Great service. We order online or on the app and then pickup in store. The nice employees have had our order ready as fast as 30 minutes after placing in the app. I may have had to wait a few minutes while they finished pulling the order, but that was really fast! Sometimes they tell me when I am picking up that a meal was out of stock. Then I can choose to pick out a substitute or just leave it off my order. It comes with a cooling Raita that is a perfect complement to the entree and basmati rice. And so many choices - Wagyu Fajita Bowl, Lemon Roasted Salmon, Korean BBQ Meatballs, Steak Street Tacos, and so many other yummy options. I hadn't been to Snap in so long that I had forgotten how good it is and that I had a credit on my account :) I love how the menu changes often and that there's a nice variety of seafood, veggies, pasta, salads, etc. and everything is actually interesting and tasty. My favorite is the vegetarian lasagna because it's tasty and filling. I also love the way the salmon dishes are prepared. Everything tastes fresh, healthy and relatively filling. I will say that the small portions are pretty small. I suggest either pairing a small entrée with a soup or little salad or just going with the larger size or you might still be hungry. Tonight I had the chili salmon with Thai rice and it was delicious. I got a few things for tomorrow (egg white scramble with goat cheese and pasta dish) as well as a few juices. Looking forward to enjoying them at the office. I would definitely sign up for the rewards card because they are good about benefits. Luckily for me most of my go to favorite dishes are still on the menu. The food prep of the meals lack consistency sometimes. On a past visit there were 2 whole cloves of garlic in my chicken butternut macaroni. I miss the salad bar. It was the cheapest salad in town for the no protein option. The app needs improvement. Most of the special deals are for online orders. The online order system doesn't have the correct inventory syncing with the stores. I had one promo code expired before the end of business. As an IT professional I think the programming was done in India and on their local time which is 10-11 hrs ahead depending on daylight savings. read more

I was out of town over the weekend and didn't have any time to make lunch on Monday, and I happen to be on a 6 week nutrition challenge. They even let you set a time you would like to pick-up throughout the day! I popped in, showed them my confirmation/gave them my name, and my meals were packaged in a bag in the fridge area with a fork ready to go! Nothing else to it! The restaurant itself had a huge refrigerated area with a ton of stuff to choose from! If you want to dine-in, pick up a meal and pop it in the microwave on the spot! The restaurant is clean, nicely lit and super modern and bright! I opted to try: *Spaghetti Turkey Bolognese - yum yum yum!!! I love spaghetti and this one did not disappoint! You cannot tell it's made with turkey or brown rice spaghetti. This dish was delicious and satisfied my carb/spaghetti craving! Portion sizes are a bit smaller, but I like how they portion control for you! I was a good full and got lots of protein (19g) while at it! Probably not the best option if you're going low carb, but that's the fantastic thing, they have lifestyle options for all sorts of dietary restrictions! Only 390 calories!! Exactly the meal size I needed to keep under my calorie restriction! *Naked Beef - I needed something with zero carbs for dinner and this was the option I chose! The beef didn't turn dry and overcooked in the oven, when you heat it up per instructions - it was actually really tender and tasty! It was served with a delicious cauliflower and some green beans! It was a good post workout option and I can't wait to try the Naked Chicken as well! And 43g of protein = winning!!! 390 calories! *Spicy Dan Dan Noodles - I'm really loving this brown rice spaghetti! Can't taste any difference from regular noodles! This dish was another really good one in terms of flavor! With a mixture of Shiitake Mushroom, Napa Cabbage, Red Bell Pepper, Carrot, Gluten Free Tamari, Shallot, Cashew, Green Onion, Tahini, Olive Oil, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic, Organic Coconut Palm Sugar, Ginger, Sesame Oil, Red Pepper Flake, Sea Salt, Ground Black Pepper, Star Anise, Cinnamon - you can tell the flavors are a mix of lots of ingredients. It wasn't quite like normal Dan Dan noodles but they're pretty good for a healthier option. Healthier but still one of the dishes higher in carbs and fat.. Overall, I loved all 3 dishes I bought and they have discount codes for first time customers! I like that they portion control everything for you so you don't overeat. I can see how people think the portions are small and that they are still hungry - just depends on what your nutritional goals are. I think a lot of us end up eating more than our bodies actually need. I was surprised how good everything tasted, I always associated eating healthy healthy with bland foods. Though I have cooked some amazing healthy dishes at home, this is another option when I'm running around and can't get to meal prepping for the day/night/week. I've used snap kitchen on and off for years and just recently started buying meals at their store again. Last Tuesday I bought three breakfast items. The next day I went to eat my Egg bites and they were moldy. I tried calling their customer service line twice to complain and both times they disconnected the call. I also tried calling their store phone number which is no longer in service and I also emailed them with no response. Obviously the staff doesn't check the expiration dates on their products and their customer service seems to be non existent. It's a shame because the quality of their food and selection use to be really good. Now most of it has been just ok and they have nowhere near the selection they had before. read more

