We had a party of 14 tonight (6 kids) and this place was a complete home run. We had the extreme pleasure of having Rudy as our server tonight and his rapport and menu knowledge made us feel like royalty. His table side manor is nothing short of a training course for servers everywhere. The food was breathtaking from apps (we tried pretty much all of them) to entrees (the chicken sandwich is top notch). This is a must visit and if you're lucky enough to get Rudy you're sure to have a 5 star night. read more

They have a fabulous brunch menu and great starters like grilled artichoke, wild boar meatballs and crab cakes that are second to none. This place is within walking distance of home so we gave it a try. The food was decent, but I didn't like that it is a dirt floor in part of the eating areas. It was pretty crowded so we didn't have the option of sitting on the other side. Overall it was a nice atmosphere and we will probably go back. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The worst service I have experienced. The tables were absolutely disgusting. Took 15 minutes for a waiter to even come by and acknowledge us while there were a bunch of waiters that were just standing around talking doing nothing. One even ignored us as we waved her down. Then it took 20 minutes between each drink to be brought. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. No one cares and everything is disgustingly dirty. Also the food is awful. read more

Everything was mediocre. The food as well as the service. I arrived during Happy Hour but wasn't informed until AFTER my bill arrived, that the Happy Drink prices listed online were no longer valid. After requesting to speak with a manager and explaining the situation twice, the prices were finally honored; being that it was an obvious error on the company's behalf. Between the slow service and inconvenience of having to repeat my discrepancy, I won't be returning. read more

Went to Rustic for my husband's birthday. It was the first time for us... it was not busy, by any means, so you would think that we would've had great service... we were terribly disappointed. It took 30 minutes (a bottle of wine) before our drinks came out. Next, we ordered and the waiter convinced us to get their game day appetizers, which included chips and queso. The chips had an unbearable greasy after taste. When we asked if they had a different kind of chip, they didn't ask us what was wrong, they just said no... next our main entree's came and our appetizers were still on the table (we already asked it to be cleared from our other waiter). The serving waitress looked at us like, "where am I supposed to set this?". We then cleared the table for them before the main waiter came by to clear the table. When they set our food down (Ribeye and pork chop) they didn't give us plates or silverware. We then asked a manager for help getting our plates and silverware for our ribeye and pork chops, she also did not give us the right silverware to cut up our meats. If we could've given a 0 for review, we definitely would've.. so disappointed, especially because we don't go out often during Covid. Also, during this horrid experience, we didn't get an apology for our bad service from the waiter or the manager. This has to be one of the worst dining experiences we have experienced. read more

The wait time to get a table was an hour. We tried to be understanding but there is no actual seating outside so it made us impatient. Waitress took long periods of time before checking on us. She would only take one drink order again time. We had to track her down because I guess the button on the table for service wasn't working. The food was great! Went into the Rustic after passing it many times, especially with the smells of brisket and grade A meat permeating to the highway; and decided to try the brunch menu, which provides a fully expansive selection of foods. The country baked eggs were delicious - especially if you order a side of brisket to pair like I did - as was the French toast topped with the fresh rosemary served on the plate. Every item that came on the menu was delicious, homemade, fresh, and delightful. Our server Eavin was also courteous and attentive, often checking up despite the busy hour. The bar is fully stocked, and the coffee and lemonade are both fresh made daily, so while we had a short wait, it was more than worth it. read more

This had to be the worst service I've ever received in my life. We arrived at 8:48pm. After being seated we were not told how the service device works which is placed on your table after seating. The button was on green hmm not sure what that meant. But I remember seeing something about it on yelp. So there we are waiting on a server. No one arrives. I asked the hostess what was the status and she was shocked no one served us so she yet immediately went to locate my server. Another 10 minutes later the servers and manager come rushing out of the kitchen and they're are all going back and forth in the center of the restaurant. This went on long enough to draw attention throughout the restaurant and still no server. My boyfriend then walked over to the group and asked for the manager and the manager said that's him. He told him we were waiting for almost 30 minutes for a server he apologized and comped an appetizer crab cakes with no sauce they ran out of course. Finally we got a server, Marguerite! She was nothing more than kind and amazing. She said she was just assigned to the table wow 35 minutes later. The food was amazing. The drinks were nice and there was a nice atmosphere. Great vibes. I'd definitely go back. I'm assuming it was a bad night not sure what the arguing was about in the huddle but hopefully going forward they'll have better communication/service. read more

