Two free drinks before they gently tell you that they're not a bar, but just giving out samples. Be sure to hit 'em up! The staff was quite pleasant, helpful, and friendly. We found two new patches that'll look just fine on my jacket. Most of the jewelry wasn't for me, but it sure was purty! They got the corner location of this long strip building on South Congress. It's a nice location. They used to park a looong yellow Cadillac out in front, but I haven't seen their car in a while. Next time I need some Texas jewelry, this is my spot.

They have very striking clothing and jewelry with a large amount of turquoise jewelry pieces. They western wear jackets with the fringes, a large selection of cowgirl hats and western wear accessories. I was literally in Western Wear heaven. Also, when I was in San Antonio, TX last I noticed a Yellow Rose location at the Pearl under construction. The prices were commensurate with the quality of items. Love this store! I am not completely sure about the parking situation. I know there is off street parking and garages nearby. I did see a private lot to the side, but I am not sure if it is the Blanton's, or not. The museum is in the proximity of UT, so it's possible this could be there lot, a shared lot. Just check when coming. Located a short distance across from the Blanton Museum where they house the auditorium and cafe. Make a right as you go in the door and you will easily see it. How could you miss the bright open space that begs you to come closer. It's not a huge space, but it packs a punch with the amount of items they have over a few hundred square feet. All of the displays were attractive. The store was super clean, no dust in sight any where. Such a variety of items, some related to the museum but many not. They also had an items that are a little harder to find such a ACME pens that I collect. Even nice designer clothing which I have never seen in a Museum store. A specific children's area is nice, but not large. Many prints, books and even some glass wear. I was just in love with the variety of items. I did not end up buying anything, but may have if the staff person had even shown the slightest bit of interest. This is the only reason for the downgrade to a four. She barley acknowledged me and after browsing a good 15 minutes never came out from the counter and reading her magazine to ask if she could help. Hopefully she is not representative of the rest of the shop staff. In my opinion this is one museum shop that should be be missed.
