Hands down the worst customer service at any Lowe's I've ever been to. Their store Assistant Manager (Jennifer) has the worst attitude. Confusing how she would still have a job when she treats customers horribly. I'm sure there are more customer service friendly employees that would love the opportunity to be a good Store Manager. I live closest to the Shoal Creek location, but I drive all the way just to see Tyler H. I had such negative customer service experiences at Brodie Lane and Shoal Creek that I switched to Bee Cave for Tyler H.'s white glove service. Tyler gave me his personal cell phone number even though he's now in the flooring department. Re: Windows Tyler assigned me to Brandon of Lowe's Marble Falls, who has the best customer service reviews. He's got higher reviews than any other in home consultants in Austin. Tyler texted that both Brandon and him really enjoyed working with me. My bids were as follows for four windows: 1. Lowes Pella Architect (including octagon w/ gray tint and sidelight tempered & frosted and Austin city permit) = $7000 However, they do not paint trim for free if dinged or damaged. 2. Wilco Windows Pella Impervia (including octagon of alleged Impervia and sidelight tempered & obscure) = $7300 I say alleged because Laura, the Pella Austin Regional Sales Rep said Impervia didn't come in octagon. I'm not sure if the octagon was vinyl, custom fiberglass, or wood. 3. Marvin Replacement Infinity (including octagon and sidelight tempered & frosted) = $9200 Does not include white glove service of removing & reinstalling roller shades for free. read more

The employees here at Lowe's are straight up rude, I called in to ask about a product, after 5 minutes I finally got a real person on the line. I asked a simple direct question if they carried a ac product, the guy was like "I'm not sure." Okayyyyy So I said "Could you please find out?" Same cycle repeats when asking for the price and after I say thank you, he hangs up on me. We have choices where we shop, obviously by looking at their awful reviews, they really don't care if they have your business or not. I tried to buy a combination Dewalt Circular Saw and batteries. Lowes did not have the circular saw in stock so I offered to buy the upgraded saw (XR) and pay the difference between it and the one they did not have. I had to have the saw for a project the next day. All of the customer service employees said that this was not a problem. Enter the Lowes Manager. She said no. I did not buy anything from Lowes sense. I gave my Lowes Credit card to one of the managers and told them to give it to the manager. Of course, this was after I cancelled the card. Since then I have purchased all my items including the DeWalt items from Ace or Home Depot. I have had a Lowes CC for over 6 years and used it extensively. But not any more. I am not at all surprised to see that this location has low ratings. Their prices are offerings are no different from the others, but their employees are rude. I went in one time to purchase a solution that you spray on tree when you trim their limbs to prevent them from infection. I searched all over to find an employee and found two guys having a conversation about their hats. Thrilling... Anyway, I must have been out of line to ask about the product I wanted to buy. One of the guys points back toward the store and says an aisle number. I go there and search and search, walk around to the ends of the aisle, etc. and I don't see it. I made a point to go back to the same guy because I am fairly certain that they are told to actually walk you to the product. Anyway, he finally pulls up his tool to see that there are other products with a similar name and he suggests those. I am no tree expert, but I am pretty sure that paint sealant is NOT what you use on trees. While he's looking there, I look on my phone and find the item I need appears to be available at Home Depot. I said that I guess I'm going to go there. He throws his hands up and says, "Guess you should do that." I gave him a raised eyebrow and walked away. I came in quickly to check out the 5 gallon water jugs. Completely sold out. And I knew they would be. There's a cold front coming and everyone is thinking February 2021 ice storm. I thought maybe they would have some, but, sadly, I missed out. While I was there, thought I would walk around a little. Noticed their Christmas items are already at 75% off. Yup, a few days before Christmas, they are clearanced deeply. Maybe they need to make room for Fourth of July items. Retail loves to move on to the next major holiday. Anyway. This location is a great location. It's a shopping center next to another shopping center. Lots of shops, and restaurants. Huge parking lot. Typically, we are happy with the Lowe's at Bee Cave and shop there very frequently. However, we ordered four outdoor chaise lounges and waited a week or two for them to arrive and then be assembled. This was fine as we planned ahead for our company who arrives in a week. The young man that came to assemble them last night scratched one and then broke another. My husband went in to speak to customer service and the woman was rude. she made him pay for another entire set which won't be delivered for over a week and won't refund the first set until it's picked up. We decided to cancel everything and purchase chairs elsewhere that will be delivered in time for next weekend. However, Lowe's won't do that. We have to wait for delivery and then call for them to be picked up, and then we will be refunded! Poor customer service! read more

