While asking questions about the product, it was discovered that the box for the item I wanted was not onto the shelf. The person assisting me answers some of my questions, however, they didn't have the answers for some of the most important ones and needed the box to provide that information. While the box was being located, I continued to shop. I didn't receive an update within a few minutes and saw how the workers were talking amongst themselves and looking a little goofy, I asked, "Did you find the box?!" They had not found it so I asked about the store hours and told them I'd be back tomorrow (which it today) to pick up my items. Well, I am here in the store now. I don't see any familiar faces and a sweet lady named Julia asked me is I needed assistance. I told her what I wanted and watched in the background as a conversation began between two employees who obviously knew what was going on with my particular situation. When Julia asked about the box, they had lost it and couldn't sell me what I needed, so now I'm dead in the water! Do better Ace Hardware!!

Sure wish the people were friendlier and cared more about helping the customer. Oh well that's kind of the way the world is these days! This return didn't work in my favor, turns out the customer is not as important as that extra dollar even if you are the one inconvenienced. A young man put me on hold for 30 minutes and never came back to let me know if he had anything that would fit what I was looking for. He just never came back. Let me repeat: HE NEVER CAME BACK. I called back after 30 minutes and the lady who answered put me on hold, but came back within a few minutes to say: "He said that nothing we have fits." Why he left me hanging for 30 minutes was unacceptable.

The selection is about the same as Homedepot or Lowes just instead of having 100 boxes of something they have 2 or 3 on the self (I think this makes it easier to find and compare what you need then having a 20ft tall rack to sort through). The prices are about the same on most items. Actually on the screws and fasteners I find Keith to be a little less on the higher quality stuff. I have gotten to the point that I buy all my hardware at Keith's before I go to get building material some place else. Again this is due to the better quality of the hardware at a more affordable price. As far as covenant. I was torn between the different models. I knew I wanted a Traeger but which one? The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I spent about an hour in the store looking at the pellet grills, asking question after question. Never once did I feel like I was bothering them. In 2025 they sent a letter to Bastrop County saying I had not renewed my contract which resulted in receiving a letter from Bastrop County saying that my failure to comply is a Class C Misdemeanor. They claimed to have sent me a contract application, which they did not. When I tried to resolve this with Lee County Ace Hardware they were extremely nasty and dishonest people. Do not do business with this company.
