I go to this location quite often as it is near my dance studio (and I enjoy a little treat after dragging myself out of my apartment to willingly move my body for 2 hours). There is free parking in the garage attached to the building. The workers here are always super friendly, though when it gets a little busy you can be waiting for a while. I came in around 8pm one night and despite there only being two other parties waiting in the room, it took almost 10 minutes for my drink to come out. I also want to add that this location tends to run sweet - usually I get my KFT drinks with 30% sugar but this time around, my 30% sugar mango green tea tasted like a 100% sugar drink. The label clearly stated 30% sugar so either their drinks tend to run sweet OR someone made my drink wrong (either way, not great). That's the 1 star off. But otherwise, a solid option. As an added plus, several of the other restaurants nearby (such as Jinya) will actually allow you to take your KFT drinks inside! :) read more

There's a parking garage nearby but keep in mind it fills fast, especially at night or on the weekends. Came with a group of 4, late, on a Thursday night. The servers were very patient with our party and answered every question we had about the menu and customizations. They even put my drink in this specific cup I wanted after I made a comment about it, without even asking. The space is nice and clean, there's also an shelf with board and card games that we used to pass the time since the drinks did take a bit as they were also making pick up orders at the same time. I've been to other Kung Fu Teas in the city and this is one of my favorites as it has a great selection of food places on the same street. Definitely reccomend and will be back soon. read more

My wife and I had stopped by here for a follow up after a disappointing experience at Gen Korean BBQ just around the corner. We debated a few of our options before settling in to our usual items. The place is tucked into lower midtown but definitely is striving for the same vibe as the newer, trendier places off Bellaire. I couldn't care less about how places like this look because I most often grab the drinks to go. Overall, the drinks were okay. They didn't have the flavor or sweetness that we're used to from similar items at the Teahouse, so we were a bit disappointed in them. Actually, service was pretty good for a Kung Fu Tea (I know, surprisingly). I've been to many Kung Fu Teas, the one in Bellaire is probably the worst! My Aunt was yelled at by the manager, so I do have a bad taste in my mouth from any Kung Fu Teas. Since I live so close to this one, I thought we could try it out! Torn between a 3* and 4*. KF is your corporate, basic, Boba tea spot that lacks any personality or distinct touch. All the milk tea is powder based and everything is pretty basic for your "first venture" into Boba drink. It's pretty convenient in location right next to Piola and Jinya; for parking you would need to park in the parking garage or streetside. Obviously all Boba tea is overpriced for what it is and KF is no exception. I wouldn't recommend unless you're already close by or never tried Boba before. It's here, it's fine, it works. read more

The location is next to Gen and Jinya, so this place works as a good dessert spot (to-go) after grabbing a meal at another restaurant in the same building. The good first - the drinks were made well. The boba was cooked right and was chewy as it should have been. Drink-wise, there was no complaints. However, since the review is not just about the food/drink of a spot, but about the overall experience, we have to get to the not so great. 1) First of all, the wait. It seemed like the store was short-staffed and it took about 10 minutes to get my order in (there were 2 parties before me, so it wasn't like the line was huge) and then another 10 minutes to get my drink. I don't blame the staff for this, this is on management to improve. 2) Confusion about the mask policy - there was a sign on the door which asked individuals to wear masks in order to enter the store. However, this wasn't enforced, so not quite sure what the store wants to do. The shop was pretty small, which makes sense since it is in the midtown area. Overall there are 3-4 tables that can seat 2 people comfortably and a bigger table that can seat 4-5 people. Because of this and the acoustics of the place, probably not the best place to hangout as it can feel cramped and loud. I see this place as a more of a "to-go" spot where you grab something and leave. If you were to come to this location, note, there is a parking structure where you can park connected to the shop and the other restaurants. The first and second floors have parking for patrons of the restaurants and the 3rd floor is for 24 hr fitness customers. If you can't find a spot, there's street parking around. It should be free after 6 pm. I wrestled with whether to give 3 or 2 stars on this review and had to settle on 2 because I don't think I'd come back again anytime soon. I came Monday night for their grand opening where it was buy one drink, get one free. A few things I wasn't really fond of: -You can only pick from the four drinks offered as part of the promotion and nothing else -You can't use the Kung Fu app to pay for your order; only cash (so annoying) -You have to check-in on Yelp or facebook before you can order your drink -You have to order large and can't change the size It just seemed like the cashier was being particular about taking my order so I was immediately put off and didn't want my drink but ordered it anyways since I drove about 30 minutes to get it. I ended up ordering a large Kung fu milk tea with boba and was pleasantly surprised that it tasted good. It wasn't as silky as I thought it would be but still a solid drink. Boba was boba; it had a slight perfume taste when I bit into it but I've had better. Parking is right behind the building- luckily, they have a parking garage (free) which makes it easier to park and not drive around aimlessly to find parking. Great selection, very clean, and great boba! You can even order ahead on their app! My personal favorites are their yogurt boba drinks, they're like Yakults but flavored and with tapioca balls. Most of the restaurants nearby allow you to bring their drinks in, which is an added bonus. There's also coffee and coffee-filled "bubbles" for those who aren't fans of tea.
