La La Land curious! Tried this coffee spot when I was in Houston and I'd totally go back. The line was long, but worth the wait. While in line, I noticed the modern space and nice ambiance and decor. I tried their lavender latte and it was delightful! Yummy espresso with the touch of the lavender bloom! Cute sturdy cups with the heart straws!
So I've been a matcha boy for quite some time now... and even though this is an extremely popular place, it's still super lowkey. If you know you know. But La La Land is the best place to pull up and grab a matcha and catch some views. My personal favorite is the Cookies N Dream matcha with both vanilla and strawberry clouds. You can thank me now.
We got the banana matcha latte and strawberry latte. Both had great taste and flavor. I prefer the banana matcha latte - as the combination was great. They have fall sleeves and heart shaped straws which were such a cute addition to our drinks :) Location is central but parking can be tricky. We had to wait for street parking and picked up our order. We ordered online through mobile app for pick up and it was already ready when we dropped by. Very popular location and it was quite a fun spot to look around. Patio seating is available but limited, most people seemed to pick up their drinks and head out.

The matcha was great flavor and quality and the cookies and cream mix was the perfect combination. We also ordered a croissant and it was super soft and fluffy and delicious. We went on a Saturday around lunch time and the line was extremely long and the inside is extremely small and cramped (because it's filled with shelves of merch). The long line meant long wait time for drinks after ordering but it was worth it. Wish they'd open a location in Orlando!

The oat milk pairs perfectly with the matcha and makes it extra smooth. That said, the wait was pretty long; about 20 minutes for one drink and 15" to order. On top of that, the store was crowded and had quite a few flies, which made the experience less enjoyable. If you're looking for a quick grab-and-go spot, this might not be the best choice. Just be prepared for a wait and a packed environment.

Perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the strawberry was sweet. My issues reside with the overall flow of service. The cashiers were very sweet. However I feel the system itself can be improved. It was hard to distinguish who was in line for drinks versus who was waiting. It was also super packed and minimal AC (at least 35 people). There were people inside and outside waiting. My drink took about 23 minutes before it was ready. The milk within the drinks was left sitting on the counter- essentially getting warm as they were batched once orders came in. With knowing how long it'll take before they are ready, pouring the milk closer to the drink being done would help keep the item fresh. Especially when using alternatives like oat milk. A patron suggested adding a digital screen to help people seeing their name if their order was ready. Drinks were left dying on the counter since some people walked off until the estimated time their order would be ready. It's great the business is getting traction, I think there are some logistical factors that could be corrected. I've come here a separate time on a weekday morning and it was also busy. Though I love the matcha I'd probably opt for a slower business or just not coming on the weekends. It was a frustrating experience. Parking was also terrible due to people leaving their cars along the side road by the entrance, causing a lot of traffic and congestion.

Always a good time at La La Land. They had a lot of holiday themed drinks. I tried their Lululemon chai & my friend got the S'mores matcha. Quick service. Only downside with this location is there's majority outdoor seating so when it's cold, it's more of a pass through location

Everything we ordered: -La La Dream Toast (x3) -Banana Cream Top Latte -Caramel French Toast Latte -Milk & Honey Latte -Worlds Best Vanilla Latte -Lululemon Chai Latte -Dirty Chai Latte -Be Fuckin Kind Trucker Hat (x2) Everything was delicious! The drinks were refreshing, we ordered everything iced with oat milk. The food was fresh, and prepared to order. The ambiance in La La Land Kind Cafe is bright, natural, and yellow! The space is nice and also has outdoor seatings with some umbrella coverings. They have superior customer service and they have a standard "love you" policy that they say to all customers before you leave! They serve you with smiling faces and positive, happy energy! If you want to experience genuine joy and kindness, stop by La La Land Kind Cafe!

Banana Crème Top Match Latte: refreshing with a clean, fresh matcha flavor, though I'd give it a 6/10--still good but not extraordinary. The Lala Land Dream Toast: my first experience with avocado toast, and I'd rate it a solid 7/10. The only thing I'd skip next time is the cottage cheese topping. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff made sure to pronounce my name correctly, which I thought was a nice personal touch. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I was truly so excited to finally try La La Land. We stopped by the Montrose location after we grabbed breakfast. The parking situation in the area wasn't great, but we made do. We street parked nearby and walked over. My boyfriend ordered the Keith Lee Latte, and I ordered Matcha Squared Latte. Both drinks were kept with whole milk and ordered the biggest size for both, as well. Luckily it wasn't busy at all when we arrived and didn't have to wait too long to get our drinks. The drinks were a dark, vibrant green, which is very promising. The quality of the cups and straws are great. I loved the cute little heart shape straws. The drinks tasted excellent. Not too sweet, milky, or bitter. I wish I lived near a La La Land because I want to try more of their drinks! read more

