Nice showroom. Go here to look at products and see the displays. Write down the product information and buy somewhere else. I'm a remodeling contractor and many of my clients, especially older people, like to go into a store and see the product displays. I recommended Ferguson because they carry so many brands, have a huge showroom, and I have a contractor account. Time and again the Ferguson showroom sales people drop the ball and cause huge delays in the project. This ultimately causes me to look bad, as I am the one who recommended Ferguson. The most recent experience, the clients visited the showroom and placed the order on July 25. Today is August 22, four weeks later and they still haven't procured the shower fixture. When they placed the order, the sales person assured them everything was in stock and lead times were less than 5 days. I gave up on Ferguson showroom procuring the shower fixture and ordered it through their website Build.com The fixture I ordered yesterday afternoon and it arrived at my door this morning. It was literally in stock at the local Ferguson distribution warehouse and the showroom sales people just failed to place the order correctly. In the future, I will make sure that none of my clients actually buy anything here. Just go there to look and make a project list. read more

Original: Possibly the worst customer experience I have ever had. Placed order in late December. Many items were shown as in stock, but still have not arrived in late February. Though the order was paid it does not appear the items were actually ordered. Items with longer lead times- March or May are now May & August! Zero proactive communication! Very difficult to get through to the Rep or Customer Service. When I do get someone on the phone actions are followed up slowly or not at all. Pretty disappointed and disgusted! I really wish I had looked at yelp before ordering. We used Ferguson for all of our new appliances (stove, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, vent hood). The sales associate was good to work with and follow up after the order was fine. We ordered 6+ months in advance, because we were aware of inventory issues. They held the items in inventory until we needed them. Everything was great until delivery/install. The installers really botched it the first time around. The ice maker didn't work, the panel front installed on the dishwasher ripped off the first time I pulled on it, the fridge/freezer panel front doors were crooked, the wine fridge is making way too much noise, the top two drawers of the dishwasher fell down the first time I used them. Afer the install, they sent out a repair team. The first repair team was worthless. They didn't seem to know anything about the job or the problems. The second team was with Ferguson. They were much better but still didn't have the parts needed to "fix" my brand new appliances. Now waiting on the third repair team who is 2 hours late with no notice. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. read more

They just kept telling me everything is standard in fittings these days even after I told them several times our sink is old and the fittings these days are too large. This place might have the absolute worst customer service of all time. 3/5 appliances purchased here were broken and they refused to replace any of them. They installed all of them and when GE came to do a warranty check they determined that the reason the appliances had broken was the installation was a hack job. I would highly recommend to only use this store as a showroom and instead order selected items elsewhere. You can find pretty much everything they carry online at stores out of state, and usually at a lower price and may not even have to pay sales tax which is an added bonus. My issue with this store is that I was sold a defective bathroom faucet which they refused to replace and instead questioned whether my contractor was using a licensed plumber (code for illegal immigrant). I was appalled by the implication and will never buy anything from this store again. Thankfully my contractor stepped in and replaced my faucet, which we found at a store out of state, and cheaper. read more

I wanted to update my review after the business owner contacted me. I reached out and was speaking with the manager, or someone at the parts dept that was nice and concerned. He refunded the money, which I greatly appreciated and ordered the part for me, but I still don't want to go back to the store. Maybe one day I'll give it another try and go back if needed. For now, my plumbing issues have gone away and I've learned my lesson just to have someone else fix rather than dyi Lady in the showroom was super nice but I needed to go to the parts dept to get what I needed. I went to the parts dept to get a new spout for my tub. I wait for a min to talk to someone (at least one of the guys was nice) and when I ask about the plastic piece in side coming out, he looked at me like I had three heads. I'm glad they think cutting copper pipe is easy, but I want to DIY and getting those supplies is not on my list. I wish they were more helpful, but maybe if I was a man, they would have been more of an assistance and not have talked to me like I was an idiot. I spent 40$ on something I won't be able to use and I will not even go back there to return it. Unbeknownst to me this was going to be a hassle. I went in and found the part I needed but the stupid plastic piece is stuck in the tub spout and I can't get it out. I will not be coming back here even to return the item. read more

