I walked in expecting "all eyes on me" but the cashier was stupid nice & not at all interested in my curiosity. A lot of items were reasonably priced, which was surprising to me. Walking into a sustainable or organic anything & I automatically think "unaffordable". Glad this place proved me wrong. Minus the stickers. I did notice a lot of them had "3.50" crossed out, with a "4" next to it. Which is like 'oh, only 50 cent increase. No biggie" but not for a sticker. The selection of zero waste, sustainable products and were aesthetically pleasing to my eye. I was super excited to see the refill bar with various items marked with different prices depending on the ounce or item. Excited to return to make several purchases. I hope this store is around for a long time to come. Oh! They even have a little section for plants & food items. No cash-card only!

This is the cutest general store and everyone is so nice! It's right off of Anderson lane with tons of parking and they have a rotating selection of goods from eco friendly goods as well as a bunch from local vendors. Every trip there is a treat Great selection and value 10/10 should check it out!

I adore this store for spotlighting really awesome local artisans, women owned businesses, and focusing on sustainability. They have a variety of home goods and decor, books, etc. that are so fun to have and gift and everything is just so gorgeous. There's also a refill station to reduce household waste by letting you fill up your own bottles with things like shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. (you can also purchase bottles in store!). I also giggle because they do sell a few plants that have all been given names like pets. :) The owners are often in the store and are super fun people to chat with and I'm so excited that they've gotten to start up their dream store. Bonus points in that they also have a Ridwell box that they let customers use to recycle small electronic things like batteries! They even provide a small discount if you drop off!!! Currently, you can also donate gently used sneakers to the Sneaker Impact initiative. Logistics: There's a small lot and a small strip center nearby, so parking is super easy with no parallel parking shenanigans needed. It's also right next to a Shipleys if you need your sugary snacks or kolache fix!

Stopped by Parker Scott to pick up my Bésame order and didn't know I'd be walking into such a cute store! The staff was so friendly and they have such a unique collection of things inside, a good amount of which were women-owned so that was nice to see. They even have a section where you can refill detergent and dish soap which was really cool to see.

However, this time was a lot different and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friend's birthday as well as fun items for myself. It seems like the selection has remained the same although Atown is keeping up with current and modern trends. For example, there were a lot of ICE based items tucked away as well as current celebrity crushes who are on everybody's minds. The coolest thing I found was a James Talarico candle but other than that, a lot of the items that were for sale were pretty kitschy and I believe they are the same wholesale items I have seen before. I must shoutout the incredibly helpful service from Audrey who went above and beyond to help me find items for my friend's birthday. She was super sweet, and I would've been wandering around the store aimlessly if it wasn't for her direction. Additionally, she even came up with combination gift ideas which was pretty sick. Atown is lucky to have her! I think my PTSD is no longer because of her assistance. Great store, unfortunately high prices. However, no one does it like Atown!

There are 3 or 4 separate areas you can visit and they have things from locally made earrings and art to coasters, desk plates, rubber ducks of famous people, religious candles with random famous people, funny socks, clothes, and so much more. The staff is friendly and outgoing, they even had a woman at the door greeting you and offering you a hand basket if you wanted or needed one. There were 3 or 4 cashiers and at least one lady walking around greeting you and seeing if they could help. It is pricier then your chain store but the products are cooler, unique, and many times locally made. Things you can't get at other stores or amazon. Like so many places, it's one downside is parking. It is a small lot, if you part in front you basically have to back in to spot blocking traffic or back out into traffic. There is a small side lot that is better but you basically have to 3 point turn out of that spot. Always willing to pay a bit more to support local. We don't get out of our area/comfort zone much but we do love this place. #Supportlocal

Every piece in the store appears to be intentionally curated. Maaribu melds a home and gift shop with an in house café and bakery, creating an experience that's both relaxing and memorable. According to Mable, my server, Maaribu is a combination of the word Marfa (Texas town that has the Prada store) and Malibu. The brand is often described as combining Marfa's creative spirit, Malibu's laid back lifestyle, and clean Scandinavian design. The shop portion of Maaribu is beautifully styled, featuring furniture, décor, books, and gifts that have a modern flare. All the items are easy to peruse and get drawn in. The use of color is playful and engaging. Maaribu's key highlight is its café and bakery. The in house café has an assortment of coffee, wellness beverages, and dedicated gluten free baked goods. I bought a Rose honey latte, which was divine along with a multi-layer pastry. Mable said customers enjoy the quality and flavor of the pastries...scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites are frequent favorites. Importantly, the café is reported to be fully gluten free, which makes it a standout destination for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, without sacrificing taste or variety. The outdoor seating and patio area add to the charm, making Maaribu a great place to enjoy coffee and pastries on a nice Austin morning. After years in Austin, I finally discovered Maaribu--a modern, eclectic coffee shop and store. Every item is thoughtfully curated, blending a home-and-gift shop with a café and bakery for a relaxing experience. The name combines Marfa's creative vibe, Malibu's laid-back style, and Scandinavian design. The shop offers stylish furniture, décor, books, and gifts, all easy to browse and visually engaging. Maaribu's café is fully gluten-free, featuring quality pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites, as well as wellness drinks and coffee. Outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to enjoy coffee and pastries on a pleasant Austin morning. Wow...Maaribu!!!
