Mangonada Slush
Sarah W.

I would not get the mangonada from here again. The mango slush itself wasn't very flavorful and then the "chamoy" just tasted like tajin that had been soaked in water for a long time. Service was fast though, and the vibes inside were good.

Super cute place. Not really sure where you are supposed to park though. if you happen to find a good parking spot, you can stay for a while. This one looks like a cool spot to chill and play games with friends, and i thought the lego wall was super cute. service was quick! my drink was pretty tasty!

Been coming here for a few years and never had an issue. Drinks come out fast. Service is great. Staff is nice. The menu is pretty extensive. The inside is always clean and lively. I'll keep coming back.

solid bubble tea and drinks. friendly staff. clean and cute decor. great location if you live near by or are coming from dinner. parking is a pain otherwise.

Torn between a 3* and 4*. KF is your corporate, basic, Boba tea spot that lacks any personality or distinct touch. All the milk tea is powder based and everything is pretty basic for your "first venture" into Boba drink. It's pretty convenient in location right next to Piola and Jinya; for parking you would need to park in the parking garage or streetside. Obviously all Boba tea is overpriced for what it is and KF is no exception. I wouldn't recommend unless you're already close by or never tried Boba before. It's here, it's fine, it works.

Mango Creamsicle with and without boba

The quality of drinks here is probably on par with other KFTs. There is a free parking garage in the back with abundant parking. The inside of this shop is a clean, modern space conducive to hanging out with friends and family. I didn't see any games to play like in other KFTs. I am not a big tea fan, so I'm happy there are many non-tea options on the menu. It's not on the menu for some reason, but I highly recommend the mango creamsicle!

Mango Green Tea

This was decently good. My drink was handed to me fast which they must have had 1 ready . The staff were quick. The inside has a nice design which was a theme of space tech.

The Oreo bubble tea was fine, also the mango green tea. And it's good that you could take these back to Jingyu/Gen. But the tattoo boy behind the counter was surprisingly rude... He did not ask about any sugar or ice preferences which all the tea shops would normally do. And he said nothing when we asked him about fresh milk tea selection, but keep pointing on the menu or shaking his head. Well I thought he might have any problems speaking, then he read loudly about the prices...

We are the only ones in here, the girl at the Cash register was rushing and rude. At one point I glance over and she was in the middle of rolling her eyes while we looked at the menu. I'm sorry we interrupted your conversation with your co worker to order, when clearly you had better things to do. Coming from retail management, I just Hope the owner sees who they have in the customer service business, as the first face customers see upon arrival and entrance. Ordered 3 Teas Grapefruit green tea Honey Milk tea Mango slush And Half a dozen of macaroons

Thai milk tea

Great Thai milk tea! Nice ambience. Speedy service with little to no line. Very welcoming staff.

I always come into this place when I eat around the area. Clearly we all know the situation we have- every fast food place is short staffed. This place is one of them, there was only one person making the drinks and taking orders but yet, our drinks came out fast and tasting good. I was told there was no brown sugar milk tea; when i've gotten it previously. I've worked at boba place before so i understand that it is a time consuming drink, but still. Anyways i ended up getting a honey milk tea instead and it was just as good.

Wow I love all that air in my boba cups.

Grinder’s Coffee Bar - Latte and sausage kolache

Still one of the best coffee places in town. Honestly didn't love the sf vanilla latte but like I…read moredid order a sf vanilla latte - are they ever good? The oat latte my friend got was creamy, well balanced and wonderful. We got the eggs, sausage, and cheese taco, chicken gumbo empanada, and the beef empanada and each one was delicious. The breakfast taco really hit the spot. Just right amount of salty, gooey cheese, and meat. Made my day. The empanadas are huge, enough for two people. Another awesome visit.

After having lunch at Loro in Kirby, I had some time to kill before some plans I had later that…read moreday. I hopped on the trust Yelp app to find a coffee shop nearby. Grinder's Coffee Bar came up and it was right across the street so I made my way over. I arrived around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday. I parked in their small complimentary lot and made my way inside. Ambiance (3.5/5): Grinder's is basically two spots in one. When you walk in, there's a small counter where you place your order. And a handful of seats. From there, you wan walk into a more spacious second room that houses a CBD shop. And more seating along with the bathroom. I sat at a couch in the CBD area. While weed isn't my thing, if you're into both weed and coffee, that makes for a nice one-two punch for you. There isn't a ton of seating, less so than most coffee shops. Luckily, since it was a weekday, I didn't have any trouble. I wonder if that's different on the weekends. They also have free WiFi if you'd like to linger and work or study. Service (2.5/5): The menu is a little confusing because they have a menu on the counter and a menu on the wall with different items. I didn't see that there was a menu on the counter until I was about to place an order. They also have some beverages in a cooler that aren't on either menu. Not the best set up. Service wasn't terribly friendly either. Food (N/A): Since I just had lunch prior, no food for me. They have a small, but appetizing number of pastries and small bites for sale if you get the munchies (pun intended). Drinks (3.5/5): I'm not a coffee drinker so take this with a grain of salt. When I go to a coffee shop, I like coffee shops that still have a nice selection of teas and juices. Grinder's has a small number of teas that can be made either hot or iced. I went with one, iced, and sweetened with agave (for a surcharge). I liked it and the price was reasonable. They also had a mocktail of sorts that was available on their seasonal menu, although like most mocktails, overpriced. While not really my vibe, if you're a CBD person, Grinder's will be right up your alley. It's a unique spot and located in a great part of town.

I asked a question and the girl responded to me without turning around or making eye contact - gave me the impression she was annoyed that I was asking a question. There were only two baristas working on a Saturday morning so perhaps they were stressed because it was busy. Coffee was delicious and served with a small chocolate mint. They also serve beer. Variety of pastries. Small parking lot that fills up quickly! There was a line of people outside waiting to get in a few minutes before they opened. They don't open until 9 am which is late for a coffee shop. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cute destination for a casual date or out with a friend.

I love the upper level deck and snagging a cute table overlooking a window. It's definitely a 'one size fits all' that is great for morning work/studying, light afternoon catch up, or a cozy late night vibe. Traditionally, I've seen a lot of people studying during the week while a bit more of a lively feel on weekend evenings. People are very polite but do follow the courtesy of waiting to find a table until after they order, since it can get a little busy. Overall, they are quick with coffee orders with a variety of pastries. Parking is difficult (but it is Montrose!), so anticipate adding a little time to your drive to find a spot. Worth checking out!