Ordered a refrigerator on 9/4. Could've ordered anywhere. But chose Fergusons. Was told the week of 9/20 it was coming 9/27. Called 9/27 to check delivery. Was told by client services it would be delivered 9/28. Called , left messages , sent emails. Finally was told by Melissa Duke, that she was in meetings and busy with other clients and that the refrigerator was on backorder. That KitchenAid was the problem .After leaving messages for Lori the manager who was in meetings - finally she called back and basically said she would have to verify what I was saying. In the meantime I found the same refrigerator at HD for 200$ cheaper and will deliver in 3 days. What terrible customer service. I'll never set foot in there again read more

After our oven suddenly died in the middle of having a major event at our house (which required said oven) I contacted Ferguson and they were the only supplier who had the downdraft Kicthenaid model in stock we wanted to purchase. I spoke to them on a Friday afternoon and Nicole immediately gave me a call to schedule. It looked like their schedule would not be able to accommodate a site inspections until Tuesday with installation on Wednesday (and of course we needed the oven Wednesday).... Nicole was able to work with the installer to bump everything up by a day, over communicated on timelines and process and was always there to answer questions in a complicated situation. I REALLLY REALLY appreciated how helpful she was and I know where I will turn for basically anything else I can possibly purchase here. Thank you Nicole!!!! read more

Austin community: if you are starting a remodel or new build, Ferguson IS the place to go! I have done several projects over the years (having to move with my husband's job) in many different cities and I try to always use Ferguson. Austin by far is the best experience I have had. They display some over the top, amazing stuff like automatic toilets that practically talk to you but don't let that scare you, they have all the quality go-to brands with great prices and availability, in addition to the one of a kind "wow" faucets you might want to splurge on. A few pro tips before you go - I recommended making a trip to browse prior to making an appointment. There are SO many pretty fun things to look at and options these days so it helps be less overwhelmed when you are ready to start making decisions. An appointment is a MUST! You will get a dedicated knowledge sales person to walk you through every single thing you might need. They sell plumbing, appliances, lighting and cabinet hardware! If you don't make an appointment you run the risk of long wait times and not getting seen by the best, most knowledgeable sales staff in town. Not only are they great in the selection process they have a team and recourses to help with anything that comes during your project (because we know remodels are the most pleasant experiences right???). We had a part missing from our faucet when we got our delivery and the team helped me verify the part and get it sent out under warranty. Overall, remodels can be stressful especially during a pandemic but the Ferguson team will make your life easier during the process! I wish they sold more because not all vendors are as responsive and on top of it. read more

I have been working with Fergusons to get an oven since October 2020. I understand there are global supply shortages which is causing delays across numerous products. What I don't understand is why Ferguson's Sales teams are unresponsive and won't provide updates when requested. It's very frustrating and truly terrible customer service. I purchased new bathroom fixtures indirectly through my contractor approximately 4 years ago and about a year ago the $600 faucet I purchased began to leak. After a series of failed repairs a plumber finally told me one of the components was faulty but should be covered under my warranty if I had the original receipt. My contractor wasn't able to locate the receipt so I contacted Ferguson to ask if they could send him a copy for my warranty claim. I was told that they don't keep records of transactions going that far back. I think it's inexcusable that a business of this size discards (or refuses to provide) transaction records before the product's warranty even expires. They are also criminally overpriced, which I was willing to accept on the basis that they provide high quality products and excellent customer service, both of which appear not to be true. read more

They gave me a free toilet. Yep, that's right. The City of Austin has a free replacement toilet program, in which they will give you a free low flow toilet for houses built prior to 1994 or so. I sent in a request for a toilet voucher about 2 months ago, and it just came in last week. I guess, Ferguson Plumbing is contracted with the city, so we went over here Saturday morning to pick it up. The guys were super nice and helpful, made it pretty easy on us, and even loaded it up in the car. read more

