Sometimes someone will answer and tell us something and then we call back and someone else tells us the other person was wrong. Sometimes they say we're getting our washer dryer in a week then we're told it's not in stock. Albert in Appliances was super knowledgeable and patient. We bought our fridge and w&d. He got us Saturday delivery and installation. We got a call Friday evening to confirm our delivery the next day and asked what time we preferred them to arrive. Although he couldn't guarantee the time, I appreciate him taking it into consideration (I think his name was Bobby or Robbie). I said earlier the better. Got a call at 9 am saying they were finishing up with the customer ahead of us and will be there shortly. Two gentlemen arrived, brought everything in, hooked it all up and were so helpful! We had an issue with our baseboards preventing our fridge from opening all the way but Carlos gave us a great solution. Carlos was incredibly patient and took the time to explain everything to us. For 5 years, I've put up with them being mediocre and never complained. They were more convenient than Home Depot so that's where my money went. Appliances, grill, home improvement, work projects, etc. I put most things on my Lowe's credit card and track with my myLowes account. The only reason I mention that is because I was ultimately mixed up with someone else and they could have just looked up my account. I returned a few items left over from a big project. I received a store credit. When I went to use part of it the following week, they needed to see my Drivers License. I commented that I was glad I hadn't given the credit to my wife because I had no idea a drivers license was needed. The cashier said as long as the address was the same, we would be fine. The next day my wife went to use the credit to get some flowers and was denied. I texted a photo of my drivers license and they still wouldn't allow it after a lot of back and forth. We have the same last name, same address, and she's got a text with my drivers license on it. I called the store and was not allowed to speak to the manager. Both of us were accused of being someone who had made a big suspicious return the previous day. They had us mixed up with someone else. I tried to call the store again and was told I couldn't speak with a manager. I called Lowe's customer service and was told how that what happened to me was wrong. They said I would be contacted within 24 hours. My attempts to reconcile this with the store took hours and the poor guy I spoke with kept saying "I don't know what's wrong with them here. I don't understand why they are not allowing her to make a purchase." He mentioned that he had just transferred from another store and that he was surprised by the manager not speaking to me or refusing to allow my wife to make the purchase. 3 days later an assistant manager called and apologized for the inconvenience and offered a 20% coupon. I was once again referred to as someone who had done a suspicious return on a day that I hadn't been shopping. I told them to look up my account as all of my purchases and returns were on my card. She said my wife not being allowed to use the credit was "for my protection." I get it--they must get scammed from time to time. Never once was I contacted by the store or given any information about my order, in regards to status or delivery. I have sent emails to the cabinet person and no reply. If I could give zero stars, I would. We ordered and paid for a Kitchen Aid range top on Friday a week ago and were told it would be delivered the following Tuesday or Wednesday. After hearing nothing, I called and was told it wasn't on the truck that day and we could check back with them on Friday. I told them not to deliver and I would come into the store and pick it up myself. I called Friday after lunch and was told the truck was there and they showed it was there. When I arrived at the store, they said it was marked for delivery but it was not on the truck as expected and they have no idea when it will arrive. There was another frustrated customer in front of me that was cancelling his order. This Lowe's is consistently bad at customer service- I would cancel the order but I really want this range top so I guess we will see how it goes. SMH. read more

Love Lowe's garden center. They have nice selection of bushes and flowers, best price in town and great 1-year warranty on trees. While all private local nurseries hiked the prices up during Covid and after Texas snowstorm, Lowe's still keep their price the lowest. I purchased a kitchen cabinet order from this location. I paid for the lowes measurement service to come out to evaluate the kitchen so that cabinets would the correct size. The lowes cabinet coordinator and their contractor came to my home to measure. All of the appliances were present at the time of measurement and the old cabinets had already been removed from the home. The cabinets arrived over 6 weeks later and were about to be installed when we realized that the entire back wall was incorrectly measured. All the cabinets were incorrect size for the back wall. The cabinets on each side of the range were 6 inches too large. Additionally the load bearing wall post was in the