absolutely the worst service I've experienced in a long time. we ordered a Frigidaire Refrigerator to go in our utility room. At the time of purchase we explained that the doors needed to be reversed. The first delivery group broke the Fridge and left us with a very unstable unit. The second delivery group worked on reversing the doors for an hour, gave up and returned the fridge to the warehouse. I spent 2 days waiting for a new fridge only to have nothing working from Lowes. Had Pella window replacements done by Lowe's. Good price, good installation ... until it came to getting the window crank and locks. Three times over the past 4 months they have sent the wrong colors and quantity. Note that the installer sub-contractor is fine, it's the store that keeps ordering the wrong color and quantity! I've had a couple of experiences with this store. One was to pick up an electric weed-trimmer via curbside delivery that was out-of-stock at virtually every other Lowe's in Austin. That was a totally flawless experience with fast curbside service. Five stars for that. A more recent experience in-store for plumbing supplies didn't go as well. I could have used curbside again, but it was early, I hadn't planned ahead for curbside, and I felt kind of foolish with an order under $5. The stock of PVC fittings was depleted and I found it difficult to find the items I needed. When I got to the self-check registers, the open one I chose wasn't scanning reliably. I self-check successfully all the time, so this was an equipment failure at the scanner, not a cockpit error. An associate had to key in the tiny UPC numbers by hand via override. He eventually had some success with the handheld scanner intended for large and bulk items.. The associate was very helpful and kind, which offset some of the frustration of a failed tactical get-it-and-get-out. But the reality is that register should have been closed. As a footnote, I have to say the clientele that frequent this location don't seem very concerned about not masking and standing close, so make sure you PPE-up if you have to go in. read more

We tried to buy a new 30" in wall oven from Lowe's in Bee Cave, but were told by their installation team that it would not fit in the space. Actually we had to call to find out the results of the visit by the measurement guy, to get that information after a two week delay. We were replacing a different 30" oven. We went to Ferguson's Appliance and bought the same oven, no issues. It was installed today in less than 30 minutes in the same space as the old oven. Seems like Lowe's needs a new installation team or better measuring tapes. read more

One star - two years ago bought an expensive refrigerator that was new and made unique ball ice - as such bought an extended warranty - (3 years) Two years into it - stopped working - called warranty repair- said they would have to find someone in area to repair and would call back within 24 hours Week later ( after no call back ) called again and was told exact same thing Three weeks later - sent a note saying I wanted a full refund as apparently the warranty program does not work when it's needed. Funny how when you really need service no one is available. I was seeking Christmas items and trees. So there I was in a hurry for a party to throw and my boyfriend and I was stunned when we were seeking help to buy a large tree for our place. So we waitedcahs walked all over the store and seems only three people working at Lowes incall we saw. I felt like leaving and going to buy a tree elsewhere. The lights for Christmas tree was a little higher than most areas so I decided to do online shopping. Lowes needs an over haul in there store. We were so disappointed hoping they improved in any areas but nothing gave me incentive to return. We come to this store all the time because it's close to home. We just bought several bags of mulch and we're ask to go through the pick up area. We did and so did the guy in front of us. He was also getting lots of mulch. After about 10 minutes NO one came so I called the store. She said someone is coming. The guy in truck loaded his truck with mulch. We waited about another 10 minutes. No one came. My husband just loaded it and we left. I called back the store and told the same girl what we did. She said it's Saturday. This is the absolute most amazing Lowes I have ever been. We are from out of state and just moved here in November. We bought a house that's a bit of a fixer-upper and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the people and customer service at this location. First of all Norman. Norman is our hero. He is attentive, kind, caring, always has a smile on face. Has helped us with ALL of our appliances. Follows up on ours and when they will arrive on the regular. Has gotten us great prices on floor models of appliances because our orders are taking a long time from the manufacturer. He always helps me to my car, even though that isn't his job. He helped save a Christmas tree for our daughter so j could go back home and grab our truck to come and get it. This man is a gem and we feel blessed to know him. If you are buying an appliance GO SEE NORMAN! Kenneth - we adore Kenneth, he is a wealth of knowledge and has such a kind heart. I have had to call my husband with questions and Kenneth will talk on the phone with him to make sure I and buying the right things. When you get Norman and Kenneth together they are so fun and funny. Everyone has been kind and helpful. We know this is a big box store BUT it truly feels like a local mom and pop hardware store and we are thankful for everyone who has taken the time to help especially Norman!! read more

