Though prices are higher than at HEB or a big box, I continue there for the advice & availability of things like compost and rooting stimulant, and find the crew under Mark's daughter to continue the good advice; and the somewhat higher price but greater variety and knowledge plus my pricing for customers of 1/2 the retail price of their plants bought there make it work out very well for me; and I've just bought my second Sweet Bay for MY OWN yard, recently, when the first, which made great chicken soup, froze during one of the frequent "SnowVid '21," SnowPocalypse '23," deep-freeze events... Quite honestly, we were in and out a number of shops pretty quickly that had a lot of stuff. I am very overwhelmed when there are too many choices. Escape has gifts and home decor items that are handmade from throughout the United States, representing 300+ artisans. Some of the items include light fixtures, baskets, cutting boards, jewelry, blown glass items, pottery, mixed media wall art, outdoor metal art and chimes. Escape had some very striking pieces and purchases appear to be unique, one-of-a-kind ones. Net, net, they have a lot of cool stuff, and I am convinced if you are looking for a gift, you could find it there. I made a small, low cost purchase as I did not want to lug a lot things around the square. Way cool store...look forward to visiting again.
