Check your clay before you drive off. They have given the wrong bags to newbies who don't recognize the colors.

I came here late Sunday afternoon for a tarot and vision board event. The event lasted two hours…read moreand was a lot of fun. They offer various events throughout the month, including soap making! This is a cool shop with many crafting supplies, including stamps, magazines, hot glue, etc. I am not a super crafty person, but it did not matter. One can easily create a vision board. Plenty of parking is available and near a few places to grab a bite to eat or do additional shopping.

It is an open space with all sorts of art supplies, tools, and just about anything your imagination can muster up. Lots of inspiration. I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.

Would you look at that? Yet another pending draft that's been sitting waiting to be finished…read more I come to Jerry's on a regular basis for both work and personal purchases. With a degree and background in interior design and freelance photography, I've always got a project going on. Jerry's has everything I need from Prismacolor pencils to vellum, ink, paint, canvas, and more. I love that they also offer custom framing. They do a swell job too. Anything and everything I've ever needed, I've been able to find here. Service is primo. If you need something not in stock or something a little more rare, they're happy to assist with getting it ordered in. Folks here know their stuff and that's really important for artists shopping for tools and supplies. A+

There are many affordable options as well as higher level options if needed. I've yet to not find the thing I'm looking for and can usually find things I hadn't even thought of. Lastly, the service is so friendly and warm. I always leave a little happier than I was when I went in. May this always be open.

If you need a break from the digital world you can browse around Kinokuniya and pick up a hobby…read more They have unique stationery, books, music, and toys you wouldn't find at Michaels, Target, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart. Originally we were just going visit just 99 Ranch. We didn't know they had a Kinokuniya in Austin so we checked it out. It's located in a strip mall with a bunch of other Asian businesses. I like Austin's layout better than their Portland, Oregon location. The Austin store is less chaotic than the Seattle location. That's partly because the Seattle Kinokuniya is near a public transit hub.

In addition to an incredible selection of Japanese and English-language books, the store is filled with stationery, art supplies, anime merchandise, pens, unique gifts, charms, and all kinds of fun gadgets. Wow, wow, wow! I was completely overwhelmed...in the best possible way. There was so much to see that I had to take three deep breaths, slow down, and explore one aisle at a time. Everywhere I turned, I discovered something new and interesting. I found myself just as captivated by the beautifully displayed merchandise as I was by the books. As soon as I walked in, a friendly staff member greeted me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. When I replied, "No, I'm just browsing," she smiled and pointed out the store's main sections, making it easy to begin my adventure. Everything I looked at was reasonably priced. Fun, eclectic, non-standard bookstore...