I recently encountered issues with the plumbing in my home. I am admittedly not the most handy of people, but attempted to make repairs on my own. I had to make multiple trips to Lowe's and, unfortunately, some of the components that I required were on back order and took a number of days to come in. The same parts were available at Home Depot without delay open parentheses (although at a slightly higher price ). I also found that the selection of parts in general was somewhat more extensive at Home Depot, at least when it comes to Plumbing supplies. read more

Oh boy, stay away from a certain "Norman" in Appliances. After spending an hour installing an induction stovetop we were assured by both Samsung and Lowe's reps "It will fit!", the glass was an 1/8" smaller, on the left and right. We approached Norman and he immediately started walking away from the desk. I said Hi and that I just had a couple of questions. One was about a feature of a stovetop they sell and the second was about exact measurements of cutout minimums and maximums. Then the abuse, snide retorts and put-downs began. "You should read the description before coming here", "we are not installers, so we don't know what you are talking about", "your cutout is too small" (our cutout is in fact bigger that the minimum), and finally "you cannot get the credit card 20% off because the stovetop you want is already on sale". That was just false, if you sign up for the Lowe's credit card, 20% discount is applied as long as the associate scans a barcode they have on a card at their desks. I asked for a more knowledgeable associate. "Sorry, I am the only one here", came the quick reply. Then he started filling out the order on his terminal. I had to stop him. We went to the front but they declined to ring us up. The lady says: "Oh, that just old Norman, that's just the way he always is with everybody". So we contacted one of the managers. She knew about Norman and assigned us Ms. Gloria. Gloria was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. She made quick work of ordering our stovetop and scheduling a delivery in a day or two. It came today with no issues. To finish it off, Norman managed to follow us to the exit, and as we made our way to our car in the parking lot, he yells out: " Have a good day... Byyyyeee, Take care now..." In conclusion, if you need to buy any appliance from Lowe's at Bee Cave, TX, and you see "Norman" at the desk, we suggest that you run for your life. read more

Recently purchased a new home nearby, so I've spent more time in this store than I would ever care to. Unlike most other Lowe's I've been to in the past, employees are pretty easy to locate if you need assistance and are very friendly and helpful. Have interacted with all departments: Lumber cut wood to my exact specifications (saved me from having to do it); bathroom helped me pick out great tile for a reno project; bought new HE washer and dryer, simple and easy and free delivery and install; tons of electrical (replacing several gfci plugs); plumbing (replaced a few flappers in toilets); electrical and lighting (~10 fans and light fixtures); you name it, I think I did it. Oh, and paint. Lots and lots of paint. House only 5 years old, but custom and I wanted to make just a "few" changes. Geez! Took way longer than expected. As of Saturday, EVERYTHING is finally done!!! Now I have more time to Yelp and go more places to review and maybe meet new friends in the area! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Lowe's for all of your loving support along the way! I paid $7500 for carpet at Lowe's 10 days ago. They won't let you schedule install until carpet arrives from warehouse. Lowe's told me ServicPros, the Lowe's contracted installer, would call as soon as carpet arrived. Once carpet arrived, no one called to set appointment. I called 3 times and finally got on schedule for earliest appointment A MONTH later. Not sure why Lowes contracts with a company with no availability or customer service. I looked them up and they have an average of 1 star reviews. Would have bought elsewhere if I'd know. Shame on you, Lowes. read more

