They can get pretty busy at breakfast time, especially on the weekends, so be patient. Once you're seated the service is quick and friendly. I stopped by this place after a wonderful hike nearby. I yelped Breakfast and this place popped up nearby and pictures looked like typical American breakfast which I was looking for. It was packed (sunday morning) but parking was very convenient and plentiful behind the restaurant. Few ladies there whom worked there were on it, fast and efficient although it was very busy. The menu items are typical American style breakfast and I got the Reyn special which was $5.99 but came with 2 pieces of meat, eggs, hashbrown and home made banana bread. I say it's a pretty good deal~ Coffee kept flowing without having to ask for refills, the food tasted good, the service right up to par. I'd probably frequent this place if I lived closer. Regardless a good ol' diner~ BTW I saw some people posting about pho but it was no where to be found on the menu nor the restaurant looked anything like a pho restaurant so I don't know what that was about. :-/ read more

I'll be going here a lot more for Asian food than the Panda Express by 24hr fitness...lol But, all jokes aside, I like this place because the food is hot and fresh when they bring it to you and the prices are very reasonable; And when i say very reasonable, I mean the food is sooo good that I feel like I'm stealing from them when the bill comes... lol I recently went here for dinner and for about $6 i got a huge plate of yellow curry chicken, sticky rice and fresh vegetables. It was delicious. So if you like curry anything this is definitely a place that you would like going to. My husband and my favorite breakfast joint! This place is literally down the street from where we live, but aside from the convenience of it's proximity to us, the food is actually really good. It's nothing short of good home cookin' in a 1950s diner, especially with mismatched coffee mugs & vinyl seats. You just feel comfortable eating here, just like home. Lately my regular has been the hash & 2 eggs combo. with choice of bread (get the banana bread..so good!) and potatoes - I get the home fries. Servers are really nice too. Don't eat here if you're in a rush or expect 4 star quality service. It's really a mom and pop kinda diner so all you posh folks don't come and judge. This is by far my favorite breakfast spot whenever I visit the city. I'm from Philadelphia where we specialize in large varieties of food restaurants. Good food I might ad. ARRGHHH!!! My wife and I are passing by and there's a banner out front saying something about breakfast... so we flip a U and pull into the lot. Pho for breakfast...in Pasadena!!! When we get to the door, there's a note taped to the glass "...no longer serving Vietnamese food..." We went in anyway, and sure enough, it's the American breakfast menu. The caucasian female server with all the tattoos on her arms and hands tried to scam me. I paid half in cash and half with a credit card. She pocketed the cash and charged me full price on the credit card (even though I left a nice tip) thinking I wouldn't notice. This place has some pretty bizarre hours, so it's not always open. Plus, they don't serve pho on Sundays, which baffles me The food is very very average for a Vietnamese restaurant. adored this place so much, I went 2 consecutive days :) the first one was by myself. I was staying with a friend nearby and just googled a place to have a decent breakfast and read a little, where I could walk to from his place. Kudos to me cos I came in by myself on a Saturday morning, so I was seated immediately at the counter. There was a line but it seemed like the pacing was fast. The staff were pleasant as soon as you get in the door. Everyone's attentive and quick, but I never felt "hurried". Now for the food, of course, food were ample serving and good! The pancakes were sooo good and their hash browns are amazing, I ordered the Farmer's Breakfast and it really hit the spot. The following day, my friend and I went here for lunch and ordered what people say is the bomb: Chicken Fried Steak. It was great! and don't forget to try their amazing homemade banana bread with melting butter on top! yum! They close at 2pm and we got there by past 1. There were still a lot of people coming in and nobody from the staff made us feel that they can't wait to leave. Even the busboys were all smiles, sweet and helpful. This is a cute little homestyle looking breakfast -lunch spot in Pasadena, went with the family, only down side is they close 2 in the afternoon. I tried the waffles, they were crispy on the outside side & moist in the middle with good flavor. They have perfected the waffles with the strawberry topping. This is a neat little diner. Food and service were ok/average. The small diner feel is great. Grab a table or booth and hang out. Really easy going staff and not at all pretentious. A great diverse set of clientele that all seemed cordial. Service was a little slow. Could just be sleepy Pasadena but it was slower than most. I had to ask for a few parts of the order twice. This restaurant is everything I wanted pretty much. I loved how on my turkey sausage plate the potatoes were seasoned. They have a great menu selection aswell. This is my ideal breakfast place. i don't know why i haven't rated this place sooner, but i LOVE IT. me and my friends & family always come here and are served our food super fast and all the waiters are always really nice! I love the prices, and how for like $9.50 ish you can get pancakes, eggs, toast, and bacon! it's WAY cheaper than ihop, and i personally think it's better. Also the decor is super adorable and your eye will always be trying to read all the cute signs they got up. There's not ever really a long wait, but if there is a wait it never longer than 10-15 mins. they know what they're doing here i've been here about 15+ times and i'm coming back today! read more

