What a pleasant surprise to see a replacement for The Boba Spot, which I loved before CoVid19 pandemic. Now, it's a new normal that we all have to endure. I hardly come by this area since everyone is working from home. Driving from Chinatown takes about 20 minutes for errands, like pickup mail or shipping something at PO Box Etc or shopping at The Home Depot, I always look for something to cool me down. Just few months ago, I saw a banner up "Tapioca Blossom" on the building. I normally don't pay too much attention to temporary signs for restaurants. But this time, I want to make a point to give it a try. I invited my coworker to try their boba milk tea. Him and his kids were happy with their drinks. Me on the other hand, I didn't like my Artichoke Drink. But I really wanted Pennywort Drink from the menu but they don't carry it along with a lot of items. That was a major turn off which reminds me of The Boba Spot refusing to modify menu. At least Tapioca Blossom doesn't advertise things they can't make from the kitchen. The Boba Spot left a giant menu on the window to show their hot food that they could never serve because there was no full kitchen. I really hope Tapioca Blossom would remove that useless window covering. I regretted that I added too many toppings in my drink. Boba aka tapioca balls were cooked to perfection. Don't be fooled by the bars on windows and faded photos on the exterior. The inside is welcoming enough with good food and decent selection of smoothies and milk teas. No extra charge of substitutions of milks- many nondairy options. Wintermelon milk tea was refreshing and pleasant tasting. I got 50% sweet, which was great. I could go even less sweet next time. Never have I found a tapioca shop with the standard options AND Viet food! The pork Banh mi was on the smaller side, but I enjoyed every single bite. Buy 5 get 1 free! It is my first time here. I had the Chai milk tea with almond milk and tapioca with shrimp spring rolls. Everything was so good! The spring rolls were fresh, and I appreciated that the peanuts were on the side in case of a nut allergy. The chai milk, tea with almond milk was delicious. This place has some decent tapioca/boba flavors, however, their employees could be a lot more friendlier and helpful. One of the employees put 6 drinks in a 4 drink holder. This lead to me and my boyfriend accidentally dropping 2 of the drinks. All of the employees saw, yet NONE came to help us clean it. We had to clean it up with the napkins they had at the front. I think this is completely unacceptable for a business to treat their customers that way. There has also been some times I've came where the girls at the front taking orders weren't that friendly. This boba place sucks. Most of their drinks are made from powder and their egg rolls are old. We went there to order their sugar brown boba drink and it was not good. We also ordered egg rolls...I'm speechless. They were tasteless. Soggy and falling apart. As soon as we picked it up it literally crumbled. I will never go back or recommend anyone to go there. I googled the hours and it says it closes at 9...well I went here on 8/29 at 8:30pm and the door was locked. Two girls were inside and refused to even acknowledge our presence. I went back the next day during the afternoon and the same employees were there. The service was lacking and the taro smoothie was too sweet. Also, they were very conservative with there boba as I only had a couple at the bottom. I love trying new boba spots but this place is subpar. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because one their staff is supper nice, two they're efficient and clean, and three the drinks are really good. I came in 20 minutes before closing, and as someone who works in retail people coming in 20 minutes before closing is annoying, but the staff was nice and didn't make any negative face expression or comments (that we heard lol). I came in and wasn't greeted at all even when I said hello to the cashier she didn't say anything back and stood there until I placed my order. My food did take a minute to come out and when it did I wasn't notified, they just left it on the counter until I noticed it. This place is completely trash and should be shut down! They sold me 4 sandwiches which two were pork and the other two were chicken. The girl at the register stated they do not have the equipment to cook the sandwiches. Question? Why would you sell sandwiches that you know are not properly prepared? Oh my goodness! This place is literally the best boba place ever. I was a fan of the previous owner's shop but then all of a sudden they started being so dry & almost like they were being rude? So I stopped coming by but then I was around the area & saw they had replaced them & gave them a try.
