Diego at Austin's Floor Store was super helpful at educating me about different types and grades of engineered hardwoods. Once I narrowed down that I wanted a white oak floor without a lot of knots and a certain thickness of wear layer, Diego got to work finding options in my preferred color range. He even did research and ordered floor samples that he did not have in the store. He was patient and always answered all my questions. Diego recommended that we first order a sample box to make sure it matched the sample board. It is a good thing we did that, because the sample box was a shade lighter than the sample board. We still liked it, though, and placed the full order. We are doing a whole house gut renovation, and Diego worked with our contractor to reserve the flooring and hold it until we were ready. Diego also provided a competitive price. I cannot comment on their installation services because our contractor installed the floors. But we were happy with everything else. read more

I was initially disappointed to find the Cedar Park location closed during business hours but it was Super Bowl Sunday and nobody was there. I found another location on Burnet and met Tori. Over the course of a six weeks she gave ideas, opinions, and options. I was there numerous times looking at samples undecided on what to do. She referred me to some other trades to help with modifications to the house to facilitate the install which was greatly appreciated. The team knocked out 2200sq ft in roughly a week. They were in and out so fast! They were very accommodating leaving the master bedroom until the end so I had a place to work. They moved everything around and got the job done! I cannot thank Tori enough for putting up with me and the numerous changes along the way. She was always so patient and quick to respond day or night. At no time was communication a problem and day 1 for install she was here making sure the team understood anything we had discussed! Any deficiencies were promptly addressed and those were minimal cosmetic issues with baseboards but that was addressed no question asked or excuses which was refreshing! There was some issues with trim and she was very forthcoming to say there may be an issue, how would we like to proceed and they delivered! This review is long overdue since I had painters in the day after for 4 weeks and now that they left, everything looks warm and cozy! This was a huge transformation! Thanks Tori and the install team! BUYER BEWARE!! Do not waste your time and money and use this flooring company. They take on jobs that their contractors do not complete the way you want it done. If they can't do the basic concrete work done correctly, how do they expect the overall flooring to look seamless? I'm extremely disappointed to say that the vinyl flooring they did for my home just looks absolutely awful. It's been two months and already all the trim work done is coming apart and doesn't look like it will last. It's been an entire year since our installation and didn't want to post this. But a recent phone call and appt was made to replace some planks of laminate has brought me here. Most important thing that has me leaving this review is their lack of respect and urgency when appts are made to be met at the home. Not 1, not 2 but at least 4 times we have called mike to make an appt and he would COMPLETELY blow us off or was EXTREMELY late with no notice before hand. No call of apology, just doesn't show up! I can't even begin to imagine why you would do that your own business. The first time was the get all measurements of our new home. He was about 30 mins late and didn't even call us to let us know. When the floors were to be installed my husband took the whole day off and they showed up hours after promised time. No indication that they may be late, not phone call. NOTHING! My husband could at least worked a half day to make some money. But instead wasted it sitting around the house waiting on them. 3. We payed for baseboards along with the Laminate and they did a Wack job! See photo! We demanded our $ back it was clearly done POORLY! and they had too many joints on one wall. 4. Damage was made to our floors recently and we have a 'warranty'. Made a appt for today for them to come in and he never showed up, returned our messages or called us. Again, my husband took the entire day off and they never came or called. Another day of work missed out on. If this doesn't deserve one star I don't know what does. Save yourself the hassle folks. Does not honor warranty.. Floors were defective. Long drawn out process trying request for repairs/replacement. Ultimately was told nothing could be done. Engineered hard woods developed unsightly peeling to finish within the first few months of install. They helped us select flooring that would work for us and our lifestyle (and our dogs :) ) and transformed our home in what seems like a remarkably short time. Do not do business with this company. We bought LVP flooring from them for our home; downstairs, stairs and the upstairs. Initial install seemed to go well and the crew was attentive. Unfortunately, they did not do the float correctly and the floor creaked, cracked, and shifted underfoot all over the house. Store owner claimed it was normal. I pressed the issue and he had the mfg send in an inspector. They found several spots (5+) areas that were outside the acceptable tolerances. Owner begrudgingly agreed to have the spots repaired under his 2 year warranty window. This repair took months to receive and even after the repair was completed, same problems in the same spots. When this was brought to his attention, he was less than happy and claimed it was normal again; that I was just being overly sensitive and had unrealistic expectations. 3rd attempt at the repair came to find out the product connection design/mechanism had changed and "no one knew" about it. So not we are months on from there, waiting for a 4th attempt at a proper install/fix. We are well beyond a year into this installation and we still have terribly laid/installed floors. Do not do business with this company or with the owner Tim Redwine. No a good company, not a good installation and not a good owner. Avoid or use them at your own peril/wasted time & money. read more

These guys are GREAT! It's a husband and wife who run it. They have a gold selection. I had my bedroom carpet removed and laminate flooring installed. It looks amazing. Don't hire a handyman to do this work. They'll charge you so much more and they won't be able to do it as fast. The Floor Store sent one guy to do my job. He finished in about 2 hrs. Amazing. My house recently underwent water damage and my insurance was paying to redo the floors of my entire first floor. I first did what anyone does - go to Lowe's and Home Depot. I soon realized that there were SO MANY HIDDEN FEES!!!!!! I was overwhelmed by the cost and not impressed with the service. I first met Perry in the store, who patiently worked with my boyfriend and I as we went through half the stores samples. He then recommended that we take home 4 of our favorites to see what they looked like INSIDE our home. WOW! We actually ended up picking a completely different sample than expected. Perry then came out to measure, gave us a quote (with EVERYTHING included) and set us up with an installation time. Unfortunately, my construction took far longer than expected, and I had to push my install date back twice, and both times Perry was very understanding. I stopped by, more out of curiosity, while getting my car inspected next door. We were shopping for wood floors for our condo, but AFS was not really on our list of prospective suppliers. Mike was very personable, and offered to give us a quote for our floors. We let him check out our place, take measurements, and give us a price. We had a lower quote from another vendor, so we went ahead and told them they had the work. Mike offered to match the price, but I didn't want to play one vendor off another, and I had already agreed to the other vendor. Alas, our other vendor was not responsive when we needed to start, and so we returned to Mike and signed a contract. The crew was very efficient and skilled in their installation, and I must say that even after I thought they were finished, they spent well over a half hour more detailing and polishing our new floors. There was not a spot on them, and the craftsmanship was very well done. Spent over a thousand dollars putting a new hard wood floor in a room. Then when the job was done there are gaps in between each board. Called them about it and they said that the type of board I purchased is built that way. They never told me about that when we were discussing the job and materials used. I've never seen a wood floor that has gaps in between each board. Until now. The workmanship seems good but I just wish there were no gaps between each board. read more
