Came on a Sunday morning and there was a 20-30 minute wait. It was super busy, and there were some people waiting outside for their orders or to be seated. We ordered the sittin' poolside juice, iced matcha latte, avo toast, and salmon aguachile. The sittin' poolside was good, the iced matcha latte was pretty milky and not really worth it. The avo toast was good and the salmon aguachile was good, but had way too much green onion. Overall was pretty good and a nice place for brunch, but not a top place in my mind.
delicious australian brunch spot! my favorites are the ricotta hot cakes and pork belly hash.
They make a mean pour over. And also their breakfast sandwich... one of the top ones I've had in Austin. I love the vibe, service, and quality of food. It always puts me in a good mood coming here.
Snuck in for a lunch today with my kids around 1130. Parking is a bit hard to come by and you most likely have to pay I was glad to get a table as it looked so busy The place is very bright and fun ... the music though for me was a little too loud Wait and food service were prompt. Everything was delicious except for the savory oatmeal. Still good but a little bland. Needed salt or soy sauce. The ricotta pancakes were so good. Would love to be back
We really enjoyed the coffee at this place. The atmosphere is great, and it's clearly very popular, we came for breakfast and it was quite busy. Despite that, the service was fast and well organized. The food was excellent: all the dishes we tried were fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared. Everything came out quickly, which was especially impressive given how many people were there. The interior deserves a separate mention. It's bright and welcoming, with large panoramic windows that let in a lot of natural light and make the space feel open and comfortable. Overall, it was a very pleasant breakfast experience, good coffee, delicious food, efficient service, and a relaxed, lively atmosphere that makes you want to come back.
Ok, we were super impressed. The vibe and decor is beautiful, coffees were great, food was AMAZiNG. Everyone who helped us was super helpful and sweet. The music is very loud, so if you're sensitive bring Loops or something. One of my fave breakfast spots in Austin now!
We've been coming to Proud Mary pretty regularly, about every couple of weeks, and it's settled into that reliable rotation of places that just work for a morning out. The space is a big part of the draw. It's clean, modern, and very intentionally designed without feeling overdone. There's a mix of seating that makes it flexible depending on what you need that day. Coffee bar seating if you're solo, standard tables inside, and outdoor seating if the weather cooperates. It's just a nice place to exist for a while, whether you're meeting someone or quietly easing into the day. We usually go in the morning and have never had to wait for a table, which feels somewhat rare for Austin these days. There's a steady flow of people, including plenty of families, but it doesn't feel like a "kid place." More like a place that can accommodate kids if you're willing to make it work. There's a small box of toys, and we usually piece together sides for our kid, which has been easy enough. Strollers are doable but not effortless. Food-wise, the menu is interesting without being inaccessible. I tend to keep it simple and it's been consistently solid. The scrambled eggs are reliably good, and I'll usually build a plate with sides like bacon and toast with their seasonal house-made jams. It's good enough to keep me coming back. The standout, for me atleast, is the savory oatmeal. It's not for everyone, but it's easily the most memorable dish on the menu for me. Very savory and flavorful, and substantial in a way that most breakfast dishes aren't. If you're open to something slightly different, it's worth trying at least once. Coffee is clearly a focus here. They offer a lot of more artisanal options, which seem to be a big draw. I usually stick with drip, which is good and consistent. Service has been friendly across visits, but when it gets busy, things can slip a bit. Orders can take longer or small details get missed. Nothing that feels out of the ordinary for a popular brunch spot, but it's noticeable during peak times. A few small usability notes. Parking is easier than it first appears. The main lot fills up quickly, but there's a garage behind the building that's inexpensive and reliable. You can get an hour of parking comped by the restaurant with a QR. Inside, there's also a window of time in the morning where the sun comes in aggressively enough that I've had to wear sunglasses at the table. Not a dealbreaker, but very real. One thing I do miss is a previous yogurt bowl with pandan that used to be on the menu. The current overnight oats are good, but that earlier version felt more unique. Overall, it's a place that balances quality and routine really well. The consistency across visits is what makes it stick. It's the kind of place where you go for coffee and end up reorganizing your entire morning around staying a little longer.
Really good food. Very loud inside, hard to hear anything. We went on a Sunday brunch around 9-10am and got the last seating. Tried their potato hash, it was good, not spicy. I didn't care for the strawberry pb and j smoothie. It was thick and not very sweet. Glad they do 90 min validated parking. The parking garage is expensive. Overall a good brunch spot if you're willing to wait and don't need to talk to someone. I'd probably do takeout to try the rest of their menu.
I don't understand the stellar reviews. I came here on my birthday for breakfast, anticipating an incredible meal, but was left disappointed. The good - they validate parking for 1.5 hours and the servers are very kind. The bad - the food. I ordered an iced latte and the roti & eggs (their most popular menu item, per our server). The iced latte was simply not good - tasted like a mediocre iced coffee vs a latte. The scrambled eggs were drenched in soy sauce so it was impossible to taste anything but that. The roti was very evidently frozen and reheated, not fresh like I'd expected. Pretty disappointing.
Came here on a Saturday morning, and it was packed. Luckily, I was able to get a seat right away near the window. The food, coffee, and vibes were excellent. I could tell they try to use quality ingredients. Parking: Parking is limited right near the restaurant. Be sure to scan the parking QR code, then, once inside, near the host stand, scan the QR code to validate your parking (1.5 hours complimentary).
This was such a great brunch spot. We arrived right when they opened and it was perfect. Our server was wonderful and walked us through the menu. She was very attentive, friendly, and sweet. Based on her recommendations, we ordered the breakfast burger with a side of hash and the blueberry French toast. For drinks, we got the Aussie iced coffee and the Aussie iced mocha, both topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I really liked the breakfast burger! the egg was cooked perfectly with a very runny yolk. The hash brown was unique, it was crispy, not too oily.
Anytime I swing by for a quick coffee or brunch, I'm delighted by the bright atmosphere and light touch hospitality that makes me feel welcome and warm. Blake & team took good care of us on this occasion, recommending an innovative Avo Toast - deconstructed but cohesive with a medley of greens, tangy pickled shallot with mint vinaigrette. I love me some snap peas and the texture with zucchini & arugula is exciting and unique - no eggs required! With online ordering, coffee subscriptions, and global access, this spot is one-of-a-kind and a love for all time.
A must when visiting ATX. Their coffee is fantastic and their service is 5stars. Such unique, fun food options. I love their take on pancakes (hotcakes). I am a drip coffee lover and their options are endless. We recently brought family here and they were also blown away. Come early as there's usually a wait and the parking lot gets full fast. You won't regret it!