I was in Houston for a few days and was looking for a caffeine pick me up one morning when I came across La La Land, which a Houston-based relative told me was known for their cute drinks. It was a Wednesday morning with no line in sight so we thought we could quickly get a drink to go. Oh how naive we were. I went straight to the register and ordered an iced lavender latte, one of their signature drinks. They rung me up and told me where to wait for my drink. From there I saw a row of dozens and dozens of receipts for delivery orders, and a cycle of delivery drivers came in to collect these drinks to go. There really must've been dozens of orders ahead of me because it took over 30 mins for me to get my drink. I suppose if you're local you may already know to expect something like this at this popular coffee shop but I had no idea and there was no warning. Folks would go up to ask when their drink would be ready and the employees would exasperatedly go "If you don't see your name on one of these receipts your drink is NOT ready." I do understand their frustration with getting this question so much but they really should let people know when they're ordering, because this was not evident at all. The drink was fine. I think I would have enjoyed a similar drink at a place I didn't have to wait 30 minutes for. read more

We doordashed our drinks which did arrive fairly promptly! I ordered a Large French Toast Latte with a cloud top and 3 pumps of vanilla. The caffeine definitely hit me that day, but overall the drink just felt like any other iced coffee. I've been to La La Land before and I do love the aesthetic of the locations as they are very cute and vibrant. I do like that the straws are heart shaped and the overall presentation for the drinks/bags. Overall the drink was not bad, It just did not have a wow factor for me to want to come back. I personally also do not consume coffee regularly or often enough to fully compare so take this review with a grain of salt! (if any coffee drinkers want to comment please do!) I don't usually go to La La Land but I finished Pilates and wanted a little drink. Of course the line is long but it's no problem. I ordered the strawberry shortcake latte and the banana cream top latte. The problem is, they gave me matcha in both instead of coffee. I had already waited so long for the drinks and they were slammed so I left. Luckily I enjoy matcha but I'm sure if I didn't, I'd be more upset. The banana one was good but wasn't a fan of the strawberry because it tasted really artificial whereas the banana one was more natural tasting. Also, I noticed the strawberry shortcake matcha latte looked nothing like the photos. I would have had them remake it but I didn't have another 20 minutes to wait. I'm not sure that I would come back to this location which is unfortunate since they're next door to my Pilates studio. I'm just not sure how you get two drinks wrong. read more

This is the epitome of the gen z / Insta look-at-me catered coffee spot. This location is located near the Uchi/Marmo area. Parking is quite tough and the underground parking garage will charge you about a coffee's worth of fees to park there. The staff appear quite disinterested so it's a pretty funny experience ordering here. I got the lavender latte with oat milk; it's alright. It's got lavender flavor but besides that, it's a bit bland and a bit too sweet for $7 (after tax roughly). read more

La la land offers a unique coffee experience, the design of their stores makes you feel like you have escaped into a dream world. They offer some specialty drinks including a La La s'mores latte, La La peppermint mocha latte and a caramel brûlée latte. I enjoyed the classic La La latte with regular milk. A pretty simple, yellow and Instagrammable coffee shop in a really nice area of the city. This La La Land Kind Cafe is located in Montrose in a mini mall with a few stores and restaurants within walking distance. The vibe is fresh and diverse. The service is pretty good and the menu offers quite a few options of hot and cols brews as well as sweet flavored tea options. I went for a simple latte with an extra shot, and it was delicious. I love both locations. We came by after getting brunch nearby. Definitely needed a wake me up after brunch. Similar decor but this location was a bit smaller. Service was quick and friendly. I love the color yellow and cafes...so La La Land Kind Cafe was the perfect place to visit! I absolutely loved the interior! It was the perfect off white/beige color and their iconic yellow. The store had merch on the walls: mugs, cups, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc. Everything was so cute! I got the lavender bloom matcha latte and my bf got the butterfly matcha latte. I think I would've rather enjoyed just the matcha, as the lavender overpowered the matcha taste. However, the drink itself was good and not too sweet! My bf said his drink tastes like the sweet milk left after finishing cereal! I'll have to come back and try their la la matcha latte. The only downside was that you have to park in a pay to park garage and the store itself is pretty small. Considering this being a popular place, it was packed. read more
