I came to the store to get some Easter things. They have a very good display of Easter things, I bought a wreath. Many places throughout the store is an advertisement on 25% off sale including sale items. It's on every shopping cart, on the wall and various places throughout the store. I bought four items. And the checkout line was quick and the sales clerk checked me out promptly. I then looked at my receipt and I did not see anything on sale. I said "is this 25% off? " And the sales associate said, "do you have the coupon?". He then told me to step aside so he could wait on the next person and then he would return everything I had and I would have to obtain the coupon online and then he would re-ring me up. The lady behind me was very gracious and said, "you can finish her up." So I went online for the coupon. He returned my items and rang them up with 25% off. I apologized to the lady behind me and told her "with the advertisement everywhere throughout the store, I didn't know I had to go online and get a coupon", she said "the same with me." I had the shopping cart in front of the sales associate that said 25% off everything including sale items. You'd think the sales associate would've said something instead of just letting me pay 25% more for all my items, and not saying a word If the sale wasn't advertised in so many places throughout the store, and on the shopping cart, I would not feel this way. The lady behind me had to go on and get the coupon, or she was going to have the same experience as me, depended upon if she checked her receipt before she left the store! I find this to be deceptive, implying that everyone's gonna get 25% off, BUT then when they don't go online and get the coupon they don't get 25% off. Not everyone checks their receipt before they leave the store like I did. It's very misleading. read more

We have had great experiences with several framing projects we have taken to Michael's. The service and final results have always been very professional. Recently, we had an issue with a framed photograph from another company and were pleased that Justice was able to assist us with this project. We thought we were running in to purchase prismacolor pencils for school on tax free weekend would be an in and out...man were we wrong. As soon as we entered and employee greeted us and asked if we'd like to make a free art craft. My girls were delighted and I was just happy for a free craft event they provided and told me to go shop. Not only did the employee greet us in such a friendly manner,, he assisted my youngest with completing the art task. He is so positive and patient with all the children. I will be checking out the schedule for other events to come back but thank you for having such enjoyable people work at your stores. read more

2.5 There's nothing wrong with this store per se but I've been to better-stocked locations. Still, though you can't go wrong with the clearance sales. There are some cool things to be found here. However, if you're looking for amazing deals the clearance sections at Hobby Lobby after the holidays are far better. read more

I am mobility limited so store pickup is great! They have put it near the front of the store so going in and out with very limited contact with anyone was great! In fact Myra made sure to take care of my needs...even offering wipes if I needed to keep germs from spreading. Thank you Myra and Michael's for helping mobility challenged!. Update...I appreciate that curbside is continuing after the mandates have been lifted. But Riley's wonderful attitude and assurance after I couldn't get the phone to reflect I was there for curbside pickup was so nice on a hectic hot afternoon. Thanks Riley! This Michael's was very clean. It was busy this past Sunday too and surprisingly everything stayed organized. I came here looking for tape to make straight lines of a dry erase board. Not sure what it was called. I looked on every aisle on one side of the store so I finally asked. The lady was friendly although didn't really point me in the right direction. It's okay, I was confused too but I knew what I was looking for. I love how they have the coupons online and they use it towards the most expensive item. I didn't purchase anything that day but I was with someone who did. Good job on keeping it clean Michael's. Off to office max I went. read more

This is not my usual Michaels but it is still a nice place to visit. The store is big enough to accomodate the variety of products. Those of us who craft return to the same stores often so it would be nice if there were fresh new items from time to time. I've been looking at the very same Big Shot dies for the last two years. All in all, it makes a nice back up location to the one closest to my home. It is also convenient in Wolf Ranch when I have a few other errands to run. read more

I was in Georgetown because I needed to hit all the crafty stores in this G-town. I was looking for a leather paint and could not find it. I asked the frame guy to call someone to help. He took it upon himself to help me find the 4th area where paint might be. He took time to discuss the different brands and we talked a lot about my project and his ideas to help me. I walked out with the 2 bottles (I needed 6) they had in stock and was happy. read more

I like this particular Michael's because the people that work there are so very nice. I get a hello on the way in and a speedy check out at the cashier. For thrifty hunters, there is usually have a bunch of stuff on clearance around the store, typically at the end of various aisles. Their post-seasonal sales are also fantastic! I got all kinds of christmas goodies for 75% off recently. I love the massive selection of beads, bobbles, and hardware. They have every color, finish, and style you could want. A beader like me is in heaven! And there is often some kind of sale going on, so you can score goodies for a fraction of the cost. When I was at the store recently, the cashier rang up my purchase incorrectly. He quickly and calmly fixed the problem and I even got to use my coupon again! Talk about good customer service! It's one of my favorite lunchtime places to kill time and I will definitely keep going back. read more

Very disappointed with Michaels today. Tried to purchase a custom made tabletop Christmas tree today. They had 2 different prices on it. A girl with blue hair told me that BOTH prices were incorrect and she would not honor either! She found me in the store and told me the real price was almost 3 times the lowest marked price. Do not trust this store. Go to Hobby Lobby instead. read more

The majority of people in this store are totally incompetent and do not care about the customer. Why is it when I call with a SKU number, you can't tell me if you have it or not? First, I am told that everything has been put out. Then you say that there is still things left in the back? I can't imagine there is time to train employees due to the turn over being so insanely high. Would rather go to hobby lobby, better prices there anyway! read more

The staff here is horrible. I passed about 10 teenage/ young adult staff and not one greeted me. I had a question and everyone kept telling me to go ask someone else. The selection at this store is pretty bad as well. Will not be going back at all. read more

We have always had great service here, but today we needed the framing center to replace the glass on a print we inherited. Service was exceptional! Great arts & crafts store with just about anything you could need for any craft imaginable. They have frequent sales on great stuff, coupons available by app and mailer, and a great staff to help you get the best deal on your purchases. Michaels has monthly classes to help you hone in on craft skills such as sewing, embroidery, framing, and they even have classes for the kids!! Highly recommended, but don't shop without bringing your coupons!! read more

Wow, someone in business who goes the extra mile to do what's right!!! My wife took some art to the framing department. Not great art, just some reproduction vintage movie posters, but we thought they would look great framed. The pictures were accidentially glued face down to the mat, destroying them. They apologized, immediately went online and reordered them for us. Once they arrived they mounted them perfectly and professionally. The extra miles these people went and the correct and unbelievable way they went about doing us right floored me and my wife. They will get our business in the future.
