Boutique stationary and craft store that you can mindlessly peruse and then find you buy things you had no idea you wanted. They have interesting classes you can take, too. I try to support small businesses when I can so I try to avoid looking at the price on Amazon, but i did in this instance and it was 30% more inexpensive in store for this particular item. Spending local and with small businesses is a conscious decision, so when you can don't be so price motivated only and think of what keeps a local economy thriving. read more

The Paper + Craft Pantry - Cards & Stationery Near Me - Austin, Texas

This place is SO adorable, and highly recommended if you're a stationery lover (or just stationery curious). There is a lot here, but the staff can help you navigate, especially if you are looking for something in particular. I asked them to show me all their cute snail stuff, and they definitely did that. It was hard not to walk out with a ton of cute stuff! They have lots of writing tools and even have a place to test them out, which I really enjoyed. They also have a place where you can stamp your existing notebooks, which I liked because it gave me a nice souvenir. They also have cards, stickers, and washi too. The plaza this place is in is a fun stop too, so it's worth a drive to check out the other businesses around. There's a tea store right next door. Also a heads up this business has two entrances. read more

This place makes my heart smile! The staff is so nice and store is brimming with paper, pens, notebooks and so much more! You need to visit a few times to truly see everything. I purchased these super cute, tiny bird post-it things. They are so adorable and I can't wait to use them. This shop is located in Springdale General which is a cool spot on the east side. I need to visit this place more often since it makes me happy! read more

Super cute stationery store! It seems like they have an Austin Stationery club (stamps available for your journal at the front) and lovely selection of all sorts of stationery - washi tape, stickers, cards, notebooks, journals, etc. For avid fountain pen users, the selection is a little bit more limited to entry-level (pilot kakuno, kaweco, etc). read more

My second go-to spot for cards and gifts. Great selection of cards, stationary, gifts, and more. Nice prices. Nice staff. read more

This is an adorable shop with a nice variety of inventory. Planner fanatics will love this place - tons of beautiful pens, markers and highlighters to choose from (amongst other things). I purchased a cute and colorful wooden desktop calendar which now adorns my workspace. Items are reasonably priced given some are imported from abroad. This place is definitely worth the trip - I do recommend! read more

Impeccably organized and designed space with the nicest staff. Hard to find a nicer stationery store around.

I LOVEEE! This place has a lot of great and very cute stationery essentials. Though the greeting and special occasion cards section has to be the best! read more

My daughter and I went to this super cute store a couple of months ago. A huge selection of paper goods, notepads, cards, pens, stickers, and a lot of gift ideas. I loved everything and wish I had unlimited amounts of money to spend here - TAKE ALL MY DOLLARS!! Ha! The employee in the store was friendly and very attentive. I loved the way the clerk carefully packed up our items. We purchased stickers, notepads, cards, a small cross-stitch kit, and a few other things that I cannot remember now. I feel like the items were priced well for an indie-store and everything was high quality, my favorite thing is my notepad that has "Sh*t To Do" at the top with a cat printed at the bottom in her litter box. So funny. The only thing I disliked was that parking was tough. We were there during the week and I thjnk there were just a lot of offices that people work at in the same complex of stores. It was just hot out - on cooler days, it would be awesome to just stroll this area and visit all the shops. Not marking down any points for the parking but just be ready to search for a spot. We will be back, though!! I wish I had taken some pictures of the store to share but I guess you'll just have to go check it out yourself. I added photos of a few things we purchased. read more

I've called them 3 times and left a voicemail. Not possible to come during their regular hours because I have work. Had some concern on an order I placed and probably too late to do anything about it now because they refuse to call back or pick up. read more

I love this store! I love touching the paper! The quality is definitely felt through my fingertips. I came heard on small business Saturday and they had a little table to make friendship bracelets, appreciation for their customers and then I also bought two packages of mystery cards 10 cards for $10 which is a steal and when I got home and looked through them . They are absolute perfect!! if you spend a certain amount you were given a scratch off. The couple in front of me got 3 month's subscription box!' I got a coin to use in a machine and got a cute button. Everything is so cute. I love their notebooks and cards. read more

