My best friend and I took a leap of faith trying this place despite the odd location and lack of noise inside. By far this was one of the worst açaí bowls I have ever had in my entire life. I can say this as a person who eats them non-stop. After the gym, I needed a pick me up, but nothing heavy so I googled "açaí bowl near me" and this location popped up. I parked in the garage and walked in and they weren't busy. The location was very clean and the staff who took care of me was so kind and even referred me to their juice cleanses after I inquired about it. To order your bowl, they gave you a piece of paper where you get to select what you want and I actually thought that was a great idea. I added the typical toppings to me, and included almond butter I think. It took about 5-6 minutes and my bowl was ready. When he gave it to me, I noticed how big the cup was and normally this would excite me, but as an açaí bowl connoisseur, I knew something was up. I sat in the car to eat it and it was absolutely horrible. It was so watery and there were barely any toppings in it. This is my fifth time here in the last two weeks! Their açaí bowls are not only delicious but they use organic and blend it with fresh organic fruits. Most of the stuff they use here is organic and clean. So disappointing my husband and I stop by to get a green juice . It was near closing time . The ladies was in the back cleaning . We can smell fresh bleach as we walk in . My husband and I was there for a good 5 minutes before anyone came to assist us just to be told we could not get a juice because there were closing soon. I visited this smoothie shop for the first time today. While the space itself is nice and the smoothie tasted good, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The employee working was rude and appeared careless in how they handled both the service and the drink preparation. When you're working in a food and beverage environment, especially one that promotes wellness, attitude and cleanliness matter just as much as the product. Bethany has horrible customer service. So inconsiderate of the customer experience. She has a very lack of basically ho-hum and nonchalant attitude. When I came to the register she didn't greet me. When I requested my $0.50 back she put it on the counter without talking to me and she walked away. I'm sure I've made mention of it before but they have these forms you feel and for repeat customers they put it in a location so you don't have to continuously enter your order. they recently stopped laminating them I'm not sure if that's after covid but they stop laminating them and they keep throwing people's orders away. I don't understand why we have to fill it out if they're just going to throw it away in the first place. When I keep asking the question they're just like oh well and really apathetic to that. I am not sure if the staff has a high turnover or if there are other obstacles, but the bowls take forever (like 90 minute forever) to be ready. JuiceWell has become my go to acai bowl fix after a hard morning workout! With covid still going on, I appreciate that they offer hand sanitizer, clean pens, paper sheets to write your order on, disposable gloves, and mask/social distancing enforced precautions at all times. While it does take a good couple mins for them to make each order, you can be sure you're going to get a quality build your own acai bowl to your personal liking. The consistency is thick and creamy every time, the toppings are as fresh as can be, and as a health nut, I really appreciate all the premium toppings they offer. Some of my favorites are spirulina, fresh coconut, chia seeds, goji berries, golden berries, and acai of course. We've also made it a point to try some of their health shots as well when we need a quick boost of nutrients post workout. Our go to is their wheatgrass shots, but we like the quick fix shot as well to boost our immune system. I came here after a pilates class, opting to try it out instead of my usual smoothie place, which is Juiceland. Sad to say that it wasn't the right decision. This place is on Richmond and has a shared parking garage with the other businesses nearby. There is ample parking when I went during lunchtime on a weekday, and it's only a short walk to the front of the entrance. The place is nice and clean with a good amount of seating for people who want to stay and sip or eat their acai bowls. The woman in front was both the server and maker of all the drinks and eats, so I think it was a little overwhelming for her when it started to pick up after I placed my order for a purple rain smoothie. It had banana, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, goji berry, mace, beet, and orange juice. It had taken awhile for my smoothie to come out (understandable), but when it did come out, I wasn't that impressed. It came out a lot more tart than what I expected, and for some reason, it had a strong taste of dirt; not sure if they didn't wash their produce properly, or if it was supposed to have this earthy taste, but I wasn't a fan at all. Wow wow wow!! In fact the only thing that's bad about this place is the fact it's in Houston and I live in San Antonio but as I get to work in Houston often this will have to be my new go to. It's the best Açaí bowl I have ever had. I love the fact that you get to customize your base as opposed to the usual you get what you get and can choose your fruit and liquid they mix with the Açaí - I went with pineapple and banana; apple juice and a hemp protein topped with granola, chia, peanut butter and coconut. The price was fantastic for all the