Not surprised to see 7 of the most recent 8 reviews, 8 of 9 with this one, as ONE STAR. This is my first dive into meal delivery service. Here are/were my gripes: 1- They only deliver once a week; 2- I wondered on their FB page how the meails (2x a day) could be fresh for a full week? No response. 3- They send the food on a SAT eve, and it is delivered on a MON, already 2-3 days old, when it arrives, at my neighbor's house I should add? Not sure if that mixup is their fault; 4- The meals were quite tasty, yes, they were good! 5- BUT, I only had like 8 hours from receipt of the food to decide if I wanted to order another entire week of food, that's not enough time, especially after waiting some 2.5 weeks for my first order. 6- AFTER a few days I noticed an 'eat by' date on each package and wouldn't you know it, the dates were three days from delivery, so, 5 out of 12 meals simply could not be fresh. 7- I complained. They said they were sorry. That's it, nothing else. 8- I told them I could not communicate with them directly from their site, no phone, no email, no contact us link. They said, there was some other sneakily labeled way to get in touch, discouraging all but the slueths among us from writing to them. 9- After initially liking the food and before I figured out the "eat by" date downer, I ordered up food for the third week. They failed to give me the promised discount. I wrote to them on FB and they said the discount was only for three weeks not three orders, but, made the adjustment anyhow; 10- When I found the 'eat by' date fiasco, I went to cancel my next order and wouldn't you know it, not possible, not enough time, even though allegedly I could CHANGE my order until midnight that night. In conclusion, the food is good. The food will expire on your. They are allegedly in business for 10 years? BUT, still cannot get the whole 'customer friendly' part of this service business. Stay away if you expect customer service OR fresh food... On to my next delivery service. read more

I usually stop here before I fo to work if I haven't made a lunch. The options by my job are not good healthy options, mostly fast food. It doesn't matter if I am running late, I will stop here to grab me a healthy breakfast and lunch. The associates are always nice. Usually, I am the only customer there since I stop by right when they open. They do not mind having a conversation and suggesting things for me to try. I have a few favorite entrees now. Horrible customer service and below average meals. Website is misleading and indicated under FAQ that meals are good for 4-7 days. My meals arrived and they expired within 3 days. Called and asked to speak with a supervisor and had to wait for a phone call back as no supervisor could be reached directly!! A week later, still no call and my next package was due to arrive. Package was delivered to someone else's address and she was nice enough to deliver to my home, but package was damaged and same issue with expiration dates. Again, I called and couldn't speak with a supervisor. I was told this issue needed to be taken up with the mail carrier. I asked to receive a phone call (still hadn't received one from a week ago) from a supervisor and was replied to by email. After a glutenous holiday feast and several indulgent meals since then I was ready to get some healthy nutritional food in my system. This Snap Kitchen makes salads to order and has a nice area to dine that is much larger than most other Snap Kitchens. The store was well stocked with juices, waters, entrees and snacks. In the area for a meeting and wanting to eat healthily, I called up my handy-dandy Yelp app and found Snap Kitchen was nearby. The location is a bit of a challenge to get into and out of due to all the traffic at the corner of Kirby and Richmond. The place itself is kind of like a mini grocery store with a selection of prepared foods and an area to order fresh made-to-order salads-either one of theirs or a make-your-own. You bring your food up to a cashier and take it with you or eat there in a small area with tables and microwaves. I chose to make my own salad-with lots of veggies, chicken, avocado and chili agave dressing. The salad was huge and everything was very fresh and tasty, and I seriously loved the dressing (tasty and a bit of spice). I would stop by again if in the area and it was convenient. I contacted them way before my order even shipped asking them to please move my order to the following week due to the fact that I had to go out of town to deal with a family medical emergency. Things happen in life and they are stressful enough to deal with. I did not want a box full of food to be left to rot in front of my door in Houston's summer heat for 5 days. So walking into it, I had reservations about going into what looked like a restaurant but being pointed to a grocery store style open fridge with prepackaged food almost like tv dinner style. But once I was educated that the food is packaged for portion control and theres a microwave in the space- I warmed up a little. The food is expensive. I got a turkey sausage wrap and a quinoa pudding cup for $12.86. The food is tasty tasty. I could see how someone could easily break the bank on this place. The reward card is buy $500 worth of food get $20 back. When I raised my eyebrows, the cashier said its easy to do here- after he rang up my food I can see how! I would go there for a snack or juice/smoothie. I wouldnt get a whole meal there unless you are willing to spend alot and be hungry an hour later.
