Came here after visiting a lot of Mediterranean for something a little different than ice cream. It is a very small place with a casual atmosphere. I haven't really tried boba tea that much however, the gentleman at the counter was nice enough to explain what the different add-ons were and that was pretty awesome. Green tea with the half almond and half egg jelly with only a quarter of sugar. Even with 25% it was still very sugary, but nonetheless, it was very good! The biggest complaint is that they put way more ice in there than drink and jelly, for the price of close to $8.

Wow really ?!? $7 for sunny D with a lemon slice. Overpriced drinks. Never coming back.

This place is a scammer. The posted the promotion then took down on the promotion day.

They scammed. They posted the promotion and took it down on promotion day. Wasted the driving time.

Tea was alright. Great place to study/work. Good for couples and small groups. Parking can be limited on weekends. Drink was out within minutes. The Thai tea had more cream than I'd enjoy. The boba had the right consistency of chewiness. There is a rewards program. Enter your phone number and once you get to 50 points you'll get a free drink. It cannot be exchanged for food, etc. This is a perfect place to study/work. It's quiet on the weekdays. HOWEVER, avoid school hours because the school children come in here and are loud and wild. There are plenty of plugs per each table. You will not have any problems charging your devices. They also offer minimal outdoor seating. You can combine the seating to fit larger groups, but obviously don't be dick and place them back. For the restroom, you have to ask the staff for the key. The restrooms automatically lock when you're inside. This is nice bc the restrooms are clean.

The Teahouse has honestly rarely ever given me a "bad drink". Unfortunately The drink I got here tasted too watery. It wasn't very good. The staff was very friendly. I would come back, but worried my drink would be made too watery again.

Im lovin it! We finally have a milk tea spot over on this side of 6-10. I ordered the coconut taro milk tea with mini Boba. Ah! So good. There is actually flavor in it, unlike alot of other milk tea spots in the heights. And their popcorn chicken, omg! Not your typical frozen breaded bite. Nope! It's that moist dark meat, with a spicy coating, so scrumptious :*) I highly recommend.

Strawberry Banana Cream Blend Never again no sweetness Money wasted!!! Very upset!!

Nothing amazing but does the job when you're craving boba. The tapioca were a tad bit soft for my liking but not bad. I usually get tapioca and agar gel toppings together.

Seating is fine, but hard to manuver a stroller in there, but chair/space was a cute vibe. I ordered an iced latte, and I felt like 7+ dollars is steep for a mediocre latte. They also have a spacious parking lot, which was convenient. Since I had my dog with me, I stepped inside briefly to confirm that the patio was open before settling in. I greeted the young woman at the counter and asked if patio seating was available. She responded, "Yes, because dogs are not allowed inside." That felt unnecessary. I was clearly asking about the patio for that exact reason. I was not attempting to sit indoors, and I understand health regulations. She then added that the Houston Health Department could walk in at any moment. Again, I was not trying to dine inside. I simply wanted to confirm patio access so I could enjoy a coffee outside. I asked if someone would be outside to take my order. She said no. So I asked if she could take my order right then so I could immediately head out to the patio. She agreed, but her tone and demeanor felt dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. At that point, I decided to leave. If the patio is dog friendly, there should be a smoother process for solo customers with pets. A simple, "Yes, the patio is open. Let me take your order now so you can head outside," would have made this quick and easy. Advisory: If you are visiting with a dog, I would recommend bringing another person with you. If you are alone, the ordering process may be awkward, as you cannot remain inside with your dog while placing your order. I would have happily spent money here, but the service made the visit feel more procedural than welcoming.

It was nice and quiet so we felt bad bringing our 22 month old son since a lot of people seemed to be working. The staff was nice, but not overly helpful. The food and the prices were less than desirable. We ordered drip coffee, a hot mocha latte, two breakfast sandwiches (one with ham and the other with bacon), a blueberry scone, and a Greek style-phyllo party. The drop coffee was tiny for $3.49 (with $1.08 refill, seriously), recommend getting it in a to-go cup. Mocha was really good and a good size. The sandwiches were decent, but have had a lot better. Scone was decent, but nothing of note. Finally the phyllo dough pastry should have been their star, but it was soggy and barely warm. Asked them to reheat it, still not crispy as phyllo should be. Will I return? Likely no, unless I just want a mocha. With all the other coffee spots in the Heights, this isn't the start. Recommend going to Jane and the Lion or Angela's Oven if you're looking for a better experience with similar offerings.

The listing for this exact location says "pets welcome," so I felt confident stopping by. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two customers fawning over my dog. Before any staff member greeted me or even acknowledged me as a customer, someone from behind the far counter told me that dogs were not allowed inside. I mentioned that their Google listing says pets are welcome, and the response was that it applies to a different location. That would be fine if it were clear, but the listing I checked had this location's address directly underneath "pets welcome." That is confusing and misleading. What made it more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. There was no greeting, no attempt to clarify kindly, no "We're sorry for the confusion," and no effort to offer a solution like helping me quickly order to go. It felt dismissive. Clear and accurate information matters. If pets are not welcome at this location, the listing should reflect that. I drove out of my way based on that detail, and it ended up being a waste of time and gas. Because of that experience, I chose not to patronize the this location but may try another location one day.

My beloved Boomtown RIP…read more This pains me to write. Different is certainly not always better, especially when what you had was already working. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.
