This place is SO adorable, and highly recommended if you're a stationery lover (or just stationery curious). There is a lot here, but the staff can help you navigate, especially if you are looking for something in particular. I asked them to show me all their cute snail stuff, and they definitely did that. It was hard not to walk out with a ton of cute stuff! They have lots of writing tools and even have a place to test them out, which I really enjoyed. They also have a place where you can stamp your existing notebooks, which I liked because it gave me a nice souvenir. They also have cards, stickers, and washi too. The plaza this place is in is a fun stop too, so it's worth a drive to check out the other businesses around. There's a tea store right next door. My daughter and I went to this super cute store a couple of months ago. A huge selection of paper goods, notepads, cards, pens, stickers, and a lot of gift ideas. I loved everything and wish I had unlimited amounts of money to spend here - TAKE ALL MY DOLLARS!! Ha! The employee in the store was friendly and very attentive. I loved the way the clerk carefully packed up our items. We purchased stickers, notepads, cards, a small cross-stitch kit, and a few other things that I cannot remember now. I feel like the items were priced well for an indie-store and everything was high quality, my favorite thing is my notepad that has "Sh*t To Do" at the top with a cat printed at the bottom in her litter box. So funny. The only thing I disliked was that parking was tough. We were there during the week and I thjnk there were just a lot of offices that people work at in the same complex of stores. It was just hot out - on cooler days, it would be awesome to just stroll this area and visit all the shops. Not marking down any points for the parking but just be ready to search for a spot. I came heard on small business Saturday and they had a little table to make friendship bracelets, appreciation for their customers and then I also bought two packages of mystery cards 10 cards for $10 which is a steal and when I got home and looked through them . They are absolute perfect!! if you spend a certain amount you were given a scratch off. The couple in front of me got 3 month's subscription box!' This stationary shop is gonna take all my money. The walls are lined with adorable cards that I want to buy for all my friends and family and the pens and highlighter station have all my must haves. Some of my favorite brands they have there are Papier, Muji (which imo literally have the smoothest ink), and Mildliners. Their products are a little bit on the pricier side, given the quality of their products-for example my singular Muji pen cost $3.75 as opposed to a pack of pens for $3. But I'm a firm believer that my handwriting looks better in .5 gel ink so I'm willing to cough up the extra change. I also bought a blank planner and I find so much joy in filling it out throughout my busy week. Overall, I have been loving my products and had a great time looking around this cute shop. Was trying to get some candles as thank you gift when I came across the Mother's Day market at paper + craft pantry. I've always heard amazing things about this place but stepping inside was really a wonderland for Stationery lovers. There are huge varieties of cards, pens, candles and matchsticks, and other artsy stuff. The things are a little pricey but is definitely a step up from your hallmark cards. I'm really surprised The Paper + Craft Pantry does not have many reviews on Yelp, let alone any pictures. I walked into this adorable stationery store to RSVP for one of their events (#penpalparty) and fell in love with their decor and their items. Their location is a little hidden, but you can't miss that vibrant mint green door! Parking is limited to the street. They carry cards, notebooks, trinket dishes, wrapping paper, notepads, signs, prints, and more! The items are from various artists and designers, so you are definitely supporting fresh, original work rather than cookie-cutter designs. Therefore, the prices are a little higher than say, a notebook from Wal-Mart or Target. I heard they also have weekly DIY workshops, so be sure to check those out! The staff is very friendly. Lucia was very kind and answered all of our questions. I would definitely considering going here if I ever needed to get a gift for someone or if I needed to satisfy a stationery need. read more

If you've been to any large city recently (Toronto, New York, Chicago, to name a few), you've probably noticed the trend of modern "paper stores" that sell cards made in the US (although not always made in the store's namesake city), along with notebooks, stationary, and a random assortment of very simple, and usually paper-based, home decor items. While you might think the folksy heart of Texas would have a dearth of these stores, there are actually relatively few here, and so a tiny store like Paper + Craft Pantry actually stands out. Walking up to Paper + Craft Pantry, you might think the store was closed, if you don't look closely (the storefront has no windows and you can't see into the store until you open the door). Even if the place looks closed though, do open the door (as if it's raining it seems they don't leave any signage out front indicating the store is open, even though it is). The store is small, with lots of cards, a few hand selected notebooks and stationary items, and a wonderfully nice store associate. It's definitely sparse in there, but the items that are available are clearly hand selected with a great deal of care. There are a surprisingly large number of greeting cards that are actually from Texas, and what other items the store did have, did seem interesting if that's your thing. If you are in town for SXSW or another conference, and you find the tiny paper stores downtown don't cut it, it's like Paper + Craft Pantry may be more your speed. Just don't expect it to compare to the paper stores you might find in other large cities. It'll suffice, and it's worth the trek out to East Austin for sure (especially if you stick around for a nice drink or dinner), but it's also not going to be the most memorable place you ever visit. read more

This shop is very cute, I didn't realize I live so close to it (shout out to the eastside), I look forward to going to more workshops in the future. We went for a mini free workshop last weekend as part of the austin east tours. We think the full-length workshops will be the best way to go here, we got introduced to the world of lettering. That's the best way of phrasing it, "introduced", we realized it was a mini and free workshop though, so we can't wait to go to the full-length ones with hopefully more instruction. The place though, is very cute. You're greeted with the bright green doors, and inside they sell plenty of cute gift ideas and homemade cards. Loved the workshop! I went here recently with my coworkers and boss for a team building event and it was a great experience. The store itself is very cute with lots of handcrafted items to purchase and the employee was very nice. We took the intro to watercolor class and it was very informative. I got to take home a paint brush and color palette too, so I can practice what I learned at home which I really liked as well. The owner was extremely welcoming and understanding when we had questions, and if you're looking to maybe make a new few friends I would recommend doing these classes. About half of the store was set up for the workshop and the other half is dedicated to retail merchandise. I came here while on vacation in Austin with the intention of perusing and maybe purchasing some small gifts. I wanted to buy everything in the store. There were so many unique items, many from local artists and many handmade. I found my new favorite thing: these delicate and carefully crafted little felt flowers! Now I don't have to worry about my cats eating real plants and I can enjoy my favorite flowers forever. I found some very nice cards and pens as well. I wish there were one of these shops at home.