incorrect location on schematic. My house has been cabinet less for 4 months while waiting for the custom order. This doesn't even include all the errors with quoting the incorrect sink for $ 1200 when I had discussed a $400 sink on multiple occasions. I had a printed copy of the sink I requested at the second of three meetIngs. Drew attention to the issue at least three times. Then 2 months later, the incorrect $1200 sink was on the quote for cabinets installation. Additionally they had the incorrect address on my order, which I drew attention to three times. I had to contact the cabinet manufacturer to fix the address myself. I don't understand how you can coordinate cabinets and not be able to measure correctly, keep correct records of the sink style, cabinet type, address of the home etc. What is the point of a coordinator who coordinates nothing? Now I'm waiting again for this debacle to be sorted out. If you like camping in your own home for months then definitely get your order in here. read more

I have to start by saying that lowes does have a good selection of plants which is why I'm giving them 1-star. However their customer service is non existent. I read through many of the reviews and it seems almost everyone is dissatisfied with this lowes in one way or another. My short story is that no one helped me. When I asked for help, the person had no idea what I was talking about. He says to ask another man who treated me like I was dumb when asking what plants thrived in shade. After an hour of looking I decided on what plants I wanted and began filling my cart. When I wanted plants from the front of the door, they had closed them and told me to walk to the front of the store around to the other side of the gate. No sign or indication that they were going to close the gate. So I left Sadly I will have to return as Home Depot's selection is not that good. You will pay thousands of dollars and get the run around from the staff, never hear from the store manager, load of s*** from their corporate office , and employees who generically give you answers that are lies. We order two appliance here and not only did their delivery guys lie to get out of delivering our appliances one night as we waited hours for them, they constantly delay your shipment, when you talk to dispatch they never have an idea of who is delivering and what is actually going on. When we finally received our dryer, it was completely dented and banged up but of course Lowe's took no accountability for it and said it's the manufacturers fault. Their delivery guys also don't respect your home and walk through it without putting in foot coverings . So, I went here today to buy a bunch of stuff to work on my home today and needed to have a couple of 2x10s cross cut. Apparently the saw is broken and has been for some time. I asked the employee how long it has been broken and if there was a plan to have it fixed. He said he didn't know. I said that it was a shame that they would lose my business today. He said it "really doesn't effect is". Wow, I wish that losing my customers business did not effect my businesses. We have officially become a 3rd world country. Do not use their installers! 1. ReliaBilt 3900 Series Silent Guard window is horrible. We bought 2 kinds of windows, one was a simple ReliaBilt 3900 Series window and we are happy with it but the ReliaBilt 3900 Series "Silent Guard" window is horrible, when it rains and the sun comes out (which happens a lot in Texas), the sun bakes the rain drops into the window and you can not remove them. If you scrub too hard it will remove the dark film on the surface. You would think the film would be on the inside but it isn't. 2. The Window and Door installers are terrible. a. We were told by the Lowes Rep that the threshold would be sanded down and it would not be higher than 1.5 inches once the new door was installed. The installer did not sand it down, he shimmed the new door up and now the threshold is 3 inches high! and we have to warn everyone who comes over to be careful they don't trip. b. We were told all windows and door would have Great Stuff put into the cracks. Fortunately, the new door trim was not installed so when he pulled the old off, I saw it wasn't fully insulated with Great Stuff and was able to have the installer put it in. c. The Lowes Rep said the installer would "cut in" the window. When the Installer came he said, "I have been installing windows for 14 years and we don't cut them in, but if you think you know better than we can cut them in for you. How about we split the difference?" I said "No, i am not going to have windows hanging off the side of my house." The window he was replacing was only 1.5" deep and the new one was 4.25" deep. The window would have been hanging off the side of the house by almost 3 Inches!!!!! d. We have a stucco house and the installer used drywall screws to attach the Hardy board trim. They should have used cement screws. e. You had to watch these installers through the entire process because if they could cut corners they would. It saved them time and supplies. 3. Lowes says they guarantee their work, but I still have a 3 inch threshold and now I have a window that has baked rain drops on it and it will only get worse as time goes by, with layers upon layers of rain drops. read more

