I have been on the MKT bike trail since before the pandemic when these were just warehouses and then watched the renovations during the pandemic and during the worst of it when everything was empty, I wasn't sure if they were going to make it but in the last few years I've been riding my bike and the whole area is a fun place to stop by now. This was the first time I had a chance to go in and have dinner without riding my bike though so I didn't realize just how bad the parking is there so if you live in the neighborhood, just walk there and make your life easier! I decided to get their burger wrap which was pretty good but I felt the burger part could have been cooked a little more to my liking. I tried to keep it at least somewhat healthy and got the salad instead of fries which was acceptable. Highline Park is a solid bar to catch whatever game is on! Located in MKT Heights, my friends and I came here to cheer on the Houston Cougars in March Madness. While UH didn't get the outcome we were expecting, Highline Park made sure we had a great time regardless! We loved how they have plenty of parking, drink specials, and honestly pretty good bar food! Their french fries and ranch are enough to get me to come back! Don't sleep on their Philly cheesesteak egg rolls too! Wash down their food with a bucket of beer or a cocktail, and you're guaranteed to have a fun time here. The only slight hiccup here was that when they're busy, service is definitely on the slower side. We felt bad that they were understaffed, and they only had 1 waitress covering the entire inside. I've been to MKT market a few times and High line Park is my favorite place so far. The inside is very cute but since the weather was nice we decided to hangout on the patio. The outdoor seating is comfy with a causal atmosphere. I forgot to take a picture, but they offer specials on most days throughout the week, we came on a day that offer select half priced appetizers. We had the brussel sprouts, mozzarella sticks, onion ring tower and philly cheese steak egg rolls. They were all great but my favorite was the cheesesteak egg rolls. The espresso martini was also good (and strong) and the high line burger wass cooked perfectly and not at all dry. This is definitely a great option for a group hang or happy hour read more

Love the location at MKT with a great patio. Vibe is always good too for watching sports - have come here before to watch soccer. Service was pretty good today for lunch. Food itself was just okay - I got the Buffalo chicken wrap which was pretty soaked in sauce which is not my preference. Sweet potato fries were a dollar extra and not too bad. Guinness had nice head but flavor was slightly off. Margarita was good but of the ones we had - some came with lime and some without which was a little inconsistent. Highline Park is a VIBE. I'm a member of Bad Gals Walk Club that meets at 6:30 on Wednesday nights outside of this restaurant. When we're done, we all get tables at Highline park to eat, drink, and play bingo. It is SO much fun! I love that you're able to sit where you choose and don't have a set waitress. The staff is constantly walking around to check on you and clear your table/refill your drink. I try something different each time I go, and I haven't had anything that I don't like yet. So far I've had the quesadilla, the turkey club, and the Cali burger. I would eat all of it again, but the Cali burger has been my favorite. My friends and I always start with the champagne brussels sprouts and an order of chips and guacamole. Highline park has some of the best guacamole I've ever had. It tastes so fresh and is perfect for a post walk snack. We always sit on the patio because it's nice and covered. Bingo is free to play, and the prizes are really good. They increase in value with each round. There's multiple TV screens that show the numbers as they're being called, and you can hear the caller from anywhere in the restaurant. Went after a walk club that meets at high line park on Wednesdays. The walk club then heads over for bingo. Bingo was very fun! Lots of rounds and lots of prizes you can definitely use- gift cards to target, Amazon, etc. The TV keeps track of which numbers get called. Pick your own seat type of vibe. Once you're at a table, there's a QR code where you can order and start a tab online. Pretty nifty. There's some discounts on the online tab as well, we got some whiskey sodas for about $3! Drinks were pretty ok, nothing special but also not the worst. Ordered the shrimp + fries combo and was a pretty decent portion for the price. Lots of extra sauce options too. Five stars is a rarity for me. But the guys over at Highline got the job done. Popped in for a study date on Labor Day. Monday they have $8 frozens and $11 salads and wraps. Sat outside because it was breezy. The frozé was so good I had 2. The wrap was good for $11. The brownie oh man! So good. All sports were showing and good wifi. Came here to enjoy my Yelp friends for HH, and we had a nice time trying this place. My Yelp friend wanted something easy in the heights. It's located in the huge MKT. Ample parking surrounding most of the restaurants and shops. Service - was great. He was kind and offered excellent service, hence the 4 stars worth. Even the food runners and bartenders were quick. My friends enjoyed the bar a bit before I got there. But once I arrived and ordered my drink, we moved to a 5 high top table instead. Glad we came during HH, so the place was pretty empty, leading to quick and easy service. Food - I shared the onion stack with my friend. It's sounds more intimidating than it is. Comes with maybe 6 O rings. These were fine. And I had an order of Moz sticks. Wow, these are on steroids. The 3 strips are huge! Could only get through half. Great HH prices. I visited this place on a Tuesday night with a large group. They offer Tuesday specials, so most of us ordered the $8 burger and fries. The burger was pretty standard but classically good. Despite our large party, the service was excellent, and there were plenty of seats available. Although we sat outside, we were well taken care of, and the large fans did a great job of mitigating the heat and humidity. Came out for HH and to meet up some friends over in the Heights. We wanted to try a new place, and something that looked fun and inviting, and after scouring our trusty Yelp, found this little gem. They also had some great music playing when I entered. I took a seat at the bar and waited for