The vibe was fun! It was busy at 1. Our server Blake was fantastic. Helpful, adorable, and knowledgeable. I ordered a Mont Blanc coffee which was amazing. My only complaint was the AC wasn't working well. It was way too hot inside. read more
Perhaps we were here on an off day The good- kids ordered French fries and they were excellent. The granola was also quite tasty. They were out of gluten free toast so the server recommended the Brekky Bowl which looked like it was be fantastic... and here's where things got weird The questionable: The rice must have been day old rice. I do not know how else to explain it. Cold, hard and tasted like it was straight out of the refrigerator. The eggs were cold and maybe that's the way the dish was supposed to be? Cold eggs and cold rice? I just can't imagine anyone enjoying day old, hard rice. It was truly bad. I'm not sure why we didn't send it back... they seemed busy and the two of us that ordered sat there bite by bite wondering if it was really something they serve. When we asked others to taste it we all confirmed- it was flat out gross. They mixed up a couple of our coffee orders - not the end of the world but just added to the overall disappointment read more

Very aesthetically pleasing vibe and good quality pour overs! Got both a sandwich and a burger too, both were decent but definitely were lacking in seasoning yet quite salty. It's best to get there early because we got there late and they had run out of some items we were interested in trying so keep that in mind read more
The coffee was so good I bought a bag. The little one LOVED the babycino. The food was really good, though not as kid friendly. She wasn't as impressed with the plain Greek yogurt, but she did eat a good amount of it. A vanilla yogurt with fruit and honey would have been her jam. She did love the egg. The decor was modern and trendy. The waiter at first made me think he did not like us or maybe didn't like kids? After we ordered, he lightened up and actually was very nice. He had a recommendation for dinner, but unfortunately we weren't able to check it out bc the the bride to be happened to mention dinner near we were staying with her family. read more

One of the best coffee spot while in South Austin! We got here too late as they were closing but able to grab some coffee for the road and I must say...it is worth the drive. Love Proud Mary - we will definitely come back for breakfast! read more