Recently, my wife and I went to Lowes to purchase a new kitchen counter top. After selecting a countertop we liked, we indicated that we would replacing an existing countertop. The sales person suggested that we should measure the thickness of the old countertop. We went home and did this and emailed her. She noted that the new countertop would be about ¾" thinner than the old one. Although this would leave a gap above the new countertop to the backsplash, she said that this was no problem, as there were several ways around this that did not require purchasing a new backsplash. Nevertheless, when Lowes had someone come out and measure our countertop, they said that we WOULD need to replace the backsplash. When i contacted the sales person at Lowes, she reversed her earlier position and indicated that we would need to replace the backsplash (which she could sell us). When I reminded her of the other options she had listed in her email, she failed to respond to my email and phone call. When I asked the store manager for a refund, he agreed to a partial refund of our deposit but refused to refund the money for the measurements. We believe that Lowes should refund the entire deposit as we agreed to have the measurements taken based on the assumption that the countertop could be installed without replacing the backsplash.I have been a loyal customer at Lowes for several decades and I am terribly disappointed by this. read more

Are you kidding me...! We had 2 boxes of coffee in our shopping cart cruising the carpet section. As we narrow down our search we left the cart in the middle of the aisle... For 2 minutes tops. Only to drag a 5 x 7 carpet roll towards our now missing cart. Mysteriously there on the floors are two boxes of coffee but alas no cart. In disbelief we walk up the aisle only to find Scott a Lowe's Bee Cave employee who confessed to give away our cart someone else was carrying something heavy. Oh no you did not!! I was hobbling along after having just had surgery really not supposed to be on my feet missing my cart! That was wrong on so many levels! Common sense boy common sense. Very good holiday sale on major appliances. Able to find sale priced appliances not available at competitors. Very helpful store staff when making the sale. HOWEVER: take the appliance and install it yourself! There were major delays in delivery and installation by contracted installers. "We lost the address/got the wrong address; your connections are not up to code; can only come next ***-day between 2 and 7 pm; oh, our paperwork says that was already installed; our paperwork says that installation was cancelled" etc., etc. So, take the major appliance when on sale, take the '6 months no interest', and take the appliance and run. read more

I had a bad experience with a cashier named Sarah at the nursery at Lowe's Bee Cave today, 6/24. I checked out 4 bags of potting soil at the sale price of $10. She rang up the regular price. I told her they were on sale 4 for $10. She did not believe me, so I went back to take picture of the sign to show to her. She still argued with me that it was wrong, until another employee came to tell her to ring up the sale price. After I paid for the soil and other stuff, I got the receipt. I checked the receipt and found that she rang up something that was not in my basket. So another cashier had to take me to the return register to give me credit for that unknown item. Sarah needs to be retrained in customer service and needs to pay attention to her fingers when she rings up stuff for customers so she does not charge customers for things that they don't buy. I was shopping around for riding lawn mowers on Memorial Day weekend and ran across a John Deere at Lowes for $2600 plus a $300 rebate. The rebate sold me and my plan was to use it to pay on the credit card purchase. I even told the salesperson that was my intention. Today I received the rebate and it is not a rebate at all. It is store credit at Lowes and cannot be used even to apply to the Lowes credit card I placed the purchase on. I called to complain and was told there was nothing they can do about it. Lesson learned.... Lowes is a false advertiser and should end up in court for misleading their valued customers. I doubt I will ever return to use the store credit because I am extremely mad at being lied too. Shame on you, Lowes! read more

Curbside pickup is a joke. Sitting in one of their pickup spots I repeatedly called the displayed phone number only to be passed around by their system over and over. This Lowes is one of the best hardware stores in the Austin area. I think they only hire people with an extremely large amount of expertise in their area of focus. Jim in millworks helped me select windows and gave me his years of experience running rental properties and showed me pictures of his own house on his phone and the windows he did in his own house. He kept me from buying something I didn't need to spend money on and put up with my sarcasm the entire time. I've also had tons of help in figuring out projects, tools and anything else I need with their staff. They also have a cool kids building activity a couple times a