Souvenirs galore! This souvenir store has a WIDE variety of trinkets to purchase. The employees were very nice and it was surprisingly relaxing to peruse the aisles. They have cheap gifts as well as some more expensive ones. I spent about an hour here and could've spent longer. I ended up purchasing some shot glasses, a coffee mug, and the pictured matches. My purchase came about to about $30

    Red Sox bracelet.

Another wonderful shopping experience here. Like I said in my previous review, you really do have to take your time here. So many items, displayed. Great local artist and craftsmanship. I was in search for birthday gifts this time. And found perfect items to show off Austin, Texas. And also found a few gems for myself. Great place to shop for all things Austin and support local artist as well.

This is the type of gift store I look for anytime I travel and am thrilled it's in my hometown! It's got unique souvenirs and wickedly funny gifts for any occasion. Each aisle has an array of items from local artists. Think of it as a brick and mortar Etsy. I try not to visit often as I'm *trying* to be a minimalist but the force is too strong in this store. Funny thermos? Add to cart! Alien earrings? Add to cart! Buyer beware. You'll find things that you never knew you needed! Pro tip: If you're visiting Austin, grab your souvenirs here and head down the street on Lamar for a meal at Kerbey Lane or Torchy's Taco.

Austin Gift Company is SO fun. I could probably spend everyday in here if I could. The store is filled with tons of "stalls" that sell goods made by local Austin folks. There is anything you could ever want in the store from jewelry, to stickers, to t-shirts, to candy, to toys , to bags, to plastic egg cartons with funny sayings, to everything else you could ever imagine. This place would be great for gifts for family or friends, souvenirs for those visiting Austin, or anything in-between. I definitely recommend that everybody checks out this place!! It is amazing.

Omg, how freaking fun is this place!!! I could've spent hours on end looking at everything in here! Not to mention the fact that everyone was so incredibly friendly. I can't wait to bring friends in here. Everything was priced just as I expected and I walked away spending a good chunk (for fun gifts) for a Friendsgiving party we have this weekend!

I was recommended by a friend to come check this store out. Wow!!! If you are looking for a different gift for your someone this is by far the most unique gift place chalk full of everything you can think of and things you didn't. The prices are truly varied depending on the gifts. However you can easily find something here. From the serious person, or artsy, to the wild and silly. I'm not joking when I say they have a little of everything! Word of caution, be prepared to spend at least an hour if you want to even get a glimpse of everything they have to offer. The other plus is for folks like me (not from Austin), it's in a good location, easy to find and get to. I'll be back next time I'm stuck for gifts.

This place is a must for local Austin gifts. Some of the items are not local, but have the local vibe. Others are straight from the artists and are super reasonably priced. Bought a basket full of gifts and will keep this on my go to list for local shopping. Great thing is that it is out of the city and you don't need to pay for parking. Everything under one roof. Spent a good two hours going through the entire store.

Even longhorns need to worry about masking up, apparently.

According to Vocabulary.com, the term 'kitsch' means: Art that's garish, nostalgic. Some people who love the aesthetics of souvenir culture think kitsch is really cool, while others disagree. Well, this place is kitschy as all get-out, but count me in as one of the people who love the 'aesthetics of souvenir culture'. See, there's a generic souvenir, and then there's a cool one. Austin Gift Company mostly has the latter, as it specializes in 'Texarcana'. It's a great spot to purchase Austin-themed merchandise, especially the custom-made signs. The other part of the store I like is the half that's all local vendors. It's kind of like a small, Texas-centric version of Etsy. Definitely worth your time to stop by if you need a gift that says 'Austin'.

After standing in line to do the exchange, locating the shade and standing in line again to check out, I wasn't able to use the gift card without a manager keying it in. This seems rather archaic but... whatever. So we paged the manager, waited some more, she keyed it in and it showed $0. The cashier said "that's not possible, I did the exchange myself just a few mins ago?" The manager then proceeds to say it takes 5 mins for funds to load. I point out on the receipt that it was 18 mins ago (lots of waiting in line) and now it "takes 30 mins for gift cards to load". I couldn't stand around another 12 mins hoping it would load as I had already left my family waiting in the car for an eternity. So now I have to go back and do this whole thing again just bc their system is flawed. It's a ridiculous waste of time

We picked out a pre lit Christmas tree, two containers of shatter proof ornaments, and a star for our tree. When going through the checkout there were several people working. We waited for the next available cashier. It was a really short wait probably less than five minutes. The cashier was friendly. We paid and we're on our way. We set up our Christmas tree after our Thanksgiving Dinner. My husband removed the tree from the box piece by piece. He spread out the tree limbs so that it would look more full. Once all of the ornaments and the star were put on the tree it looked really good. I recommend going there to check out the holiday decorations as there is a wide variety of items to choose from.

It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. In regards to art, the prices seemed to be on the higher end although there is quite a bit of variety (a few hundred here, a few thousand there). I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price. However, this place is just fun to browse. It's like a museum of ugly and interesting objects. If you're looking for a unique date idea, you've found it. Parents -- I wore my baby in a carrier and we had my toddler in a small umbrella stroller. Worked out fine. There's enough room to navigate without little hands grabbing super expensive objects (just keep a close eye, obviously). After our visit, I read some of the older negative reviews (10 years ago) where folks with strollers were kicked out and not allowed in. I guess they realized how much that policy can hurt them.
