Just finished a movie next door with friends and were in need of some food. Big City Wings was in our peripheral and we all happen to be wing lovers so it was a no brainer to stop in. I've been to a few of their locations around town and enjoyed it. This location is pretty big. The space inside is spread out with lots of seating. They even have a little area with an arcade. The patio is very spacious too. For a Sunday with games on, the place was pretty empty. It worked out for us as we were seated immediately and got our servers undivided attention. Service was great. One of the things I love most about this chain is that they have really great daily deals. Since I had just ate my weight in popcorn next door, I skipped over their appetizers and set my sights on the wings. I ended up going with the wing basket which came with 10 wings and a side. They have around 20 flavors to choose from. I like options. I went with the Buffalo Hot which is a saucy option and the Spicy Ranch which is a dry rub option. I've had these flavors before and they packed some heat along with flavor. At this location, it fell a little short though. The wings just didn't pick up the flavor options. They were cooked perfect and weren't bad by any means, but just ate pretty bland for me. I like a little kick and like the sauce or rubs to stick to the wing. The side of waffle fries also were room temp at best. My friends seemed to enjoy their choices. Overall, I am pretty sure I got them on an off day. The chain usually hits the spots on most visits. I would check them out again if in the area and the wing cravings hit. read more

What you see is what you get! Pretty good casual spot with a large menu. I'm not a huge wing person in general but I appreciate that they have a wide variety of flavors. AND they don't have a minimum amount you have to order per flavor, so if you want to try something out you can get just one or two wings. My friends and I frequent the Regal that is just a few steps away, so this is great for a dinner beforehand or drinks after. Definitely take advantage of their daily food and drink specials! I haven't watched a game here yet but with the amount of TVs I'd guess that it would be a good time. read more

This is great place to grab lunch or dinner before a movie. Located right across the walkway from Regal Theaters. We ordered three entree meals with garlic parmesan, medium buffalo, and lemon pepper wings. Each with its own sides of onion wings, fried mushrooms and waffle fries. Service is good though it was slow for a Monday but she was still attentive. So it was a quiet night. There are plenty of TVs and entertainment to watch everywhere in the restaurant. Food was pretty good. They gave us a free plate of onion rings (or pickle spears if you choose that!) because we checked in on Yelp. The guy taking our order sounded perplexed when I showed him the coupon but he showed it to the manager and the manager said "of course we'll honor it!" They were great and the sauce that came with it was a really yummy bbq ranch. I got the chicken and waffles with tenders and they give them to you on separate plates. The waffle wasn't super crispy, but I like them that was. It sort of felt like it was reheated from frozen. They did give a lot of chicken with it, which I liked. Most places with chicken and waffles will charge you $20 for a waffle and three pieces of chicken but here they give you a ton and it's still a reasonable price. Tbh I probably would only come here again if I wanted a bite after seeing a movie with friends (which is why we came this time). read more

I came here for dinner with a business associate, we had decided earlier in the day this was a good option to grab some wings and beers especially since it was directly across the highway from the hotel we were staying at and Houston is searing this time of year.There's lots of free parking and being it was a weeknight we had no trouble being seated as soon as we walked through the door a little after 6:00 PM. Our server met us at the table immediately after being seated and went over the specials - specifically $1 (tenders) and $5 (34 oz drafts). I wish I could remember our server's name she was exceptional the whole night very attentive and accommodating. We both order wings traditional and boneless with the mango habanero sauce it was delicious and the wings were prepared perfectly, I assumed they would of been a little hotter but the taste was still amazing pairing it with a ice cold 34 oz Dos Equis was a match made in heaven - so we did a few of them after the wings had long been cleared from the table. The restaurant never got more than a quarter filled so it was relatively quite for conversation and there was absolutely no problem hearing the games on the big screens. I'm not a big Houston sport's fan but it's seemed like most of the other customers were locals and they definitely were enjoying themselves so it was a fun atmosphere. I always enjoy this place. On Tuesdays you buy one get one free for wings. The service is always good and the food is always tasty. I've tried many different flavors and give the wings a four out of five stars. The mozzarella sticks are delicious as well as the chili cheese, potato wedges. Sometimes they've been great and other times it's like the watching the New York Jets: uninspiring. The waffle fries are spot on with the right crispiness and temperature. As for beers, the have your typical domestics and locals. Domestics have deals sometimes so I usually do that in the big mugs. Go big or go home right? I usually sit at the bar area which has multiple TVs setup. Sometimes service is great and sometimes it's like watching the Dallas Cowboys: a let down. The restaurant itself is quite large so finding seating should not be an issue. This chain is a more upscale BWWs with slightly better food and service (sometimes). Went in for dinner with friends and looked forward to having some great wings. Arrived and as we walked in the Astros game was on so we were happy campers. We did notice that the Special of the day was "$8.00 burger" which the menu said was normally $14.00. Our wonderful server Ginger (195) seated us and took our order. All four selected wings as our entrees for some reason. One of our party enjoyed theirs, and the rest of us were disappointed. Two orders were completely over cooked. The other two were a combination of soggy and sad at the same time. Service was good, We watched the Astros win, and so the evening wasn't a total bust. But a lot could improve. Sadly, someone in the kitchen had a bad shift. But there are other places that know how wings are supposed to be cooked. Not sure we will go back, but it's possible.