month. If I could give zero stars, I would. I am not usually one to write bad reviews, but this is the worst experience I've ever had with a business! Zero customer service and apparently zero accountability for anyone that we've worked with. The first disaster happened when we ordered a new disposal to be installed. We set up the install weeks in advance and received several reminders for the appointment that was scheduled between 12-1:30. After 2:30, I called Lowe's to find out where the installer was and was told they weren't sure, but would reach out to him and let me know. Another hour went by and we still had not heard from Lowe's, so I called back again. They then told me the installer hurt his back and had called that morning to cancel our appointment, but no one bothered to call to let us know. We had been waiting since noon without as much as a courtesy call/text/email from anyone. So they canceled our appointment and told us to call back when we were ready to reschedule. Then, at 4:30, I received a call from the installer saying there was a mix up in his system, and that his time slot for us was 5-6:30. He said he never called Lowe's and told them he hurt his back, and he could still come if we wanted him to. So after waiting all day, the installer finally arrived at 7 Pm. Unfortunately, after all of that, it was a more complicated installation and the installer did not not have the parts needed to put in the disposal. On top of that, in the same week, we were supposed to have five windows installed that we ordered at the beginning of October. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks from purchase to get the windows in. I reached out to Lowe's multiple times over the weeks asking for confirmations, ETA dates, updates... nothing. You'd think after spending that amount of money you'd get some sort of confirmation or communications to follow along with and it wouldn't be like pulling teeth just to find out when to expect your window delivery. After the six week window ended, I FINALLY got an update.. not to expect the windows until December 31st!! How does a 4-6 wk window change to over 11 weeks without a simple email or phone call? Ridiculous. On top of this, I was told they talked to my husband in October and he was aware of ETA.. all lies! They did not even have my husbands phone number on file and were just flat out lying. So disappointed and frustrated by this entire experience with this company. I expected much more from Lowe's and their customer service. This review is of Lowe's installation services in Austin. Lowe's contractors did interior finish work on my house, including flooring, tile and paint. The contractors left all of the excess material, hundreds of pounds of tile boxes and floor planks, on a rickety old shelf above my garage - without my instruction. I never used any of the left over material, or used the shelf for any purpose, so it sat untouched for several months. Then last Saturday, a few minutes before guests arrived for dinner, the shelf collapsed, spilling dozens of paint cans, shattering tiles, destroying my golf clubs, and a number of other items in the garage. It very nearly killed me. Had I been standing ten feet closer to the shelf, I would definitely be dead. My wife walks by that shelf every day to access our laundry. It was teetering on the edge of collapse for months before it finally gave way. When I called Lowe's to let them know, the sales manager Matt refused to take any responsibility and then hung up on me without even giving me a chance to discuss it. The photos tell the story. I don't even know where to start. DO NOT USE THEIR INSTALLATION SERVICES, people don't show up for appointments. When they do show up there are "extra fees" involved when they arrive. Then you let the store know about problems they don't care, they wanted to send the same vendor back to fix something that was done improperly, this is the same gutter company they missed their appointment, no call nothing. They said they couldn't use another gutter company because they have a contract. Well that is fine and dandy, but you only have one company you work with? I don't want those people on my property since they can't make commitments or do things right. I said I will call another company to do the work and send you the bill. I just stopped by to purchase nut and fruit trees but every tree they have says it's non-hardy in zone 1 thru 8. Austin is zone 8B, that's no good. When I asked about this I was told that corporate took over the ordering. I would advise against purchasing fruit or nut trees there or you'll be disappointed come winter. If I was rating only their choice of trees alone I would've rated it a one but I felt that would be unfair. Just to let you know if the trees that you plant from this Lowe's die they have a one-year money back guarantee but maybe they're counting on you not bringing them back when they surely die. I'm furious with the customer service at this Lowe's especially by the management. My husband and I spent about $3,000 on a front door that has still not been installed after almost 2 months. We ordered the door and were told it would be installed on Jan. 22. I called that day because I hadn't heard anything and they