someone into the project, benefit from the job, and then act like his pricing and your communication had nothing to do with you. Your claim that you did not leave anything unfinished is also contradicted by the photos I uploaded. The kitchen tile work was not completed. That is not an opinion. That is visible in the photos. Your latest claim that you "only charged for what was carried out" is also misleading. I paid for the majority of the kitchen tile work, and the kitchen was still left unfinished. Saying you did not charge for the uncompleted portion does not erase the fact that I paid substantial money toward a job that you did not complete, then had to hire another contractor to finish. The most serious issue is that you were supposed to return the following week to finish the tile work and dispose of the tub. I texted you to confirm the schedule and materials. You did not return my calls. Then you did not show up. That is not a misunderstanding. That is a no-call/no-show. A professional business owner does not ignore a customer, fail to show up, leave visible unfinished work, and then publicly try to rewrite the facts. This was a horrendous experience involving misleading pricing, unfinished work, ignored calls, a no-show, and added expense. Homeowners should look closely at the photos and be extremely careful before allowing The Good Tile into their home or paying them for a project.

Talk about Blue Suede and professionally trained sales persons! I found them quite entertaining actually, but not what we were looking for. My son had recently had some remodeling done and had high praise for the company he used. I knew the work was professional and quality, so I gave Jose Santos at J & M Remodeling LLC., a call. He came out and met with my wife and I and we hit it off immediately. I have done business with quite a number of contractors in my 70 years and I was impressed with his demeanor, his friendliness and his knowledge about what we wanted done and his welcome advice along the way. Jose gave us a fair bid (far less than the TV guys), took precise measurements and drew up a plan that we all agreed to. He finished the work a week ahead of schedule and the end result was more than I expected. He was involved daily and his crew were perfectionists. Bottom line is we will use him again in the future, recommend him to friends and family, and most important..my wife is happy!

Their sales rep came over very prepared. He came with different types of glasses and explained each option to me. I had a concern about water exiting the door and he came up with a solution that would both seal and keep the bath space looking modern. He was very knowledge about all my concerns and had confident answers to them. The communication with the office was really good. They were very detailed oriented with scheduling and works extremely well with rescheduling. On the day of install, the workers were really respectful and careful. They cleaned up afterwords and communicated well with me. I look forward to using them again and highly recommend!

I would never do business with them again. Their installers were awesome, but the office staff and sales team are horrible. I inquired about an order in August 2023. Salesperson called me immediately and came to my home the following day of my inquiry to take measurements and provided a quote. Made the decision to go with them and month later I had to call them to see what the status was of my order (According to their website and from the sale guy, it will take 12 - 13 days from the date of purchase for orders to be filled). After several run arounds, they finally told me that they would be coming out to install the shower door. Came to my home to install the shower door and shower wall, and I noticed that there were several scratches on all the pieces of glass. Therefore, they had to reorder another glass (no one checked the glass prior to coming to my home). Another month went by, and I had to call again to see what the status was of the reorder. No one had a clue. Call the sales guy, and he had no clue as well after he had already come back to my home to request an expedited order due to the damage. Now, two months have gone by, and replacement glass still has not shown up. Once the glass showed up in November 2023, again, there were more scratches on all the pieces of glass. Another month goes by, and I had to call once again to check the status of the reorder and the GM stated that he would take care of the issue but once again, the GM provided false pretense and lack of the customer service. Now it is January 2024, and I finally had to call back once again to check the status of my order, and they finally told me the glass is ready. With a lack of confidence, I went out to the office to where they store the glass to check and make sure that everything was finally fixed. Finally, the glass checked out and finally got the glass installed. After 6 months of inconvenience of not able to use my new shower, they were not willing to provide any compensation after me calling, texting, and reaching out them several times and not concerned about their customers. Value: Great quality of glass, but the manufactures do not check their work. Therefore, you better check before installing. Overall: I would NOT recommend this company until they improve their customer service. Again, this was the worst experience I've ever had.