We used to go this place religiously for the banana bread. We loved our old servers. However, today, we had a really bad experience with our server an older lady named Theresa, who we have never seen. She gave us attitude, and had bad communication skill. We were seated already and she was taking our order, but left in the middle because one of our friends were on her phone. When she came back, she asked to take the rest of our order.m, but my friend was still on her phone. She took away our menu, she wanted us to move our table wait another 10-15 min to be seated. I would have gave this place 5 stars. The servicer was great, the cinnamon roll French toast was amazing and the country fried steak. But the manager was down right disrespectful. I asked for a breakfast burrito with eggs over easy and was told that is impossible. He informed me this only after making the burrito with scrambled eggs. Even though, I get my breakfast burritos like that at lucky boy's, heirloom cafe, cafe verde, marston's, barney's beanery, Le Roy's, Rosscco's and pete's blue chip dinner. So yeah, definitely not impossible, just never coming back here. Don't make me the incorrect food and ask if it is ok? I want it to be great not just ok. I can make ok at home. I would actually give them a 3.5 stars. Now that I have relocated, good pho is a little far from reach. My bf and I rode our bikes here today to cure his hangover. I am pretty picky when it comes to pho, but Reyn was satisfying. The pho had good broth and was served nice and hot. I pho served warm, yuck! Spring Rolls w/ bbq pork: yum! add chili to the peanut sauce Filet Mignon Pho: was tender but needed more meat. I rather have my filet mignon as a steak : ) Pho Special (Dac Biet): had a good portion of meat. Pho is about $6-8 a bowl. It's a good pho fix when you are too lazy to drive far and of couse, if you live in the area. The decor is interesting for a Vietnamese restaurant. Decent food, you won't be disappointed. read more

I am always glad to find a no frills mom and pop type of diner that serves a mean breakfast. There was a bit of a wait, but that should be expected on a Sunday. The wait staff was really on top of getting their patrons in and out though. Everyone hustles here and they are super busy, so it did not bother me much that our food took some time to come out. I will definitely try coming earlier next time. The French toast was fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. You can opt to add strawberries, but they are soaked in syrup. There's a separate room that looked like an Elks Club subcommittee meeting was taking place. Expect standard American diner food. The prices aren't too fancy either, so that's good. Went here for lunch and ordered the beef patty + 2 eggs and a side. Waiter let me substitute the side for Banana bread. It took a long time to get my food considering there were only 2-3 other customers. I ordered my eggs over-easy but they came out under-cooked and slimy. I also thought the meal was overpriced for what I got (my meal + coffee was $11). I'm giving this place two stars for the banana bread, which was delicious, but not worth a trip back. My experience here was just meh. I'm not sure I understand why this place has a 4-star rating. I came here for breakfast with a girlfriend and was not pleased. There were only three other parties besides ours when we arrived, but it seemed like we'd been waiting forever for our food. I ordered the cinnamon French toast combo; my scrambled eggs and bacon were cold and my French toast came out lukewarm. The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive either. We found this restaurant on a road trip and it was a good move! Don't let the outside appearance turn you off - it's old and not fancy but the food is really good! Quick service, friendly staff, hometown coffee shop feel. Kids loved the pancake breakfasts, husband thought the breakfast burrito was delicious, not greasy and a generous but not overwhelming serving size. I loved that they had a healthy menu and really enjoyed the turkey sausage and egg white breakfast. It came with a side of Banana bread that I didn't eat but my children enjoyed! Overall, great stop! Sadly, since they no longer offer Pho, this place really has nothing going for it. My coffee mug was chipped, stained and (presumably) dirty. The waffle (for like $6) was most likely frozen prior to being on my plate, super thin and bright yellow (what the?!).