the crew to arrive, in which I was greeted by Matt, the bartender. Of course we all know that I love a good espresso martini, so before he even put the menu all the way down, and I saw it, I called it. He asked if I'd like a regular or pistachio, in which I was intrigued because there are a ton of spins you can put on an espresso martini, but Matt's face was saying it all, so that is what we went with! When I TELL YOU!!!! MATT, that martini topped the cake because it was by far one of my favorites I've ever had! It was so good, that when 2 more of the crew showed up, they ordered it too!!! Although, one of them ordered it with tequila instead of vodka, and she loved it! OK, now to the food, bc I am too excited for that martini! It was HH so we got 2 orders of the mozz sticks and some chips and queso. The flavors are definitely there for these apps, but they were cold : / The queso flavor was my jam for sure, and we ate it bc we were hungry, but if it were hot, it would be off the charts, and same for the sticks! The mozz sticks, were breaded and seasoned deliciously and the spicy marinara it came with was a surprising yet good bite, but when you order mozz sticks, you need that cheese pull. I've met friends here a couple times for drinks before heading out to a nearby dinner or workout. The time I sat at the bar top, the bartender was really helpful in navigating the beers on tap, quick with a pour, and checked on me regularly. Drink prices were in line with a sports bar, and they have a ton of beer options. (Spirits and cocktails are available too, but I just ordered beer) The time we sat on the outdoor patio, we used the QR code app which was convenient and fast. You select your drink, the waiter shows up promptly with your order, and you pay on the app when you're ready to leave so there's no time wasted waiting to catch your server's attention to close out. There's lots of tv's on the wall, so it would be a great spot to catch a game. I also noticed they have a special beer on tap for a run club, so they must have a regular meetup here. Parking isn't too bad in the nearby lots, but I've only been by on weeknights. MKT overall has lots of new popular spots, so this should be a fun spot on the weekends. I am writing this because of the unprofessional treatment my group of 10 received yesterday. Our initial server (dark hair, skinny girl) was hostile and seemed intoxicated, at one point walking away after an abrupt interaction before we could even order. After involving a manager, the server continued to 'gaslight' our table by making ironic remarks and gossiping about us within our line of sight at the bar. While there was an OK crowd when we arrived, we were surprised at how quickly the place emptied out for a Sunday evening (on a holiday weekend). We decided to sit at the bar to order our drinks and later moved to the outdoor patio as we got a bit too chilly. They have a pretty good selection of drinks (canned seltzers, frozen drinks, beer and cocktails). I started off with a frozen margarita and later ordered the prosecco. Both the service and drinks were good. I liked the atmosphere overall but do wish that it was a bit more lively. I got the fajita fries which is a shareable plate but I had it as my main course. The fries price ($18) wasn't really worth the food but it was still tasty. The patio is absolutely amazing ! Especially with the awesome weather we've been having ! Food: The food was good. I was craving a burger so opted for the Highline Burger with no cheese and a side salad (you get an option of salad, onion rings, or fries). The salad was simple but satisfying and paired with the champagne vinegrette was the perfect light side for the burger. Unfortunately my experience with the burger is why my rating was only 3 stars.... I ordered it without cheese, and it came with it. No big deal - I pointed that out and they went to correct it. Still no big deal. It was clear all they did was scrape the cheese off but not even fully.... the bun was then smashed back down on it. It came out initially looking absolutely delicious with a fluffy bun, but quite flat on the return. The bun then completely fell apart and I ended up rating it with a fork and knife. So it was generally just a sub-par experience though the patty itself was cooked well. We also got the sandwich with onion rings which was pretty good. It came with a side sauce that wasn't ketchup but was fine. Ambiance / space: The patio is amazing ! I already mentioned that but it's worth mentioning again. There's tons of seating outdoors include 2-top, 4 -top, and more. Seats range from booth to couches outside and inside there's bar seating as well. There's several tvs outside playing sports channels and some upbeat music playing too. I do with it was a little more clear that you need to seat yourself. It was a bit awkward not knowing that, being greeted, and really not being acknowledged in any way at all. Once I figured that out though the server came around pretty quickly. He was awesome and also seemed to be the only one working, so he was doing great! Other things to note: - the patio is dog friendly - it's on the back side of the MKT further from parking so can be a bit hard to find - there are tiny QR codes on the tables for menus - but they are very tiny ! - the handicap stall in the women's restroom had a broken lock and could not stay closed - they take your card up front when you place a food order (or any order really) read more

I really enjoy the atmosphere. It's a really cool place the drinks are good during happy hour. I will say that there's only one house wine on happy hour and it's a Chardonnay and I got a Pinot Grigio and when I paid out it was $11 for a glass instead of the six dollars I think they should expand their happy hour white wine list. The real upside of Highline Park restaurant is the location and the ambience--the food and service are just fine. The location is great--in the new, fun MKT complex, right off of a trail, and across from a field/park. The patio at Highlight Park has great views and is nice and turfed, with big fans. Perhaps it was because we were there for a group buffet lunch, but I thought the food and service were just OK. Different items at our buffet came out at different times, so the food you got was based on when you went through the line (or I guess could go multiple times), which I thought was odd. To that point, service was friendly but rather absent. Overall, though, it's a fun spot! read more
