I ordered the Vietnamese Coffee and 4 eggrolls. The "Vietnamese coffee" was about 1/4 coffee and 3/4 milk or cream. If you know anything about Vietnamese coffee, you would know that this is NOT Vietnamese Coffee. It also did not taste like vietnamese coffee. It was way too milky, way too sweet, not strong and oddly a little bit salty. This coffee may be Vietnamese-inspired, but this is not a ca phe sua da. I also waited 20-25 minutes for my order of 4 eggrolls. I'm sorry, but this is way too long of a wait for 4 little eggrolls. If the order was going to take that long, I feel like the staff simply could've informed me ahead of time, in which case I wouldn't have ordered them. The eggrolls were nice and crispy, with some of them having meat and some just being veggies and noodles - a little inconsistent. Although the space is cute and aesthetic, my experience here was an absolute miss. read more

Need help understanding why it's ok for a Tea place to use instant tea mix. Ordered a Thai Tea, terrible. To start with they used instant tea which just kept settling at the bottom of the cup no matter how much I stirred. The to top off the terrible-ness they put waaaaay to much 'milk' which I'm convinced was straight creamer... just not good at all, had to toss it after 3 sips. Absolutely terrible. Service was ok, nothing to note there. Maybe the other drinks are better idk. read more

I love the drink carriers they give you sometimes, I usually get 1 drink as my go to and my partner tries everything on the menu. The service at times is really good at times. I was extremely disappointed. Went there with my husband on a rare occasion when we both had time off from work to enjoy each other's company and try a new Boba place. Instead, the young man at the register taking our order was so rude and condescending that we didn't even stay to actually have the boba. It doesn't matter how much effort you put into decorating a place if your employees treat customers like trash. Really unfortunate. read more

The drinks here are so UNIQUE. I love the fusion between Mexican and Asian flavors, and if I lived in the area, I would definitely come back to try the entire menu. Unfortunately, I don't live in the state, so I will just have to dream about the taro horchata drink I got. I think this would work great in Atlanta though haha. The service was very attentive. My group didn't have any questions, but I saw them patiently work with other customers through the menu. Super cute boba/tea shop with yummy snacks! What drew me here was the frenchie logo and paintings! Then I saw the little wall arcade machines and I died! We were exhausted so we both tried the Vietnamese coffee with half sugar. I regret not ordering another shot as it tasted good but it didn't give me the surge of energy I was hoping for. Still, I recommend it for any coffee lovers. My gf ordered the matcha ice cream with the pandan bubble waffle. I personally don't love ice cream so I can't really judge it but the waffle was definitely amazing! It was extremely flavorful, light and crispy. I really wish we lived closer as I would visit more. I love the variety of drinks offered -- classic milk tea, fruity drinks, and coffee, plus the more exotic fruits! Also, rare, is an array of food you can order if you're feeling hungry. The employees are nice, and the drinks come out quickly. I order a pandan bubble waffle, which was really freaking good. Just the right amount of pandan flavor, and the dual glutenous-crispy textures were perfect! I'd definitely recommend this with your boba! I did knock off a star because the boba was very disappointing, they didn't quite taste very fresh. My guess is they don't prepare new batches of boba too often (we ordered it roughly around 5pm on a Saturday). Def get a bubble waffle! and check with them on the freshness of the boba. read more

I cant say much about the opening staff, but the closing staff is an embarrassment to the establishment on its own. My mom and I went to this one specifically, AN HOUR before closing, and weren't even greeted the best way, made it seem like we were interrupting their conversation during their work time, but it must have been a busy day so we didn't even mind it. We get a rude cough of acknowledgment and place our orders. We ordered our drinks with boba and didn't add anything else, once we received our drinks before we could leave we notice there were no boba on either drinks, its no problem since we haven't left the establishment yet. We go back in to fix this small mistake and the girl behind the counter with attitude goes "well when he asked you if you wanted anything else you said no..." no ma'am, i said no to anything else added to my order, i said i wanted boba with both drinks, "oh let me see the receipt" she did not give us a receipt but my mother is enough to witness me asking for boba because its what we came for. She does not even let me see my OWN receipt and crumbles it and charges me for the boba, thats fine its just a few scents for them to add boba to my drinks. This unprofessional trainee, all she did was hand me a cup, a small cup, of boba and said "here you go" and thats it. It doesn't take much to take the easy removing top off my drinks and the boba nor is it a hassle to repress a new top to other drink that was only covered in a wrapper, i can see the machine that covers those specific drinks from where i was standing. Her attitude towards the simple no brainer task only left a sour impression on this place, along with the other two who looked like it was too hard for them to make 10 min drinks for two people. Do better, hire people with at least the bare minimum of social skills. read more

Teatonic is a nice little family owned boba shop in north Houston. I tried the taro milk tea, and my friends tried the taro creme brûlée, strawberry green tea, jasmine green tea, and black milk tea. Everyone said their drinks were good, and they had a lot of fresh fruit in their display case to use for the drinks. I also got the pandan waffle which was fresh and delicious - crispy on the outside and nice and soft/chewy on the inside. At the time of this review, Yelp had a coupon for free waffle with $10 purchase (scroll up above the reviews!). The interior of the shop is decorated cutely, and it's in a large plaza so there's plenty of easy parking. The music isn't too loud here, so it'd be a good place to study or relax. North Houston welcomes a new milk tea shop with a variety of drink choices. I love that there are several kinds of Ube/taro drinks, from the creamy ube brûlée, to a classic ube milk tea, and finally the taro horchata. I ordered the latter, and can happily report it was satisfying. Definitely order 50% sweet or less. The lychee rose was a sparkling drink, that tasted more like a soda, but with fancy rose petals added. I wish it included bits of fruit, like strawberries. The house special milk tea was pretty mild in tea flavor, but. 50% sweetness and light ice was just right. Every drink is around $5.50 to $5.90 without any toppings. For any topping added it's 75 cents extra. The pandan bubble waffle was a perfect snack to pair with the drinks! read more

I really like Teatonic solely on the fact that they're using fresh fruit for their teas. Their drinks are very refreshing when you want a a lighter drink and it's not overly sweet. It's especially great after a meal as it kinda cleanses your palate (or at least that's what I've experienced when drinking) Highly recommend checking them out if you haven't already. read more

TeaTonic was great , i went in with a sweet tooth more so leaning towards the matcha section. i ordered a flan caramel brûlée 10/10 , we got a strawberry lemonade that was super refreshing ! 10/10 and a Muddy Boba that was on the very sweet side but still pretty good 9/10 we also got the Peach Blossom also very refreshing sweet side as well 9/10 and i saw Banana Matcha and that sounded so good, but when i started sipping it was like the most unnatural artificial banana and the matcha was very milk tasting and not at all matcha so i kindly asked if i could swap it out for something else and i really battled between so many good sounding options and i ended up choosing the Strawberry yakult smoothie and it was super good ! 10/10 i enjoyed that very much. i appreciated the kind service so im definitely coming back to try all those good sounding combination drinks , i was caught by the grapefruit lover drink and the lychee crush i'll be back ! read more

Actually the best boba I've ever had. I placed an order on Uber eats so my expectations for a fresh drink were low, but I am so pleasantly surprised! They use nugget ice which I personally think is best. The boba is consistent and the perfect texture. The tea to caramel flavor is the right ratio as well.
