This is the worst possible review that I can write. This business has committed fraud. My wife pre-paid $800 for a Miele vacuum in June 2025. She was told at that time that she needed to pre-pay to obtain a "sale" price, but the vacuum could be picked up soon when they had it in stock. We still don't have the vacuum in October 2025, and the company is disputing our complaint. I don't typically leave bad reviews, and we have been Austin residents for over 30 years, and this is the worst experience I have ever had with an Austin business. read more

This shop is a real gem and the only place I know of in Austin that I can bring my vacuum in for quick efficient service at a reasonable price. I previously had brought in my old Kirby that they fixed right up and I was able to get a new belt and bags for it. This time I brought in my Bissell for a replacement part that had broken off. I had tried flying it but decided to bring it in to get a tight fit. The saleswoman greeted me right away and I showed her what was wrong with my Bissell and she immediately knew what the problem was and took it off wot u such mastery. She explained that it was best to replace the whole top part of the canister instead of the small clip. She took my vacuum to the back and was back out with it all on in a matter of a couple minutes. 30$ and it was good as new. So worth the drive and bringing it in instead of se ding off for a part, pay shipping and try and figure out how to put it on. I have the shop number programmed in my phone. LOL not that I have constant vacuum needs but it's great to have as a contact. This is a great Austin treasure. read more

This place is THE most unhelpful place I have ever TRIED to work with! I was attempting to vacuum my house today when the electric plug broke - one of the prongs just broke off, so I called ABC vacuum boutique to see if they could help me replace it and, although this SHOULD be a relatively quick and simple job, they told me that it would be at least a WEEK before they could get to it because they had "so many jobs ahead of mine." You would think that they would want to win you over and do a good job so that when you DO HAVE a big job, you will come to them for service, but that is not the case! (They always begin by asking you what brand your appliance is. They ask this because they absolutely will NOT work Shark products, and they aim to turn you down as quickly as possible.) First off, brand really DOESN'T MATTER when you're dealing with an electric cord!!! I'm not sure where to go to get something like this completed, but ABC is definitely NOT WILLING TO HELP. Basically, they only want big jobs and if you aren't going to buy a brand new piece of expensive equipment from them or complete an expensive repair, they don't want to deal with you, period. Lame. This was not the first time I have tried to get them to help me with a problem. It's just the first time that I decided to write about it. read more

I brought my Hoover canister vacuum in because it had stopped working. The woman who greeted me was very dismissive, told me it needed a new motor and that it would be cheaper to buy a new one "you can find them on Amazon" and then walked away. Made it seem like I was interrupting and I wasn't worth her time. To replace it would have been $130, but before I threw it away, I decided to crack it open to see how complex it was. It's a really basic machine and I was able to order a new motor for $60 and replaced it myself in about 15 minutes. 2 stars because her rudeness ended up saving me the cost of their repair fee. read more

Was very impressed with the professionalism, friendliness, thorough, and clear communication! Brian took a look at my Bissell vacuum and immediately discussed with me repair options. He gave me updates via text as well as a general time line of when the repairs would be ready. He was able to have Bissell replace the vacuum for a newer model since the older model is no longer available. Brian also checked with the warranty and found out my vacuum was still under warranty! Worst customer service. I initially went to them to get my vacuum fixed and after looking at it a while they said there's nothing I can do and I had to buy a new one. Needing a new one that day, I looked at their inventory and bought one from them. The first time I used it, it was very frustrating as the vacuum kept pushing dust behind the vacuum- needing me to sweep it up after. Not what one should have to do after purchasing a new 300$ vacuum. I gave it another chance a week later and it started smoking on my hardwoods. It smelt burnt and I immediately unplugged and went to the shop to try and return or get a refund for this machine that clearly wasn't working. They were unsympathetic towards the issue, claiming it was a user error for clogging a machine (on the second try?), and said they could neither refund or return the dud of a vacuum they sold to me. Wasted several hundred dollars and lots of time and patience Will never do business with them again. Just go to Best Buy, at least they will return faulty vacuums. read more