Our home flooded in the Blanco River flood on Memorial Day weekend, 2015. On Friday, July 15, 2016, we finally completed the full remodel of our house. It would've been complete about six months earlier if we had not done business with Ferguson. We ordered bath trim kits - almost $3000 worth - from Ferguson in September of 2015. We had no follow up information except to find out a few months later, when we were getting close to install, that half of our order was back-ordered with no expected date provided. We followed up multiple times until they finally offered us one loaner valve and trim set so our shower would work. Then silence, no matter how many calls we made. Most often, our salesperson's voicemail box was full, so we couldn't leave a message. And the front desk folks are 16 years old, bored, and focused on their phones - they won't help other than to transfer you around in hopes someone picks up on the sales floor. Once, I lucked out and got a nice lady who tried to help me track down our parts, until she dropped off the face of the planet after one day and never returned our calls. Finally, I managed to get Jesse, our salesperson, to call me back, on a fluke. I had to play the pity party game and whine about our flood and essentially beg for someone to call me back. He created a shopping cart of all the items I needed, then took a screen-shot of it, and sent it to me "for confirmation". We were never able to connect again. Keep in mind Ferguson already has my money this whole time. I finally was able to connect with a customer service person at the home office in early July, who helped me find the product and complete the order with one phone call and a couple of emails, very efficiently. 9 months later. I expect that I made about 45-50 calls to Ferguson between November of 2015 and July of 2016, and I think the number of return phone calls I received would amount to approximately 6. There were truly moments when I thought I was being punk'd. I think I can confidently say this was the worst customer service experience of my life. read more

You can't talk plumbing supplies without mentioning Ferguson. I think all of us have a little plumber stuck inside wanting to come out. I for one would always play with the plunger when nobody is looking. And the fact that jeans are now made with such low waists means we can all show a little but crack when we get in the mood. But when I can't control my plumbing urges, and the plunger just isn't good enough, this is the place to go. The staff is helpful and the selection is enormous. And you will see a whole bunch of real plumbers hanging around, so you know this place is the real deal. Go ahead, rip out your sink or simply stop living with the toilet that doesn't flush right..... One point that you should know, I've checked their prices compared to the Home Depot, and for some of the basics, Home Depot can be cheaper. But then again, you don't get that true plumber experience at the Depot. read more

After trekking to HomeDepot, Lowe's, and one other store we were directed to Ferguson's Express Counter (which I am assuming is the same company with "Express Counter" added. It is in the same building and the young man at the counter said, "If we have it in stock it will be next door". So, walking into the business not a soul sitting behind the counter said a word to me or my father in law. They didn't ask if we needed assistance, they didn't ask what we were looking for, and they didn't even say "boo"! I guess walking into a store that is filled with contractors they don't think it's important to engage with us regular people. After finding what I thought I needed I went to the front and waited for someone to ask me to approach. Instead, a very surly guy that barked a rather rude "we don't sell those separately" comment when asking about an irrigation cap. I don't have to put up with this kind of rude uncalled for behavior from a lazy ill mannered employee of any company. In closing, I would not recommend this company to anyone. When it's time to remodel the bathrooms and kitchen I will find someplace else. Advise to the owner: train your lazy employees to treat everyone with respect, it goes a very long way. read more

Renovating a bath or kitchen? You have probably already been to Ferguson's. Fergie is a national chain for all things plumbing and they have 7 stores in Austin but they run the gamut from heating and cooling equipment to industrial plumbing supplies. When someone says "Ferguson's" I think of this bath and kitchen showroom on St. Elmo. Imagine a place that is the SIZE of Lowe's or Home Depot, but is chock full of only bath and kitchen fixtures. I have been to 3 other plumbing showrooms in Austin, but as far as variety and selection, this is the only game in town. If you are doing online research and you need a place to go to actually see and touch the real thing, this is the place to go. They have just started renovations, so if you can hold off visiting for a couple months it will be a more pleasant experience. The temporary showroom is outside and the selection of faucets is limited. Because they are renovating the south end of the building, you will now have to enter at the north end. The renovated 17,000 square feet plumbing playground will probably be completed in April. read more

This showroom is massive (4 stars), but Jonell Speak knows her stuff and really gets the extra star to bring them up to 5. I shopped for bath faucets, kitchen faucets, and a custom shower system. Jonell explained all the different shower setups very well, and was able to recommend a mix of brands to make a luxury custom shower system affordable. She responded quickly to e-mail or voicemail, was very flexible in setting appointments, and professional when I wound up ordering only a fraction of the pieces I obtained estimates for. They were very reasonably priced, and if you get the parts shipped to the store and they're currently available in the distribution center, there's no freight charges! I love saving money. Super bonus for the working folks, this place is open on Saturdays to browse. But you really should make an appointment if you need to talk to someone. I had a difficult time dragging my man out the store, because there was so much awesome to look at. There's a toilet that plays music and is electronically operated by the front. We purchased our chandelier back in May and our electrician came out to install it (it took four weeks to deliver which seemed reasonable especially with COVID). When we opened the box, we discovered it was the wrong light. We called Ferguson and they said they'd pick it up the next day. After a week, the giant chandelier and box were still at our house. They finally picked it up and said it would be another four weeks. We waited and waited and waited. We called Ferguson almost daily after the four weeks to see where it was. We were finally told a date that it would arrive at the store and to no surprise, it wasn't there as promised (we called to confirm). One day we called and we were told it was sitting there (nobody bothered to call us to let us know) and they were trying to coordinate with an electrician prior to coordinating with us...which we were told could be another week. We finally suggested our electrician and they were able to install it the next day. When they installed it, it we found out it did not include bulbs so we had to go get our own. We never received an apology, sense of urgency, a credit, or consideration that it took Ferguson FOUR MONTHS to deliver a chandelier. I could stomach the error with the light and the supplier but the lack of customer service from Ferguson was unacceptable. I will never shop at Ferguson again. read more

