I needed to get a dead tree replaced in my yard. I utilized the quote feature on yelp. Hope Valley Tree Farm was very quick to respond even though I sent prior to them opening. Other vendors were not able to identify the tree by picture but Allison knew immediately. I sent her a picture of the dead tree and its twin that was still alive. She was able to estimate size by the photo and provide quotes. Allison even walked out and texted me photos of what she had in stock in the size I wanted. We are so happy we travelled to Bastrop to Hope Valley Tree Farm. We picked out two beautiful crepe myrtles for our yards and absolutely love them. I needed some compact cherry laurels to provide a privacy screen at my house, and so I had originally looked around at a nursery closer to my house. But when I saw the prices and selection at Hope Valley, I was really glad I had found them! Their prices are much more affordable because they grow their own trees, and they are going to deliver them to my house in Austin. I had a great experience going out to the farm and hand selecting the trees I wanted--it's a beautiful place out there! Hope Valley Tree Farm has some of the best prices and options available to residential retail clients that I have been able to find in this area. Andi and Adrian were extremely helpful with helping us through the process of picking out trees and we were able to make a day trip out and choose the ones we wanted in person. The farm is simply beautiful, with a large selection of lovely trees of all different types and sizes that do well in this area. I even added a couple more to our order after leaving because I was so happy with their selection; and Adrian helped me choose them from photos. I recently did a lot of research on native and adapted tree species for Central Texas. I also learned that fall is the best planting season. The cooler temperatures allow roots to begin to establish before the first freeze arrives. It also prevents stress that your trees would experience if planted in August. Lastly, less evaporation means your regular soaking sessions need less water to keep the trees hydrated. I identified a couple of species which were ideal fits for my needs and began my search. Hope Valley Tree Farm was one of the few local businesses which carried all of them. Even better, they offered sizes ranging from 15 gallon all the way up to 90 gallon. I have a pickup and decided to head out to Bastrop to get them on a Saturday morning. I spoke with the owner, Steve, earlier in the week to confirm timing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two of his employees. One of them walked us around to the species on my list. He helped pick ones which looked the healthiest and quickly loaded onto the tractor. He helped us load them into the truck and we were on our way. Their prices are very competitive and selection is great. The trees look wonderful in the yard. I really liked the idea of going to pick out my own. I am confident that I will be back to purchase more trees in the not to distant future. I highly recommend Hope Valley Tree Farm. read more

After moving into our newly built house it was time to add some trees. I spent a solid week visiting all of the top rated nurseries in the Austin area looking for the healthies specimens at a reasonable cost. A coworker had recommended I drive out to Bastrop to check out Hope Valley Tree Farm as this is where they purchased there's after a lot of research and visiting nurseries as well.. It has been my experience that it does not get any better this. There tress and all other plants are exceptionally healthy, this comes from the space they have to let the plants breath. You are able to see each tree individually not all crowded together like most of the other nurseries I visited. All the sections are organized by row after row of species. Next is the cost, prices are extremely fair as I found other places charging twice as much for trees not nearly as healthy or robust as Hope Valleys selection. And finally there delivery,planting services, and cost were right in line with the rest of there fair pricing. We went here to pick up a Crape Myrtle tree and ended up leaving with seven. They had all kinds of different sizes and varieties. The prices are wonderful, but the people are fantastic. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable and patient- he took time to walk us through the process, and we learned a lot. The farm itself is beautiful with birds and flowers all around. You can tell that this is a family run business built on values and trust. We can't recommend it enough. We've been looking for trees for a few months and have checked out all of the local nurseries/tree farms in Austin. General reaction was sticker shock and somewhat high pressure sales. Found Hope Valley Tree Farm online and we went down to Bastrop on Monday to check it out. We were impressed. Extremely straightforward and very reasonable pricing for both trees and installation. No pressure. Selection is probably less varied than some other places, but they have great selection of the varieties they have, and the variety is definitely broad enough to meet your needs. We got a combination of hollies, cherry laurels and a red bud. Installation scheduled for Friday the same week as purchase. Absolutely worth the drive! read more

We recently purchased a home on a one acre lot which had few landscaping improvements, basically a blank slate. Thus far, my wife and I have planted over 80 perennials, shrubs and trees. We were in the market for more crapemyrtle trees. I had recently purchased crapes in 3 and 15 gallon sizes from several nurseries in and around Cedar Park and Leander. I stumbled upon a Craigslist ad placed by the Hope Valley Tree Farm and the prices were far less than I had been paying. It was a nice day so we drove to Bastrop, not knowing what to expect from Hope Valley Tree Farm. When we arrived we were instantly impressed with the huge inventory of trees and even more taken by the quality of the individual plants. We ended up purchasing 3 15-gallon dynamites at a FIFTY PERCENT SAVINGS OFF SIMILAR TREES I PURCHASED THE WEEK BEFORE FROM ANOTHER "WHOLESALE" NURSERY and 5 3-gallon twilight's, also at a 50% savings from another source. All together we saved well over $200 on the plants. The staff are warm and friendly and we received outstanding service. We plan to go back soon for more trees. Steve delivered me 10 15 gal. Wax Myrtle. Trees were in very good shape and seems very healthy. It was a very quick service. Steve delivered me these trees within 20 Hours of my ordering it. And prices: nobody could beat his prices, I got these wax myrtles for 45 each which is al teast 50% cheaper than any other farm in this area. read more

After my go to nursery closed in Austin, I was at a loss to find a place that had decent trees. The trees at most places near Austin look sick and are way over priced. I took a leap faith and called Hope Valley Farms and talked to Andi. First off, it was nice to talk to a person who took the time to answer all my questions. Second, I was absolutely shocked at the prices. Seriously, at my go to place in Austin I paid $850 for an 8 foot compact cherry laurel plus $425 to have it planted. At hope valley, I just paid $170 for a 6 foot compact cherry laurel and $130 for the planting fee. It was so cheap I bought 16 of them. The tree quality was far and away the best I have ever seen. Everything looked like it was thriving. Take into account I went at the end of December. It was only about 31 miles from Hutto and believe me it was well worth the drive. I will be recommending them from now on. read more