add ons and it's quite a big bow! I was full after finishing it but I had to , it was that good. You can build your own açaí bowl or pitaya bowl using their menu selection. Staff is always friendly and quick. Everything here is simply good and you don't have to feel guilty eating it. One of my favorite drink is the green monkey. It fills you up and it's not watery of any sort. The inside is cute with a wall of sticky note mural. You can write your own sticky note and stick it on the wall. There's are high chairs by the bar area and windows in addition to couches. Cute spot and lots of healthy choices. Parking garage is in the back of the building which wasn't easy to find at first. The cashier was nice and gave me instructions on how to order my bowl. You have to fill out what you want and bring it to cashier to ring it up. The açaí bowls are fresh! It is a little expensive though. I am used to my spot in Florida where they don't charge by every ingredient. It is a set price for the different bowl specials. So while I did enjoy my bowl, I wasn't able to put all the fruits I really wanted on the bowl because they charge per fruit. It would have been a $20 bowl if i had gotten all the toppings I wanted. I ordered a build your own açaí bowl. Everything tasted fresh and refreshing. I like the transparency of the menu and that all ingredients are wholesome with no hidden fillers. Since I regularly make my own açaí bowls at home, I definitely came with a higher expectation than what I got. I thought the portion size was small for the price. I love love love this place. Been going here regularly ever since I found this place shortly after I moved to Houston in 2019. They actually use RIPE spotted bananas! What we created- The Acai bowl with a Mango and Pineapple blend. The twist we added was fresh coconut water. For for topping choices we went crazy and got granola, coconut chips, blueberries, coco nibs, and sweetened it with agave. So refreshing and hit the spot. I have been going to the JuiceWell on Richmond Ave since before Covid and I am very sad that today maybe my last time. We arrived there with my sister around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. There were three people in front of us. We ordered our two pitaya bowls and began waiting inside. We wanted to order some to go bowls but wanted to wait for ours to arrive so that they don't become watery. Around 2:10 we have ordered three to go bowls thinking ours should be out soon. Then we saw others who were after us getting their orders. By 2:30 we asked why we were not getting our orders. We were not given a good answer and were again told they were being prepared. It was 2:40 when we were becoming frustrated with the wait time. The guy at the cashier told us they did the ones they were the same first and ours were different orders. We tried to make sense of how this could be possible when a customers orders before others and then gets their pushed for later because their orders are different! Then the person who was preparing the orders came out with three to go orders and when we asked about our previous two was rude and made a face. That did it for us. Someone came inside who we thought was the manager that the cashier guy started explaining what was going on. This person wanted to take our names and said he knows the owner and will be telling her/him. We told him we don't want any reimbursement or so. All we needed was an apology and explanation why we were delayed more than 1 hour. Then this person says he is the delivery guy of the day. We were stunned why he was then getting involved if he wasn't the manager. At the end of it they got two more orders and showed us a bowl saying one of our orders was done and they called our name and we didn't come to pick it up. It's unbelievable! The excuses they came up with were just nothing we have experienced before. We were sitting inside in front of the cashier and multiple times went to talk to him about our to go order, a piece of lemon cake we bought while waiting etc. To say that they called us and we were not there was total distortion of truth. It was just a simple apology that they so much fought not to say and continued to make up stuff for their lateness and inabilities. We understand how it may get overwhelming sometimes (though it wasn't that busy that day) and always try to be on the side of the workers but there is a limit to our patience when they try to find excuses for their faults putting the blame on the customer. As a customer, we nave never been treated like this anywhere before and will never be back at Juice well again. read more

In my opinion, the best place to get an Acai bowl ($9) in Houston. It did take some time to have them prepare the bowl since they were short staffed, but the taste made up for it! Everything was fresh, colorful, and flavorful! The best part was the texture - more like a sorbet and less like a runny smoothie. The way they do their BYO Acai bowls is done on a sheet of paper, similar to Which Wich, and you check off which ingredients you want in your bowl then proceed to pay at the register. As Juice Well regular, I am pretty disappointed in my experience at the Richmond location. The location in Memorial is superior in my opinion. While I love their pitaya bowls, I feel like I totally got ripped off today. Usually I receive a generous amount of pitaya blend in my bowl, but today it was hardly filled to the half way point. Way too many toppings to compensate. I've also noticed that when I get regular smoothies from this location they are very inconsistent in taste even when it's the same smoothie.
