Don't waste your money here. Every time I try to give this place another shot I get reminded why this place is always empty. I placed an online order and when I received my smoothie I could tell that it wasn't made how I ordered it, it was missing several ingredients. I pointed this out to the woman working and she was very rude and insisted she made it correctly. Regardless of the missing ingredients, the smoothie tasted weird and was not enjoyable. read more

The roomie and I were biking along the bayou and through the city so we wanted to gran a Smoothie somewhere and saw this place on Yelp. We headed over but couldn't see it so had to call them and was told they were located in the underground tunnels. No problem, just had to carry out bikes down a flight of stairs and was able to find the place. I really like peanut butter so there was a protein shake called PB and J which had peanut butter in it with some berries so that what I ordered. My roomiengot the açai bowl and seemed to like his selection. I really enjoyed mine and they didn't hold back on the peanut butter as I watched her out three small scoops into the blender. Very good tasting smoothies that quenched the craving for something cold and I'd definitely come back again. We saw a sign at the cashier register for an app so we downloaded it and received $3 off on each of our order. Score! read more

Smoothies, health food bars and snacks, and jugs of powdered protein. It seems like an odd combination, when I write it down, but that is what this place is about. This is an excellent place to get a tasty smoothie with many different ingredients from friendly helpful and interesting folks. That complete sums up the experience. Highly recommended! I come here fairly frequently, many times in the morning after parking my car in the McKinney parking garage that is right above the McKinney Marketplace where this Smoothie Factory is located. My favorite is the PB Powerhouse, which is probably too many calories to meet any new Years resolutions for health, unless you are trying to bulk up (as it is advertised for bulking up), but I just can't drink enough of that peanut buttery goodness! I want to order a large every time, but since my hand to mouth habits have already bulked up my middle, I try to limit the size. I've had some of the other smoothies and many of the extra "shots" There have been times in the afternoon when that "energy shot" was the only thing that kept me awake through hours of meetings discussing how we might need more meetings to discuss how things are going at work. This place is also open later than the rest of the restaurants in the McKinney Tunnel. So when you are looking for something to fill that hole left in your tummy because you couldn't get away long enough to eat a decent lunch, you can walk around and find some sandwich store that's still open, or you grab a quick pick me up from the Smoothie Factory. That last thing I'll say about them is that they have great customer service. If they make the smoothie wrong, they will remake it for you. If you have read this far and didn't just go there after the first paragraph, then you are taking too long to make a decision to get one. Just go for it :-) read more

This place was mysteriously closed for a longtime and then suddenly reopened. I've been going since it reopened and I must say, Smoothie Factory tastes SO much better than Smoothie King or even possibly Jamba Juice (my old favorite)! Yeah it's more expensive but they truly use fresh ingredients to make everything which makes it worth it. I also like the range of their menu items. Everything from a light and refreshing cold pressed juice (made in a juicer) to protein smoothies for those wanting to bulk up, they have you covered. My ultimate favorite is the mighty green avocado smoothie they have advertised. The creamy avocado flavor really shines through with the other flavors and is a great afternoon or breakfast pick me up. They also sell wheatgrass shots here for those who are into that. The girls that work here are really sweet too. Make sure you sign up for their rewards with your phone number so you can get $5 off once you spend $50, which is basically buy 9 drinks get 1 free. read more

So the sign on the wall says $4.49 for a 2 oz. wheatgrass shot. There's another sign saying $1 for a 1 oz. shot after 3:00 because of Happy Hour. I order a 2 oz., expecting to pay $4.49, but hoping it might be $2. I was wrong. It was $7.03. When I questioned the bill, the guy says, "It's in the machine that way, there's nothing I can do." Yelp needs a No Stars Rating... Awful...The person on staff feigned ignorance as I stood there watching her wash the same blender for 5 min. After which, she took my order and the only 2 words she spoke were "what size"...which is fine...especially considering it was 3:00 in the afternoon. I just wasn't expecting for my shake to be ready 15 minutes later, after she helped 4 other folks that walked in after me. Oh, and my shake apparently was ready much sooner...it just couldn't pour itself into a cup. The "manager" asked how she could help, but I'm not sure how she could have as she mentioned that she was in the back sleeping. Despite all of that, I so wanted the shake to taste good...but the disappointment continues... read more

I can't believe this place has such good reviews. Me and five co-workers decided to take a break and get some smoothies here. As soon as we walked in, the gentleman behind the counter acted like we were purposely making his life difficult. Between the sighing and muttering about how he "couldn't believe" we were doing this to him, it was obvious he was not happy we were there. After he took our orders, it took him over half an hour to make our smoothies. As we watched him prepare them, we noticed him repeatedly licking his fingers, which is DISGUSTING. The smoothies themselves were average, nothing special. I couldn't finish mine because every time I took a sip, I pictured the employee licking his fingers then continuing to make the smoothies. In addition, the smoothie was watered down, not very flavorful, kind of an odd texture. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

This location seems to randomly close early, despite advertising a 3-5pm happy hour, and sometimes, don't open at all. They've had the gates locked for the last 4-5 days with no signs or explanations. When they are open, the service is slow (often only one employee there), and they often run out of pretty vital ingredients to make a protein shakes, including some of their most popular protein powders, for weeks at a time! They also tend to run out of peanut butter and bananas, although these are usually replenished in a day or two. They do offer a rewards program, but only one of the cashiers seems to know about it, and he seems to also work at Ragin Cajun and My Fit Foods, so you never know who you might get. read more

Sometimes I like to have meal replacements and although I know some of the selections at smoothie king are full of sugar, I still like some of their healthier smoothie versions. You can pretty much expect the same quality of smoothie at any location. My go to is the slim and trim strawberry and I always enjoy it. Good smoothie, convenient drive thru, and great customer service. You cant go wrong not to mention the $5 fridays. You can order a medium smoothie for a whopping $5!
