I highly recommend The Third Place restaurant! This fairly new gem in Lancaster, California--right in the heart of the Antelope Valley--is a must-visit gathering spot. I had the pleasure of dining there on a Sunday and was fortunate to meet Jake, one of the co-owners and manager, along with our amazing server, Haley (with a "Y"). Both were incredibly welcoming and added to the great experience. The food? Absolutely delicious! We ordered the sticky wings and the cauliflower tacos--both packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Although it wasn't too crowded during our visit, Jake let us know that the restaurant fills up fast during the week and especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Their drink menu is extensive, with a wide variety of cocktails and beverages. Even their water presentation stands out--it's served in a sleek flask. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last night! Someone mentioned eating here to me so we stopped by to give it a try and I'm so glad we did! We sat at the bar and got drinks, I got the cold brew martini and a strawberry lemon drop, they were both delicious! My boyfriend got the third place margarita and the thirds place mezcalita, and they were good as well! For the starters we got the French baguette and ahi tuna, neither of them disappointed! The Third Place has great food options, i love their inclusion of meatless options. I had the risotto and it was delicious, cheesy, earthy from the shitake, and portioned well. My table also had a burger and beet salad and both were reported to be delicious. Wow! Compliments to both the server and the chef! We went there for a date night and although it's located in a plaza, the ambiance was such a vibe. The server was so attentive and didn't rush us at all. She was happy to provide recommendations and detailed some of the ingredients we were unfamiliar with. We ended up ordering the Onion Galette, Mushroom risotto, Rib Eye with Creamed Zucchini, and the Tres Leche Banana Bread, along with a few cocktails. First and foremost the Service 5 Ambiance 5. I will give this place another try in the future, but my most recent meal was NOT good. Fish tacos priced pretty high but the quality just wasn't there. They also had a mash potato texture, very little flavor and strong fish smell. They were "build your own" situation, but the fish was so wet and mushy it oozed out of the tortilla. Maybe if they used a Mahi or similar it would have held up better? The blue corn tortillas seemed hand made, and were very good. I'm a big fan of fish tacos, but those ruined my appetite. read more

Went back last night and the menu changed, got the Steak Bahn Mi and it was just as good...I tend to worry about ordering steak sandwiches because either the steak is tuff or not enough of it, definitely not the case here. This is such a cute little place. The inside is very nicely designed with modern lighting, stylish decor, and a beautiful full service bar. My wife and I have been here 4-5 times and each time the service has been excellent. The food is very good too. I had their house burger which I'd give a 4 out of 5. I love pickles but the thick cut pickles on the burger make it too juicy, and it starts to fall apart. I recommend getting the pickles on the side. Their fries are fresh cut wedges, perfectly crisp and seasoned well My wife had the linguine and LOVED it 5 out 5! It's savory with just a hint of spice. We also had drinks, the manhattan and cold brew martini. They were both mixed well and presentation was nice. They also have some unique draft beers to choose from. Always enjoy the food, service and ambience here. We like the blistered shishito peppers. It's the first place we tried them a couple years ago. Lately, we've really enjoyed their bolognese. This place is always a hit! From the solid drinks the bar puts out to the quality food the kitchen prepares you won't be disappointed. I've been here several times and the ambiance is always great. It had a youthful yet family vibe. The decor is unique and upscale. The service has always been a 10/10. Tonight we went and Jake was incredible! The drinks are terrible. They're super strong over poured and all you taste is bitter alcohol and I like my drink to taste like alcohol but not like these bartenders are not impressed with us at all. The food was OK overpriced the brie burgers were pretty good with the toppings were odd. The best thing was the onion tartan appetizer, but it was very small. It would've fed one person as an appetizer. Not a place I would ever go back to. Was getting some Carne Asada from the meat market next-door, and we drove by and saw this restaurant. We took a peek inside and it was surprisingly nice inside. You can't really tell from the exterior. we had the chicken sandwich with side salad and the burger with potatoes this was the best burger I've had in the antelope valley, thick, juicy pink inside and the chicken sandwiches very tender. The flavors were different than I had before, but we liked it. We had the meatball sliders for appetizer. They were very good. If I had to guess I would say everything in this restaurant seems homemade. I forget our servers name, but he was very friendly and checked on us frequently. My only critique would be that the menus pretty small and I wish they had a few more burger options considering how good it was. read more

I have a major food allergy with carrots. I'm a regular here. Food is always great. My issue is with what was said to be the "chefs decision". I let the kitchen know my allergy and the server came back nearly in tears because the chef would not substitute out for another equal vegetable. It's a real allergy and I never have issues at other restaurants with the kitchen being flexible concerning my allergy. I wasn't going to post anything because I really do love the food and my experience there. But, when allergies are concerned that should be paramount concern of a chef in my opinion. I sent a private email hoping something would be done to try acknowledge my experience and concern but heard nothing back. The food itself tastes pretty good, the theme and the vibes are cosy. My fiancé got a burger and he thought it was decent, I got the crispy chicken sandwich and thought it was decent as well. I just thought it was kind of mid, I wanna give a higher rating but this was our experience. The service was great though!