said they would go in the back to check on it. He said that yes it was there and the guy would need to put it in the system. There apparently had been a delay that no one told us about. Then they said they would send to the installer office who would call us within 48 hours to schedule 2 weeks out - waiting longer. Then the installer called us to schedule the appointment for Jan. 31. On that day the installer called to say he had a personal emergency and couldn't make it that day but he would make sure we were rescheduled quickly. Although, I completely understand that emergencies come up, I never heard back from him nor did I get rescheduled. The next day, I call the store to tell them what happened so they said they would call the installer and they would call me. They never called me. I called the Lowe's and asked to talk to a manager and was sent to April who seemed irritated I was even calling. She said all she could do was to call the installer office and have them rescheduled. I asked if there was anything Lowe's could do and she said "no". After I got a little irritated, she said "I"m sorry". Then I said "well it's interesting to me that you only apologized once i got a lil irritated". The management was of no help. I did get a call from an installer and supposedly it's supposed to get installed tomorrow - we shall see. That is terrible customer service especially with the amount of money that was given to them. Do not buy a Samsung front load washer from Lowe's! First of all Samsung has very poor customer service and Lowe's isn't much better. I bought a new washing machine 4/7/16 that was not delivered until the end of April because it was a brand new model and they didn't have it in stock. My washer is now 10 months old and already the computer portion has broken and the repairman said it will not send signals to the machine. It has also torn a Chico's shirt and a pair of pants that can not be repaired. Samsung told the repairman that the RPMs were too high (clothes were washed on permanent press / low speed) and that my clothes were old (they were not). The only speed lower is "no speed". At this time the washer is still under Samsung warranty. They are a nightmare to deal with to say the least so I went up to Lowe's and talked with the Customer Service Manager. I have the extended warranty so she suggested I call them however the problem is that they are outsourced to another company. They said someone has to come out and replace parts 3 times before they will consider letting me return the washer. I called and emailed the repairman who said the drum of the washer has to be replaced to keep my clothes from being torn yet he did not order a new drum. He told me there was nothing else he could do. He is from Pro Tech Plus which Samsung and Lowe's both use. It all comes down to Lowe's wanting Samsung to repair / replace the washer so that they do not have to absorb the costs. You have to make all the calls and try to get the matter escalated. Lowe's will not help you! I must say I talked with a very nice lady in the appliance department who tried to guide me but again it all came down to Lowe's not wanting to lose money. Tried to get Mylowes card by going online. 1. Online could not verify my veterans status and was told to go to local store with my DD-214 along with discharge papers. 2. The Bee Cave Lowes could not update my account to reflect veterans status and told me to call the 800 number for customer service. 3. Automated 800 robot told me to go back to the Bee Caves store. 4. Survived call waiting and talked with a real person at the 800 number. He apologized and said he would get my account updated. 5. After 2 weeks went back to Lowes Bee Cave to see if account updated. BUYER BEWARE I am tired of buying things at this store driving all the way home only to find I have bought a USED item that has been carefully repackaged. Home Depot is much closer but we usually drive the extra miles to Lowes. If you shop at the Lowes in Bee Cave carefully check your box. We bought a dremel tool that even had a security strap around it. Thought it was safe. Got home opened it only to find not only was it repackaged the blades were worn down. I have not had this happen at the Lowes on Brodie or in Buda. The management at this Lowes is exceptionally inept. Avoid this store at Bee Caves they will rip you off! read more

Me and my husband were at Lowe's looking to buy a washer. Norman was busy and he would get to us soon...he wasn't on the phone and there were no customers...just on the computer. Which I can understand that sometimes you just got to get to a stopping point. It was at least 10 minutes or more. But another lady had walked up to us and help us a little. We went over to the computer with her so that she could look up a model number. Norman came over and started talking to my husband. My husband was literally in mid sentence when a couple/customers walked up and Norman turned his back to my husband and started talking to them like these people were his long lost friends. Me and my husband looked at each other and I said well that was rude. My husband laughs it off. Me not so much. We turned our attention to the lady that was helping us and she disappeared. Well then.