We tried to fix our Dyson Animal on our own. It started tripping the breaker so knew something had to be fixed. It is over 10+ years old and has served us well and weren't ready to give up. Once I got to a certain point, I asked myself why I wasn't just bringing it to the experts?!? We dropped off and received it back in couple of weeks good as new. Yelp did not lead me astray. I needed a new vacuum and did some research online. After fighting for many years with hose attachments on an upright vacuum, I determined that a canister vac would be the right thing for me. The vacuum I wanted was available online from a big-box retailer (hint: they always have a 20% off coupon). I had it in my shopping cart along with some replacement bags. I applied my coupon and was ready to go...but I had this nagging feeling that I should at least try to find the vacuum at a small, local shop. As far as I can tell, ABC is the only "mom and pop" vacuum shop left in Austin, so the decision was made for me. Crystal greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She inquired about my needs and showed me the features of a larger version of the vacuum that I was thinking about purchasing online. It certainly helps to see these things in person, because I had ruled out this model thinking that it would be too large to fit in my closet. As it turns out, this vacuum isn't much larger, but it has more to offer than the "entry-level" model. You would think that I might have saved money by purchasing online, but ABC offers $50 off when you trade-in your old vacuum. Crystal also gave me a 4 pack of replacement bags, 2 filters, and some deodorizing powder. With the trade-in discount and the extra goodies, I spent the same amount that I would have online, and I ended up with a much nicer model. Crystal also assembled the vacuum for and recycled the box, which was a huge bonus for me. I can't recommend ABC Vacuum warehouse enough. The customer service I received was outstanding, and I love my new Miele canister vac! read more

Could not recommend them more, they are super knowledgeable and have experience with all types of vacuums. I brought my vacuum here last year when it stopped working. After two weeks, they aid I needed a new motor and it would be $250, so I decided to buy a new vacuum instead. Today my husband took a look at the old vacuum that ABC said needed a new motor. He found the motor was in working order, and he was able to repair the vacuum in a few minutes. Unfortunately, when I had picked up my old vacuum from ABC, the hose, which had been fine before, was broken off and the cord inside of it was broken too. Now we're trying to order the new hose online and it's quite expensive. Shame on you ABC for saying we needed to repair a motor that was actually fine, and for breaking our hose. As I pulled up and was getting out of the car with my two grandchildren, the lady came out to help me with the vacuum from the trunk as I was busy with 2 kids, a princess book and a slinky. Crystal is the vacuum whisperer. My wife told me our almost new Dyson was making a weird noise and didn't have suction. Of course my first thought was that it was busted and I was looking at buying a new one. Then came my vacuum savior - Crystal at ABC Vacuum Warehouse! I stopped in and Crystal met me with a smile and asked what she could help with. I showed her the Dyson and she proceeded with her vacuum magic. She turned it on for about a second and then, with the confidence of a skilled vacuum doctor said she could fix it up for low fee and have me up and running with full suction in no time. She took my Dyson back to the outpatient surgery room in the back of the warehouse, performed a quick procedure, and then the Dyson breathed back to life. Crystal brought the Dyson out and showed me the culprit, a pesky bobby pin that was clogging the vacuum, making noise and preventing proper suction. I was in and out in 10 minutes and saved a bundle. Beware!!!!! I brought my upright Hoover in for a full refurbishment and service. I was told it would be less than a week and was ver Lear I wanted it Fully refurbished both mechanic Ly and cosmeticLy polished etc I was fine with an anticipated paying at least 150+ cost and made that very clear...,fast forward it was multiple weeks with no call so I called I was it seemed like they had forgotten it, was told it will be worked on tomorrow, came in after a week to find that not only was the vac not cleaned and polished but also they did not replace the brush as agreed. I was told hey did some work inside that can't been seen. 84 dollar bill given and paid but not sure what for sure, vacuums looks the same works the same sounds the same, feeling like I was ripped off. Expressed dissatisfaction at the appearance name lack of new brush as requested and was told to goto Home Depot and buy some polish myself !!! I took my Kirby in at lunch today to drop it off for repair. After describing the problems and how I attempted to fix them to Crystal, she said, "Be right back." She emerged from the back room with a pair of pliers that would make Victor Frankenstein proud. After some poking and prodding, the problems were fixed and my vacuum is back to optimal sucking. Can you have fun at a vacuum store? Yes, yes you can. I brought my Dyson in for some maintence and Crystal was there to greet me with her dazzling smile and warm, knowledgable, self. She even does sound effects to mimic and diagnose your vacuum. 11/10 on accuracy of needing a new filter. As if that weren't enough...I got a show! It took her and Manny...and Manny dragging her around the floor as she clung to my vacuum to dislodge the extension wand b/c the hose was so degraded. New hose. New filter, installed and I was in and out in 15 minutes with a vacuum that runs like new. My only regret was that I didn't have another problem for them to fix and that I neglected to tip them for the show. I cannot imagine going to another place for my vacuum and vacuum related needs. read more

Our Kirby vacuum lost good suction on carpet so I stopped in here to get it looked at. Manny immediately said it was probably the belt and went to the back to get a new one. He swapped it out and tested out right in front of me...good as new! He even refused to take payment for it! When I asked if they sold the bags there, he said they did but were out of the specific ones I needed. Then he double checked the back and gave me one loose one they had remaining to hold me over until I could order a new pack myself. He again wouldn't accept any money for it.
