Be aware - Zero Refund policy. I purchased a Craftsman leaf blower in Galveston and got home to Austin from our vacation only to experience a defective battery that wouldn't recharge. I brought it back to Ace to get a refund and they won't refund $139.64. I explained that I already purchased a new one but that didn't matter. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they don't and wouldn't refund a brand like Craftsman. Horrible customer service in my opinion. read more

Located in a plaza with various other businesses, ACE hardware as that small town feel with Vicki manning the cash register and front door for greeting and offering help as soon as you walk in. We've always been able to find what we need there with decent pricing and a good selection for almost anything you may need for your home. From decor to small repairs ACE hardware has it! They really came to our rescue when we needed solar eclipse glasses when everyone in the area was sold out! Love this place and will be back! read more

I drove to this Ace Hardware store from Pflugerville, TX. I honestly wish we had one in Pflugerville. However, needless to say we don't. LoL This store is very spacious and laid out well. It's not as big as some of the ones I have been to. But again the shopping aisles are decent size and their barbecue area is on point. My biggest reason for coming to Ace Hardware stores was my experience at an Ace Hardware store from my home town in Fort Worth, TX while visiting with my father for his birthday. They carry all the B&B products for my grill needs. That is my biggest reason why I shop here now and I believe this will be my Ace Hardware store I will be shopping at since the layout is perfect. But not only is the layout perfect, the staff and management are so friendly. I had a question about the B&B hickory wood 1.25 cubic foot bags. They had the post oak 1.25 cubic bags in stock but I noticed not the hickory. The manager assisted me and told me he could get them in stock upon request. Also told me in the future to order before Sunday if I wanted it the next week. Overall I was satisfied and very happy with my experience here. I am looking forward to shopping here again. read more

I live in a neighborhood near this location. I've shopped here a handful of times to avoid the larger stores out of the way. There's a no large bag "backpack" policy and I walked in with a purse, small, that can be carried as a backpack sure. The woman at the front asked me to place it in a cabinet in the front of the store... which I've witnessed be unsupervised as this is a slower store and the clerks move around. I declined and told her I would not be comfortable leaving my bag alone by the door. Another woman with a much larger bag carried on her arm shopped freely by my observation. She asked for permission so I could continue to shop. I told her, I'm walking to the spraypaint, you can watch me as I grab it and check out if you want. I went strait to the spray paint, the woman called at me as I was walking back up still asking me what I needed help with. At this point, I feel stereotyped. I felt that I walked in, she watched me much closer than others already in the store and maybe she's trying to be an overachiever but it didn't feel like customer service. I felt as though she was uncomfortable with me being present and started to use the classic tactics on over-greeting a suspicious person. I walked in jean shorts a tshirt and a bun. Looked casual but still as put together as anyone else in the place but I guess not of the demographic that made it comfortable for me to do my shopping in peace. read more

1st, I love this place. A tad bit pricier than the big box stores but that's to be expected for the convenience. Speaking of convenience. These guys were almost useful when they stayed open till 7 but now they close at 6. Pretty much impossible for the average working man/woman to make it in time after work for projects or fix-its. I don't know anyone, myself included, that gets everything thing they on the first trip. Well guess what. Closed! Got hope you make in time the next day after work. Nope! Off to Home Depot or Lowes! You guys would really serve the neighborhoods you set up shop in better if you had more convenient hours. read more