Very very good coffee! They have a standard coffee menu with no added syrups which you do not need because the coffee by itself is so good. I can see why it's a top rated coffee shop in Austin we will definitely be back! read more
The coffees were very smooth and didn't have too much of a bitter taste! The Malay fried chicken salad had a very good kick of spice and crunch, and the salad made the dish refreshing, and it doesn't make the fried chicken too heavy on the stomach. The savory french toast had a very unique flavor profile, with a bit of sweetness from the pomegranate seeds, and savory notes from the egg and french toast. Overall, this is a very solid brunch place, with satisfying portions, and I would love to come back soon!! read more

Delicious food, great coffee and good service! It definitely gets loud in here when it's busy. We had the ricotta hotcakes which weren't too sweet like pancakes sometimes are. Definitely recommend them! Husband got the roti and eggs. Roti tasted fresh and eggs were nicely seasoned. If you're a coffee enthusiast, try the espresso flight! It's a fun way to try some of their best blends. They give you an info card about each espresso shot you try. Fun experience, highly recommend! read more

We walked into Proud Mary and were lucky enough to find a seat right away. We came here for the coffee, which my coworker loved. Props to my nephew, Leo, for the pro tip to order coffee here. Yum! I ordered the Aguachile Salmon which has cold smoked salmon, corn brioche, cucumber aguachili dressing, sweet corn cream cheese, cilantro, radish, dill. This is the best version of avocado toast that I've ever had. I must come back soon! read more
I cannot wait to go back. Let's start with that, as soon as you walk in you feel welcomed it was wonderful especially on Mother's Day. We we're greeted by Tessa. Our server, educated us on what to get to drink what to eat and let me tell you she was amazing. We started out with two different types of coffee. One was a cold brew the other has hot and smooth to the taste as soon as you touched it. The food came. It looked so beautiful, then you took that first bite and your taste buds were dancing up and down like there was a concert going on in your mouth. The dressing in the crispy is the chicken was out of this world to complement pork smash burger with a perfectly cooked egg on top. We also ordered a side of crispy hashbrowns crispy to the touch and the taste. I live in West Palm Beach Florida, and I cannot wait to come back and eat here again and visit my son. Thank you to everyone at proud Mary. It was a wonderful, wonderful Mother's Day and thank you again Tess. read more

01/2026 My wife and I came for the first time on a Sunday early afternoon, around 12 PM, for brunch. You have two options on parking--the lot in front of the cafe, as well as a neighboring garage, both are validated after your meal! The cafe was fairly busy, but we didn't have to wait long to get seated. Note that we were seated at a larger table, where there was a different party next to us at the same table--there's a mix of small and large tables, but it seems combining tables is part of their normal deal (not a fan of that, but went with it for the sake of getting our meal started). There is a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and it's definitely got that "Austin" vibe with its decor, music and overall ambience. Our server was very attentive and prompt on everything throughout our experience. To drink, I ordered an iced latte with vanilla--basic and what a latte should be! Runs on the smaller side, but still enjoyed it. For my meal I ordered the "Breakfast Burger"--a double pork and bacon smashed patty, cheese, onions, Mary's mayo and a fried egg. I also added avocado to it for an extra cost. It was delicious!!! And it was pretty big, hard to fit in my mouth to take a bite, but I managed! The burger was savory and also well-balanced with the yolk of the egg. I would definitely order it again. With the burger I had a side of fries--when you order them, know that it's a large amount, probably great for sharing with someone else if you're going to get them. They were well-seasoned and crispy, a good addition to a burger or sandwich. My wife and I also decided to share a side of "Ricotta Hotcakes"--contained candied yam puree, burnt marshmallow whip, shortbread crumble, compressed apple and apple syrup. They were great! Gave me soufflé vibes with their texture. Texture is very soft, fluffy and combined with the crunch of all that was on top of them, it made for a great bite. Overall a great experience! Food was on the pricier side, but still good. We will definitely come back for brunch/breakfast if we're in the area! read more
Wanted to start the day with a cappuccino and a decent breakfast. The waitstaff were busy, still friendly and helpful though. Going to start off by saying that this is fantastic coffee, I really enjoyed my cappuccino. They have some exotic pourover options too if you want to geek out on some coffee. I also ordered the golden sunrise juice that had beet, ginger, and carrot juices. The juice tasted pretty good, glad the healthy options are there! My wife ordered the eggs on toast, it came with a couple strips of bacon. She said it was good. I had the potato hash, which is a hash brown cake, one strip of bacon and two poached eggs. The poached eggs were cooked how I liked them, but the plate was full of runny egg water? It seemed like the poached eggs were ladled out of the water they were poached in and most of the water ended up on my plate. The potatoes were good, but a decent portion of them in the middle of the cake just didn't get "browned" and the kale... just seemed out of place on this dish, even though it tasted pretty good. Parking is plentiful in the nearby garage and they will validate for you. There's really two things that I had to dock a star for though... The seating is very uncomfortable - at least for me it was. Most seats lack a back, they were basically short stools without a back. Scooting them up to a somewhat short table that I bashed my knee against. It was like I was sitting at a kids table. Then my just my wife and I ended up with a bill over $75 for breakfast. The value just isn't there. My plate was shredded potatoes, two eggs and one strip of bacon. The presentation was fancy, but it's just not worth $20. I guess I shouldn't have ordered it, but the menu is not your typical breakfast place menu, it is definitely more geared towards a "coffee shop crowd". That's not a bad thing, that's what this place is after all. I would stop by again for a coffee, but I'm unlikely to order the expensive food again. read more

