I usually love Smoothie King, in my opinion they have some of the best Acai bowls - specifically their PB Swizzle, which is what I typically get when I go there. This review isn't so much about the taste of the bowl, as much as it is the presentation of the bowl, and the service in general. I went to SK in Kirby through their drive thru, the middle of last week and ordered the PB Swizzle only to receive a bowl that was poorly made and with a heaping mess of peanut butter on top - the bowl was handed to me without a bag, however, I did get a spoon. Service that day was lackluster. A couple of days later I went back again and ordered the same thing, letting them know about my last experience and how the bowl was served to me. This time a different young man was at the window, and he apologized for the poor service I received and ensured me he would resolve the matter by creating a great bowl with proper drizzle. He did just that, the bowl was perfectly made, no peanut butter mountain, he gave me the drizzle I wanted and the bowl was done right. He served it to me in a bag and wished me a blessed day which put SK back in good graces with me again. I wish I had asked for his name because he exemplified customer service to the max. Thank you! Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at the new toast offerings! I had to try at least two of them. ‍ Together about 27 grams of protein. Service was quick to order, but the delivery was a bit slow. The ambiance was initially quiet for the drive thru. But got busy. So...the Signature Avocado and Egg toast has a little spice to it from the seasoning sprinkled on the top. Tasty but I still wanted a little salt. This was also served warm. I come to this location during my lunch breaks. It's convenient. The drive thru line can get long especially during lunch. But even when there's a long line, it moves pretty quickly. I just hate how the drive thru line is, at times, the line will spill out into the streets which is annoying but whatever lol. I never been in the inside so I can't provide any information on it but for the looks, it seems very clean. I usually order The Shedder-Vanilla, Yogurt Delight, or whatever mood I'm in. Majority of the time I end up adding Ostrim Sweet and Spicy protein stick which is so good and yummy or I'll get the Larry's cookie. Those are my two favorite non smoothie items. I live near this location and patronize this business 3-5 times per week. Recently, they have had an issue with the rewards being electronically deducted when paying through the app. My issue is regarding the lack of communication and the lack of effort to provide good customer service and resolve concerns. I have several rewards including the $2.00 rewards, $1.00 off, etc. I am aware that the $1.00 off coupon and $2.00 of coupon can be combined however, I was told that since there is a system error, they could not manually combine any coupons. The employee at the drive-thru called Jalisa, the manager, who confirmed that they could only apply the $1.00 off coupon. Also, during a visit they failed to communicate that rewards could not be deducted via electronic payment. I was charged full price for my order although I had my reward turned on in the app. When I received the receipt, I questioned the charge and the employee informed me that there was a system issue and rewards were not being deducted. He stated that it was too late since I had paid and he couldn't do anything about it. He stated that I should have told him before paying, as if I am suppose to know that their system was not functioning properly. It is unfortunate that there was no effort to resolve my concerns. The staff is diverse and friendly. Although there is often a line (med center workers commuting no doubt) you are usually served very quickly. This 1 star review is because of the POOR customer service I received from a female by the name of Christian who was working at the drive through on Thursday October 4th at 4:47 pm. The greeting I got from her at the drive through speaker was: "Smoothie King" I had to pause for a minute, that caught me off guard. Her tone was very rude as if I was bothering her. I concluded my order by asking for the smoothie in an extra cup (because of the new cups, the smoothie melts extremely fast) When I got to the window there was a guy who gave me my total and I paid. I noticed on my receipt that I was charged $0.25 cent for the extra cup. At no point was I ever informed that I would be charged for the extra empty cup. The guy returned to the window with the 20 ounce smoothie that I ordered and an additional smaller cup (kid size) filled with smoothie as well. I informed him that wasn't what I asked for, I wanted an additional empty 20 ounce cup (to keep the smoothie from melting) At this point I also questioned the extra $0.25 cent I was charged. I requested to be refunded for the $0.25 cent thinking It was for the additional smoothie which I never asked for. At this point Christian came to the window. I questioned her about the charge and handed her my receipt. She claimed It was for the empty cup. How could that be true when the guy was originally giving me 2 smoothies (one in a 20 ounce cup and one in a kid cup) I told her if that's the case then give me the other smoothie back. She rudely replied "well give me that cup back" I declined. She threw my receipt on the ground. This is not at all about the $0.25 cent, this is about the principle. This could have all been prevented if Christian had listened to and confirmed what I was asking for and advised me of the charge. This Smoothie King is almost dangerously convenient for me because it's right across the street from my apartment and really close to the med center. For anyone who's never been to a Smoothie King, it's comparable to a Jamba Juice, maybe a little pricier. It's got an extensive menu of smoothies and meal replacements as well as health bars and the like. You can add multi vitamins, protein, etc for an extra charge. My favorite is the Angel Food smoothie which is a blend of banana and strawberry. On Fridays they run specials where you can get a medium smoothie for $5. I've never had a problem with this location or any location actually. The service is pretty quick and they're never too busy. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because parking is suuuuper limited so you basically have to use the drive thru and because it's right in front of a sketchy motel read more

Came in through the drive thru around 3:15 and ordered a large and a medium gladiator smoothie. When I received my smoothies, I got a medium and a small and had already paid. I asked them can they please fix the order because I wanted a large and medium. The employee took the small smoothie put it in the large cup and blended it with ice and gave it back. It tasted like pure ice. I can taste the differences in the smoothies because I ordered them with the same exact same ingredients, the only difference was their sizes.
