Just ordered from Lonestar Nursery for the first time although I have been on their website many times... I have a bad habit of loading up my cart with plants I want, getting distracted, then coming back later to find they are sold out. Now I understand why! Delivery was within a few days, my plants are fantastic and their customer service is so friendly and helpful! If you see a plant you want, dont hesitate because the competition is real and these are great folks! Thank you, Lonestar Nursery! read more

I ordered online using a gift card I received 4 years ago. I made some mistakes on my order and payment, so I emailed for assistance and received immediate, polite help. The plants were delivered within a couple of days, to my doorstep, and they were beautiful! The plants and service exceeded my expectations. Customer service is highly responsive and the plants themselves were clearly grown with love. I think the prices are very fair, and delivery to my area was just $10. I got a lot more bang for my buck at Lonestar Nursery than when I used a gift card to buy plants from Burpees. Lonestar's plants are much larger, healthier and better. They hand-delivered them instead of shipping them through the mail. I am thrilled with my purchase and look forward to getting more plants soon. read more

I have been ordering from them since the pandemic, and they are fantastic! Their plants are very healthy, and they advertise plants that I hadn't heard of before. Also, the staff are really nice people. If you want a great selection of healthy plants, along with gardening supplies, order from Lone Star Nursery! read more

I am not one who typically leaves bad reviews however, I am over it at this point. After no response from multiple emails, two deliveries with aphids on the plants...done. I get that not everyone has had bad experience, in fact it was my mom who referred me to them. She's never had a bad experience. Unfortunately i am not able to say the same. Today's delivery was about $100 worth of plants. From $8 milkweed to $18 passion flower. Oversold and under delivered. I feel like I got the "Wish" version instead. Would you pay $8 for something much smaller than its name tag? Not likely. Looks like I need to stick to Snoopers. They don't deliver but I prefer quality so there's that. read more

Lone Star Nursery - Perennial Jacob Cline Bee Balm planted in 2022 & still thriving in 2023 - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Manor, Texas

I'm obsessed with Lone Star Nursery. Truly it doesn't get better than them, and I think I'm probably going to develop a bad habit (if I haven't already). I find them to be affordable, their plants always arrive in great condition, I have experience with their plants growing beautifully, and they deliver free to your door if you order $40 worth or plants or more (within 45 miles of Manor, Texas). They deliver within a week if not earlier, text you when they are on their way and try to place your plants in an ideal location. They also text you after they've successfully dropped off. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this nursery. You won't be disappointment. Just in case you are curious about their practices: I once asked over email if they grow organically and received this reply: "We are a grower and do not outsource plants. We do not use any unnatural pesticides, or soil amendments. Though we used to be "certified organic" we did away with the certification implement, and continue to grow 100% organically. From veggies to annual flowers, plus trees and shrubs, the only applications we use are manual (hand pick) pest management, soapy water and neem oil. Nothing more. All seed sources are organic, if not sourced from the wild. I have a weird work schedule and can't usually get to plant shops when they're open. LoneStar enables me to have my garden anyway, and I love them for it. I love knowing that everything they sell was actually grown very locally. All the plants I've gotten have been super healthy and the one time a sunflower got bumped around, they were open and upfront about it and tbh i think they were more than kind about it, considering it bloomed anyway! Anyway, they're great. PS bonus points for enabling me to shop for my plants in the middle of the night! read more

I was really excited to receive a Hoya Mathilde splash from lone star nursery. It is a dream plant for me. I think the plant is beautiful, but it came unfortunately infested with yellow aphids. While the plant is beautiful, I give this two stars because it was $98 dollars and, because aphids can fly, there is a potential that my other plants could be affected. read more

I have ordered a few times from Lone Star Nursery and they are OUTSTANDING! Their delivery service makes it so easy for me to add quality plants to my vegetable garden and I really appreciate their social media feeds for helpful information and seasonal promotions. I turned to gardening at the start of the pandemic to try and provide reliable, healthy food for my family and every single plant I've added from Lone Star has thrived and fed us well. We lost power during this polar vortex storm and while the food in the fridge spoiled we were pulling Lone Star collard greens we planted back in November from the snow and they were still delicious! Excellent product, excellent prices, excellent people. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I can not say enough about this nursery. They have a great selection that is constantly changing and they deliver to your house at no extra fee! Austin nurseries tend to be incredibly expensive and rude. Dealing with these guys is a totally different experience. Please check them out and support a great small business! read more

Two stars. Great selection of plants and friendly folks--but I went to their pop up plant sale. It was the day after a freeze and it was too, too, clear that they hadn't sheltered their succulents overnight. The string of hearts had mushy leaves and visible damage, and I should have said something to the many folks who were buying them. The pagoda plant that I shouldn't have bought started losing leaves in three days! That was too soon for me to have overwatered--in fact, I was checking the soil for dryness when an entire stem fell off. I'm nursing it along now. I know plants are not guaranteed but since I've had succulents for 40 years and rarely lose any of my plants--tropicals, vegetables, herbs, cactuses and succulents--I think it's on Lone Star. read more

I ordered 5 native plants from them that I haven't been able to find at any other local nursery in 2 years. It was so much easier than fighting the crowds at all the other nurseries and struggling to locate the plants I was looking for. The arrived in 5 days and they were gorgeous. So lush and large and well cared for. I really could not be more impressed with my experience so far with Lone Star Nursery. read more

Great nursery! First, great prices - you can go crazy buying all sorts of plants, and not be po' after that. Also, you can ask them a million questions, and they still won't look at you weirdly. And most importantly, Lone Star Nursery sells the best soil ever. My plants are always so lush in their soil, as opposed to other soil sold elsewhere. How do I add pictures here to show the world the magnificence of Lone Star Nursery's soil? read more

Lone Star Nursery - Lone Star Nursery Magic Soil is of superior quality! Best ever! - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Manor, Texas

They didn't have what I needed, but the lady who answered the phone was able to direct me to a different nursery that did. When I called my neighborhood nursery, Sledd, the lady who answered the phone said "I don't know what anybody else has" when I asked for a recommendation. That maybe true, but there was no reason to be rude about it. I'll definitely be making the trip here instead of going to the one that is literally across the street from my house, because the customer service is so much better. read more

I have been purchasing plants from Flint & Jay @ Lonestar Nursery for years. My garden is amazing every season thanks to their starters. Last year we had tomatoes growing for 4+ month. Jay is incredibly knowledgable in organic gardening and is a great resource for my family. His medicinal plants are rare, beautiful and are hand picked to grow well in our central Texas environment. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful nursery. You can find their plants at Wheatsville, Natural Gardener and various other organic hubs. Check out their FB page & website to see where they are selling directly to the public. read more

I love this nursery. They have a great selection of plants, trees, vegetables and herbs. (They make herbal mosquito replant spray too!) They are very knowledgeable about their product, what/how to grow, when to grow. My Aloe and Oregano plants are still thriving, even in this crazy Texas heat. I would recommend you visit them regardless of where you are located, definitely worth the drive to Cedar Park or Mueller farmers markets. read more

Love these guys. They're always very patient with my beginner gardening questions. 5 stars!!