This is actually a review for Lowe's subcontractor, The Floor Doctor. Since they don't appear to have a Yelp page, here we go. So we bought some carpet through Lowes. The process was a little arduous, especially if you wanted their incentives (must buy brand X, on Y date, and spend Z amount of money), but we worked through it and they were nice enough. Really good communication throughout, especially for a big box retail chain. So install day comes around, and the Floor Doctor guys arrive. They're on time, they're polite, they get the job done quickly. As they go to leave, I start inspecting the rooms, and notice there are several shallow dents along the bottom of the wall, presumably from the knee kicker. In one spot, the framing of the closet door has been damaged. I grab the installer and show them the damage, to which they respond "It was like that." Uhhh, no it wasn't. Clearly they're dishonest, not equipped to repair anything, and in a hurry to leave. Fine, I'll take it up with Floor Doctor. I call Floor Doctor, they tell me a manager will call me within 48 hours. Lowe's calls me and solicits feedback, I tell them what happened. They tell me they'll pass it along to Floor Doctor and that a manager will call me within 48 hours. That was two weeks ago. I'm not a complete a-hole, I realize that the damage is extremely light, and can be solved with $10 worth of paint. The damage is a tertiary concern at this point, behind the fact that the employees would boldface lie to me, and not one, but two different companies failed to even contact me. Our refrigerator picked a terrible time to break down during the tail end of a pandemic. Due to the horrific amount of hoarding at our local stores, the precious little amount of food we procured for our freezer was almost a miracle and the thought of losing our contents was really dismaying. It's just two of us, so we have no backup fridge and needed to purchase a new one ASAP. I was admittedly frazzled when I went to find a new fridge and the gentleman who's name I can't recall was so helpful and gracious and steered me away from a Samsung due to their issues and helped me land on a fabulous Whirlpool French style fridge. Delivery was almost two weeks out, which wouldn't work during this emergency, so he managed to squeeze us in for a delivery 6 days out. Thankfully we got our freezer to hold out for those last few days and lived out of our yeti as the fridge was toast. Stressful!!! The day of delivery felt like Christmas!!! We love our new fridge and are so relieved to not stress anymore. The only suggestion I have is for the delivery crew to wear masks. I'm immune compromised, Sonics been taking Covid precautions very seriously. We aren't out of the woods yet, so it was a little unsettling to have the crew not practicing distancing and breathing and taking all over the kitchen and living room. I'm a germaphobe as it is, so wish Lowe's would implement the wearing of masks when their staff are in customer's homes. Sure would suck to have been vigilant with isolation only to catch Covid from a delivery driver. We did a Lysol bomb after they left and wiped down the many surfaces the crew touched, but I could tell they are anti- mask by their demeanor, so we let it go, but customers should not be left to feel awkward during these times. I have no idea where the crew has been nor what they could've been exposed to, so that's why I took off a star, we desperately needed our fridge, so didn't want to ruffle any feathers. I think it's irresponsible of Lowe's to not require their delivery teams to practice safety measures at this time. read more

NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM THESE PEOPLE. They don't care and only give excuses. They promise to find out what is going on with your order and never call back. I ordered a dishwasher and a refrigerator from them on Memorial Day. First they blame it on the factory distribution center and then when it gets to their distribution center they lie it hasn't shown up. Then when you speak with someone else, they admit it's there, but the trucks coming to Austin are full. We have been in a house with no refrigerator or dishwasher for almost a month. When I spoke with Jonathan, one of the shift managers, he is good at giving excuses but no solutions. Incompetent people. The agent made sure it was included and the installer will also take the old dishwasher back. Today only the dishwasher is delivered. When I asked for help, they said it was the agents mistake but they will not do anything to fix. I will still need to wait 10 more days!! My husband and I moved to Lakeway in early April this year !! Lowe's has been our Go To Store !!! Tyler, the manager, is amazing ! So Friendly and informative, he goes the extra mile to Remember you ! We met Veronica in the Major Appliance department and she's wonderful ! She absolutely gets thing done ! Then there's Stan in the Door Department, we ordered 4 doors from him from Jeldwen and he really knows his stuff, always friendly, willing to help whenever he can. Diana in the Paint Department is so nice also and extremely helpful with all my painting needs. Gloria has helped me with numerous things including check-out, she always has a smile to greet you and talks about your projects, great job !! Then there's Guy and Bob, they really can help you with all your needs, super smart about tools and everything you might need for your home !! They got a new one picked out and the box was damaged. The said it was fine. After the 45 minute drive home we discovered this one was worse than the last. Very damaged from poor handling also.