This stationary shop is gonna take all my money. The walls are lined with adorable cards that I want to buy for all my friends and family and the pens and highlighter station have all my must haves. Some of my favorite brands they have there are Papier, Muji (which imo literally have the smoothest ink), and Mildliners. Their products are a little bit on the pricier side, given the quality of their products-for example my singular Muji pen cost $3.75 as opposed to a pack of pens for $3. But I'm a firm believer that my handwriting looks better in .5 gel ink so I'm willing to cough up the extra change. I also bought a blank planner and I find so much joy in filling it out throughout my busy week. Overall, I have been loving my products and had a great time looking around this cute shop. I'll be back ! :D read more

One of the best paper stores I've ever been in. Amazing selection, knowledgeable staff. I'm a bitch when it comes to writing and left shining. If you're on the fence, go here right now, they'll get you right, on god. I didn't even know about the brush stabilos and they got that money selection. Also, the prices were extremely fair, why are you reading this and not shopping there. read more

Paper & Craft Pantry is a gem. It honestly feels like the owner tapped into my brain and figured out what I wanted and stocked it all plus a whole lot more. Pens, paper, notebooks, and all kind of great things. Plus, once you buy your things, you can walk across the parking lot and get a croissant. It's so special and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Go! read more

This store is the absolute cutest store ever. I could literally be in there for hours. Probably don't recommend tho! lol the staff are so sweet and helpful. And If you are a sticker addict like I am, you will absolutely love their sticker selections. But fair warning, you might want to buy them all! read more

The Paper + Craft Pantry is really such a cute spot! The card selection is HUGE, I found so many good ones to add to my collection at home. They also have a small selection of cute gift items, lots of pens/pencils, and some stationary. The space itself is bright and welcoming and they've got plenty of parking. I saw online that they offer workshops/classes, even a cake decorating class recently. My only teeny tiny complaint is their limited hours...I swung by one afternoon last week because I was in the area and they were closed....on a weekday afternoon, kind of strange but that's on me for not checking the hours first. read more

I can't say enough amazing things about this little shop and it's amazing owner, Pei!!!! They literally have a gift for anyone or any occasion. I sent thank you gifts to some very amazing friends and trusted them to assemble them and EVERYONE loved their surprise boxes. Pei and her team go above and beyond to make sure you and your gift recipients are taken care of. Pei, the owner, is literally the nicest person, both in her shop and outside of it. She has my business for life! I have some of her workshop kits and they literally helped me survive Covid while staying home and being safe. So. Damn. Fun. Such an amazing local business - can't wait to attend new workshops in her new space!!! read more

Was trying to get some candles as thank you gift when I came across the Mother's Day market at paper + craft pantry. I've always heard amazing things about this place but stepping inside was really a wonderland for Stationery lovers. There are huge varieties of cards, pens, candles and matchsticks, and other artsy stuff. The things are a little pricey but is definitely a step up from your hallmark cards. The staff were really nice and friendly too! They also packaged the things I bought really nicely. A lot of their things are locally sourced too which I love! Will definitely be back again read more

If you want to impress someone with unique cards in Austin, this is the place to shop. They have locally curated art that just so happens to have a place where you can write a personalized greeting on it. There's nothing better than a thoughtful card. That's just the paper part of The Paper + Craft Pantry. They also offer a variety of classes that range in affordability. They teach them, they invite local artisans inside to teach, and they also occasionally get traveling artists, too! I'm a huge fan of this store, the lightness & brightness that surrounds the building and staff is infectious. Stop by if you're having a bad day, this place can cheer you up! read more

SHOP LOCAL! Pei is so sweet and awesome and her place is just as nice and awesome. Super cute stationary surrounded by super cute plants since Pei is such a great plant mom. I love this place so much, its my little happy place. read more

I'm really surprised The Paper + Craft Pantry does not have many reviews on Yelp, let alone any pictures. I walked into this adorable stationery store to RSVP for one of their events (#penpalparty) and fell in love with their decor and their items. Their location is a little hidden, but you can't miss that vibrant mint green door! Parking is limited to the street. They carry cards, notebooks, trinket dishes, wrapping paper, notepads, signs, prints, and more! The items are from various artists and designers, so you are definitely supporting fresh, original work rather than cookie-cutter designs. Therefore, the prices are a little higher than say, a notebook from Wal-Mart or Target. I heard they also have weekly DIY workshops, so be sure to check those out! The staff is very friendly. Lucia was very kind and answered all of our questions. I would definitely considering going here if I ever needed to get a gift for someone or if I needed to satisfy a stationery need. read more

