The freezer side (left needed a new part) had ice building up and the fridge (right side) was not cold. Our fridge is well kept for its age over 15 yrs. MICKEY mentioned the heater part had to be replaced. He said that part usually only lasts about 10yrs. So, we were very lucky nothing happened or needed repaired till now. That info was good to know.