This place can be very overwhelming. I just walked in to take a look at what they have but if you really want help you need to make an appointment. The way it works is you make an appointment and the people will come take you around the store and there are 'talking' points and they can show you more options from catalogs and what not from what you need. I think I need to come back to make an appointment. Everything seemed really expensive but I think they are just showcasing a lot of top of the line things. I started using Ferguson about 20 years ago and had wonderful experiences. This has changed. While the showroom has many pretty things, sales staff is now lacking in product knowledge. I went in to replace a toilet seat in a specific color. I had learned from my own research that the manufacturer of the one I have discontinued making them. I believed Ferguson could help me find a replacement. The young girl assigned to help me had no clue as how to go about researching such a need. With no effort to address my need, she sent me to another plumbing supply store close to their showroom - Josco (they couldn't help me either). I finally went home and continued to research how I might find a replacement in the color I needed on my own. It took a little work, but I found it in about 20-30 minutes. Really, all you can do is sell new fancy showroom items? Thanks for nothing Ferguson! read more

Buyer Beware! I bought a very expensive wine refrigerator from this store. After two weeks it broke down. I called and they sent me to a factory authorized repair service. Two repair visits and 3 weeks later it still doesn't work. They are waiting on parts to make a third try ( 2-3 more weeks). I called Ferguson customer service three times to see if they could replace the appliance, or expedite parts- something. Each time I got a different person who said they would check into it and call me back. Not one of them called me back! I will never buy another appliance from Ferguson! read more

Worst service we have experienced in any store we have been in while looking for items for a complete house renovation. We put our names on the list then waited for over an hour for a salesperson. We finally left after watching at least three people finish with their customers and pick up their phones while we stood by. It took two appointments due to the size of our project. She was quick with quotes and responses. She carefully researched when needed and followed up on our orders and shipments. Presently, building in Austin and during Spring are busy endeavors so I super appreciate her reliability. POST ORDER: Herb assisted in delivery arrangements and missed items. He was pleasant, accommodating and reliable as well. Sorry to say but that type employee is rare in this age. He cared about the customer, not himself. So did Sasha. ____T I P S: 1. make an appointment before you go to the showroom They operate on a schedule in the showrooms. Drop ins cannot be expected to receive the high quality personal service that they need because all staff might be booked already. 2. Think about what your needs beforehand and bring your plans. They'll help you navigate options and what makes sense in your budget. They remember to ask and consider the technical side as well as on the lighting & design & functionality side that you may not know to consider. That is harder to accomplish with online shopping. This is our 4th project and I still wanted professionals like Sasha at Ferguson involved. 3. Be prepared for things to take longer than what was once usual, including delays due to out of stock. Construction is hot especially in Austin. Also, manufacturing is now done more in a demand way and does not always keep up. We've had some problems on our big project with all the instability in trade right now affecting price on steel etc. ..... Good News......Ferguson's just opened another showroom in 183/MoPac area, a much needed location but too late for me on this project. Still, I schlepped all my plans down to the St. Elmo location because I knew the effort would pay off in reduced headaches with regard to details, storage of items until all in for delivery, and better pricing on most if not all. Keeping track of orders and shipment can be time consuming and tedious so I let Ferguson's do it. I think that Ferguson's is doing a good job despite the fact that they really do not have competition for the type service and expertise that they offer. Sasha and Herb cared about the service that they delivered to me as a customer. Thanks to them both. Only real complaint on Ferguson's are their online search tools and web site. However, aside from their supply side for the contractors, they are primarily a personal service with individuals and thus the appointment system; at least that has always been my impression. read more