Been here a few times. First two times were awesome. Delicious food, good service. The last two...never going back again. Service is horrible. The first terrible experience, we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks. The food got there before the drinks!!! We waited so long, in part, because the drinks were delivered to the wrong table. When the waitress realized it, she picked the drinks up off the other table and brought them to us. Then seemed annoyed that we wanted new drinks that had melted ice cubes and had been sitting at another table for at least 15 minutes. Ordinarily, this would be unacceptable, but in the time of Covid...it is just stupid. That night, we got that drunk comped. Decided to try again tonight. Again, waited 40 minutes for a drink and a bottle of wine. The waitress kept saying they were "working on it" and they were "getting it from the back". We had to change our order multiple times because they never had what we ordered, only something (significantly) more expensive. Complete BS. Even the manager was worthless. The worst part...after being told the drinks would be "taken care of", we got a bill for the full amount. And, not surprising, couldn't get anyone to come fix it in a timely manner. I don't know how this place is so popular. Not worth the money. read more

Our waitress told us about a promotion management was doing where if a customer gave the rustic a 5 star review on yelp and mentioned their name, the server would be entered in a draw to win $100... My first experience at The Rustic was phenomenal! The vibe is very relaxing with live music making it even better. Me and my friends ordered drinks, appetizers, and our entree; all came out in great timing and our server Evony made our first experience extremely welcoming. She knows the menu and answered all our questions with no hesitation. Jorge Miranda, the kitchen manager was very hospitable and genuinely cared about our experience as guests. Went there for a business meal with my boss, we work in the area but dressed business casual, I had jeans and a collared shirt, he was in slacks, dress shirt no tie. Both professionals who just wanted to eat based on a recommendation. We were sat at a table near a walking aisle, the restaurant was 50% full perhaps. No server greeted us after 10 minutes and I then politely asked the hostess for a server. It looks like a hostess or manager with a headset greeted us and took our order (she was polite and friendly) We got our drinks and food to go as my boss had a flight in a couple of hours. We were 45 to an hour+ minutes there with one drink and one course to go meals. We asked for the check early, no server ever came back for us to pay (We asked other servers and pressed the buzzer device as told). We grabbed another waiter from another section, he offered to cash us out. My boss had a corporate card he uses all over the world (and in Houston often), the waiter said it wasn't accepted because it was international. I paid with my card. Beautiful place and the food was actually good, really bad service ( I appreciate those that came to help when asked). I've managed and led customer service teams before switching to engineering so I understand the industry good and bad, won't be back, unfortunately. read more

Today was my first time at the rustic I didn't have many expectations but a friend of mine told me she really wanted to try it out and it exceeded my expectations! Cory was my waiter And was extremely informative from the second he greeted us. He Explained to us that steak was their specialty but everything on the menu was a hit! This spot has awful food. We came here with high hopes for a fun Father's Day, but unfortunately that was not the case. The salad barely had any dressing, the hot chicken and cheese sandwich was soggy, the "filet" (if you want to call it that) was basically a small piece of burger meat, and on top of that the shells and cheese were underdone (the noodles were hard). Today my family and I decided to dine out here. It was my cousin birthday and this was the perfect place for her to have a good time. This was definitely her scene. Well after calling and putting our name on the list before 7pm we didn't sit down until almost 10pm. The hostess (I'm assuming was a manager because she had a clear mouth piece on) was rude. Luckily we were calm and tried to deescalate her rudeness. Before sitting My grandmother, who's a diabetic, started to feel ill after waiting so long and we asked could she bring something out or if we could order something quick to help her feel better. She told us no and that we would have to call it in. Glad to know they don't care about people getting sick on their property. Once we actually get seated a table we thought would be sit together was split after the party before us left and we were told we had to split our group and if we talked from table to table we would be kicked out. I don't want to scream discrimination but I definitely saw other tables doing this. After this I don't know if I would ever want to come back after how my family and I were treated. I guess covid changed the moral and treatment of paying customers. I'm only giving this 2 stars because Ben represented good customer service and made me consider not hating this place forever. read more

Server was very attentive & took care of everything as well as they could. I tipped her very well, but when we had an issue with our food we asked for a manager & she brought the kitchen manager out to see what exactly the issue was. But, to be honest I just didn't want to say anything cause she really didn't seem like the nicest person to me. Her tone of voice was very condescending & snarky like we didn't know what we were talking about. If I barely took 2 bites of my food & say there's an issue then how would I not know what I'm saying? read more
