Instead, the project took over a year and was $60k over budget. Some of this was due to unforeseen circumstances (like unexpected electrical rewiring to fix existing issues). Most of this, however, was due to Kyle being unresponsive to both myself as the homeowner and his contractors who told me time and time again that they were unable to reach Kyle for time-sensitive decisions and instructions. Additionally, when his team made mistakes (which they did frequently due to a lack of supervision or the wrong plans on set or a litany of other reasons), Kyle charged me for the time and materials required to redo the work. Not only was the project poorly managed and way over budget and timeline, the quality of the work was so poor that I am still dealing with broken plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues that continue to cost me thousands of dollars to repair. All the faucets leak. The doors don't close properly. The floor is so unlevel (despite being an addition) that furniture doesn't fit properly. The HVAC vent in my son's room was covered up so there's no airflow coming into the bedroom. After a plumbing emergency the weekend I moved back in during which raw sewage came up through my new shower because his team had left the test plug in (!!!), Kyle was nowhere to be found. He didn't respond to calls, emails, texts, or messages in WhatsApp and Signal, and I ended up being on the hook for the nearly $3k plumbing bill to repair his team's mistake. Once I finally heard back from him on Monday, he and I agreed to part ways and terminate the relationship. I clearly laid out for him the conditions of the termination in writing, and he accepted. I have not heard from him again and, true to my word, have contracted directly with professionals that are repairing his team's work at my expense. Now I am receiving Intent to Lien notices from the subcontractors that he neglected to pay for work he contracted with them directly. He and I did not have a contract, and there are no grounds under which I am responsible for these payments. Kyle created pull requests for work completed, and I paid them same day. Every single time. Apparently, KYLE HAS NOT PAID HIS SUBS and they are now coming after me. Fortunately, I have documentation dating back to the beginning of the project that demonstrates Kyle's negligence as a General Contractor, as well as the documentation from all of the professionals I've had to contract since we terminated the relationship that are willing to go on record to describe the egregious mistakes and lack of craftsmanship in everything from the framing to the plumbing to the finish out, so I'm hopeful that I will not continue to be held responsible for Kyle's lack of attention and oversight.

The paint job includes all exterior trims (eaves, doors and windows, gutters, chimney, garage door). Both times the work were top notch, timely and relatively unobtrusive. The work took a couple of days, IIRC, but only time when I *had* to be present was for the main entry door to be taken off its hinges to be sanded and painted. Speaking of the main door, the workers removed all the door's hardware prior to painting and reinstalled them properly afterward. Everything to be painted are washed beforehand, including with a mild solution of bleach to kill any budding mildew that can ruin the paint job. The painting was done first with power rollers then the wet paint "burnished" with brush to ensure paint adhesion. I can't speak to their price because we did not shop around: we decided to just use Joe Kasson Painting after seeing their trailer in our cul-de-sac a few times when they did work for our neighbors. We are happy customers and will definitely use them again in the future.

I received quote…read morefrom 3 different people, and they all said that it appears that Perfect Floors didn't seal the floor before adding the Polyurethane top coats. This needs to be done with a stain or natural color sealant or else you get the problems I posted in my photos. When they mentioned that I realized that they were right, I don't remember the Perfect Floors guy doing a sealant coat. So that was several thousand dollars of my money wasted because of their error. And no one from Perfect Floors has ever contacted me to make it right.

I was scammed, ghosted, and lied to…read morefor months by Will/Guillermo Figari, ultimately losing over $5,700 and setting my home renovation back over 2 months. I purchased a home that had floors installed by Luma Hardwoods / The Hardwood Agency (he seems to go by multiple business names and actual names as referenced by other reviewers). I had some water damage and reached out to Luma to match the floors that were previously installed in the home. Then things unfolded as described below: January 12 - I paid for the order in full (that was a mistake) and Will said the order would be stateside in a month (supposedly it was coming from Italy, but I think that was actually untrue as well) Feb 6, Feb 16, Feb 20, Feb 23, March 3 - Texted, called, Emailed - no response from Will March 4 - He finally responded and said the order had not shipped from Italy and he agreed to cancel my order (since he couldn't provide tracking or any kind of accurate update on when the product would ship or arrive) March 4 - March 22 - Emailed, called, texted asking for a refund - no response. I am currently disputing this with my bank and will be joining the list of other customers Will has scammed by opening a small claims case in Travis County. Please don't make the same mistake I did and get scammed by this company. EDIT: Will has been saying my refund is "in process" for weeks now, over a month after my order was cancelled and he agreed to provide a refund. I have filed a police report, reported him to Better Business Bureau, filed an IC3 claim, and will continue to spread the word in the hopes that he doesn't rip anyone else off.