I had a calling one afternoon. "Should I spend $30 on a single cup of coffee?" It's a question not many people ask themselves, nor should they. The typical answer would be no. That's frankly extreme for a cup of coffee. However, I like to diverge from the path set forth by my ancestors and say yes to adventure. Say yes to spending $30 for a cup of pour over coffee. Don't try and stop me... Ultimately, I don't know if it was worth it. Like, in the grand scheme of it all, it was $30. It was a unique experience. I opted for the Mama Cata coffee, and the waitress/barista handed me the freshly ground grounds to sniff. I didn't pick up any notes because I'm an idiot and instead was intrigued by how fresh it smelled. Well duh, Zachary, it's freshly ground. I was then handed a little notecard explaining the coffee and its origin as I watched her create the pour over. How do I know she's an expert in $30 coffee? I don't. At least she looked like she knew what she was doing. In a clear, almost wine-glass-style cup, I was given my freshly brewed coffee. I took a sniff and some small sips to really understand the flavor. I so badly wanted to ask for milk for the bit. Whatever. There was red in the center with this almost amber color surrounding it. New coffee colors unlocked. The flavors stayed with me, and ultimately, it was a pretty good pour over. I don't know if it was accidental, but it tasted a little more watery than I was expecting. Not as full-bodied as I'd hope for a $30 cup of coffee. I don't know if I'd casually do it again on my own, but it was cool to run my pockets for a cup of coffee. The true Austin experience. read more
My favorite coffee shop / roaster in Austin for its coffee (so disclaimer: I don't care about the price, service or environment that much). Their coffee menu covers all espresso (and espresso based), nitro snap chill and pourover drinks. Found the 1st COE Columbia on menu and was truly surprised that I could taste it here. They served it a glass cup which was also a surprise. Not a big deal - clean, juicy and floral. Also got the Geisha Nitro Snap Chill and highly recommend it. So flavorful with a delightful fruity note. Perfect for a hot day. Only thing I don't like - portion size is too small lol. Picked a brazil for espresso and it can be done black (shot of espresso) and white (a piccolo). Beautifully done. A sweet and nutty taste in the espresso and an even sweeter and delicious taste from the Piccolo. read more

I love the vibes at this place. They have a cute bar that you can sit and watch the coffee being made. Lots of natural sunlight and open space to grab some food or study. Parking is a little limited but they do validate in their lot. The coffee is great and they have lots of options especially if you're a drip or pour over type of person. The focaccia was 10/10. The perfect amount of crunch in the bread with a creamy red pepper sauce. The only thing I would comment on is the side of hash browns. They were not seasoned at all so maybe opt for something else. read more
Proud Mary's was one of the few restaurants I went to twice during my 3-week stay in Austin. The second time was as good as the first and included the pour over, matcha tea, potato hash (a second time), the french toast (which was more of a savory french toast with eggplant, really loved it) and the avo toast. read more

Seems like a super popular place, so there was about 20 minute wait. The whole restaurant is very bright and inviting. Tables of all sizes so good for small or big groups. Everyone working was super nice and helpful, very easy to talk to. The food was good and I think a really good portion size. I think the variety is really good and flavors are strong and like prominent. I think personally the eggs had a little too much sauce or like something that felt a little too much after a little bit, I needed something acidic to cut through it. All the food tasted super fresh though too. read more

Good for working remotely?
Yes. I noticed a few people working there when I visited
Are dogs allowed?
Outside on the patio. I imagine only real service doggos are allowed inside considering how unsafe itd be with tons of pups running around.