If you've been to any large city recently (Toronto, New York, Chicago, to name a few), you've probably noticed the trend of modern "paper stores" that sell cards made in the US (although not always made in the store's namesake city), along with notebooks, stationary, and a random assortment of very simple, and usually paper-based, home decor items. While you might think the folksy heart of Texas would have a dearth of these stores, there are actually relatively few here, and so a tiny store like Paper + Craft Pantry actually stands out. Walking up to Paper + Craft Pantry, you might think the store was closed, if you don't look closely (the storefront has no windows and you can't see into the store until you open the door). Even if the place looks closed though, do open the door (as if it's raining it seems they don't leave any signage out front indicating the store is open, even though it is). The store is small, with lots of cards, a few hand selected notebooks and stationary items, and a wonderfully nice store associate. It's definitely sparse in there, but the items that are available are clearly hand selected with a great deal of care. There are a surprisingly large number of greeting cards that are actually from Texas, and what other items the store did have, did seem interesting if that's your thing. If you are in town for SXSW or another conference, and you find the tiny paper stores downtown don't cut it, it's like Paper + Craft Pantry may be more your speed. Just don't expect it to compare to the paper stores you might find in other large cities. It'll suffice, and it's worth the trek out to East Austin for sure (especially if you stick around for a nice drink or dinner), but it's also not going to be the most memorable place you ever visit. read more

This shop is very cute, I didn't realize I live so close to it (shout out to the eastside), I look forward to going to more workshops in the future. We went for a mini free workshop last weekend as part of the austin east tours. We think the full-length workshops will be the best way to go here, we got introduced to the world of lettering. That's the best way of phrasing it, "introduced", we realized it was a mini and free workshop though, so we can't wait to go to the full-length ones with hopefully more instruction. The place though, is very cute. You're greeted with the bright green doors, and inside they sell plenty of cute gift ideas and homemade cards. I'll definitely be stopping back in for some Christmas shopping!! read more

If you're looking for one-of-a-kind cards, card sets, notepads, candles, small gifts and awesome pens, this is THE place to go. The space is really cute and they frequently have fun events to go to (all on their website). The owner and everyone on staff are friendly and super helpful. P.S. If you're looking for a place that has a loyalty card/punch card - this is it! The best thing ever. Will always recommend friends to shop and support local. Keep it up! read more

Loved the workshop! I went here recently with my coworkers and boss for a team building event and it was a great experience. The store itself is very cute with lots of handcrafted items to purchase and the employee was very nice. We took the intro to watercolor class and it was very informative. I got to take home a paint brush and color palette too, so I can practice what I learned at home which I really liked as well. The owner was extremely welcoming and understanding when we had questions, and if you're looking to maybe make a new few friends I would recommend doing these classes. All the other women there were very nice and eager to talk. I will for sure be back in the future! read more

I've had a long-standing love for this shop and the owner. I took a calligraphy workshop here and was very pleased with the whole experience. The store is a lovely space, with well-presented merchandise. About half of the store was set up for the workshop and the other half is dedicated to retail merchandise. This is my go-to store for paper goods. They have the best and most unique selection + they offer workshops that are really fun. I attended a marketing workshop there recently and not only did I get to meet some new, interesting women, I also felt like it was a great value! The mural outside and the mint door are both adorable and when you walk inside there are great cards & gifts + greenery everywhere, which I'm a total sucker for. The decor is spot on. I came here while on vacation in Austin with the intention of perusing and maybe purchasing some small gifts. I wanted to buy everything in the store. There were so many unique items, many from local artists and many handmade. I found my new favorite thing: these delicate and carefully crafted little felt flowers! Now I don't have to worry about my cats eating real plants and I can enjoy my favorite flowers forever. I found some very nice cards and pens as well. I wish there were one of these shops at home.
