Had dinner with friends here few months ago and I just realized that I never posted my review. A beautiful restaurant in the most beautiful resort. We had a lovely time enjoying time together. The service was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were delicious. The food was a bit disappointing but it tasted ok. Very small portions and not too many options to choose from. Overall. Great place to dine even just for the ambiance, as I say that I made another reservation for a family dinner in a few days. I'll update my review about the food again

The Revere Room truly is a beautiful spot for brunch. Located in the gorgeous Rosewood Hotel in Montecito, the elegance of the place really sets the tone for a fabulous dining experience. I definitely love the location which sold us on wanting to dine here. The revere room is located straight into the back of the hotel near the pool and event grounds. We sat outside on their lovely covered patio which was perfect. They had heaters as it was a gloomy day but we found it to be very nice and cozy. The umbrellas kept us well shaded and it was a nice area to dine opposed to their indoor seating area. The menu was impressive for brunch/lunch. They had a really nice variety of breakfast items and classic lunch entrees. With 11am reservations they provided us only with a latte menu, but upon request of a cocktail menu there were no issues with being given one. The reason for my docked star was service and considering the price point. I want to be very clear that everyone was extremely nice and friendly. The hostess was bubbly and sat us right away, no issues. Also our waiter was super friendly and polite. He made us feel welcome and had a positive attitude. My biggest critique was simply the attentiveness of the service today. I expected more from a 5-star hotel. Nice staff is lovely but if we have to ask for refills of teas, ask to place our orders, and have to ask for our check at the end (despite waiting a while to see if staff would handle it without a nudge) I felt I had to be honest and give 4 stars overall. Service should be more attentive, maybe it was an off day or maybe it was our waiter but they didn't seem slammed. Happy that staff are so nice, just hoping for a little more attention to detail in the future when you are paying $$ price to dine here. The food was very very good. I had the smash burger and fries and it was a seriously good burger. Cooked perfect and super juicy. The sauce was good and the fries crispy. As much as we thought we wanted brunch the burgers were a crowd pleaser. We also had the oysters which were average but nice presentation. My friends eggs Benedict were reported to be very good as well. For a cocktail I had the conscious crush. Love me a cocktail with passionfruit and avocado. Unfortunately the avocado flavor wasn't as pronounced as I would have liked but A for effort. Hard to find cocktails that have avocado in it so glad they do have more unique cocktails. Despite the flavor profile not being 100% what I was aiming for it was still a good cocktail. Overall I had a really nice dining experience here. Very friendly staff, tasty food and honestly you are coming here for the ambiance and scenery. We parked valet and they validate parking at the restaurant which was very nice of them. Easy in and out. Definitely if you are looking for a more sophisticated meal this is a great spot to try.

Located in the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel is The Revere Room where they are open for brunch and dinner. We went for brunch on a Sunday with no reservations and got seated after a five minute wait. With indoor and outdoor seating options you are at a great location to people watch. Breakfast brunch prices are on the steeper side. Our favorite was the lemon ricotta pancake, so light, slightly tart and fluffy!

Great service and food in a gorgeous setting. The Revere Room offers both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The menu has a variety of share plates and entrees, as well as fun cocktails and non-alcoholic spritzes. I loved the burrata and the crudo to share with the table. For an entree, I ordered the summer harvest salad with chicken. Everything tasted super fresh and the produce was high quality. Our server was attentive and personable, and the food came out quickly. Expensive? Absolutely. But for a special occasion or elevated dining experience, I think it's worth the visit!

I recently stayed in Santa Barbara to visit my sister at UCSB. While I was there I enjoyed dining at the Revere room at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel for breakfast. The sweeping views of the beach and Santa Barbara coastline spectacular service was actually great. It was not too much but just enough with the service staff frequently walking the floor. I really enjoyed my breakfast I would recommend anyone visiting Santa Barbara.

Restaurant week hasn't ended yet ... TRY REVERE ROOM!!! We come back here p often. The interior is classy and we love the food too!! High quality place. The waiters are super attentive as well.

Squash soup. A bit too sweet. Felt like it was missing something. But not bad.

We came here for dinner and it was beautiful all around us. The restaurant itself is probably more of a brunch/lunch spot. Dinner was great, but we sat inside and it didn't feel too warm and vibey. But it's ok. Food was good.

I was here for a board retreat. We paused for lunch - and instead of taking it in the same space where we were spending the whole day, we had decided on a break and walked down to the Revere Room where we had a reservation for the 12 of us. It was Saturday and they had a fixed price menu. First we got baskets of assorted danishes and pastries - and can I just say -- the croissants were absolutely perfect. Flaky and crispy on the outside but warm and soft (and chocolatey) on the inside. I wish that it was chocolate spread instead of chunks of chocolate chips, but regardless- it was flawlessly delicious. Then came the charcuterie with house-made bread. Again- ridiculously well baked. The onion jam, I ate with a spoon. It was that good. Then we got to pick from 4 options, 3 brunch-type- and fortunately they had a burger on the menu, because I was jonesing for fries and needed a burger to accompany them. A5 Wagyu Burger - 60-Minute Onion, Lettuce, Bacon Jam, Chipotle Aioli Served with French Fries -- I asked for medium rare, my burger came out closer to medium well. It didn't say anything about cheese on the menu, but it came out with what seemed to be American cheese--- sadly it wasn't melted well, so it was in a goopy/square shape...very off putting to someone who never orders cheese on a burger. The chipotle aioli looked more like Thousand island dressing to me-- and the burger was actually not seasoned. (What is it with chefs not salting the beef?) so, it was an uneventful burger. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The pièce de resistance was the dessert. We had a choice of 1759 Blackberry Cheesecake - Two Peas in a Pod Marinated Blackberries or Cœur de Guanaja Budino - Valrhona Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter Mousse, Banana Brulée I ordered the Budino, even though i usually don't like pudding texture. This was a holy experience. Oh. My. God. It was epic. Every bite was absolute gastronomic perfection. The texture, the combination of flavors and even the banana-- again not something I would usually get. Somehow, I kept getting a hint of ginger with each bite. Not sure if it was my palate or that they actually had ginger -- it just improved the whole thing for me. That zing of ginger flavor added a whole other layer of amazing. It was too rich to finish so I brought it back to our retreat to nosh on it for the rest of the afternoon. Somethings to note: The Revere Room is at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Montecito. Street parking is limitedly available and they only do valet. Valet is $17-$21 (can't remember how much since it was included in our retreat bill).

Stopped by for the SB Restaurant week. The food and service were excellent! The views were amazing minus the high winds they had an indoor event and only outdoor seating was available. They do offer blankets which was nice but unfortunately ran out of them

Five stars all around. On par with the Rosewood, the Revere Room checks all the boxes of incredible food, service and ambiance. We were there for brunch and ordered the steak and eggs, ham waffles and the French toast. Steaks and eggs can be a easy hit or Miss but the Steak here was perfectly cooked. If you're in the mood for something savory and sweet, the ham waffles were a perfect blend. Also if you want to try a sweet drink, the lavender latte is a must try!

I think if we went again we would both get something other than the filet but the macaroni and cheese was great! Haha The service is probably the best service that I have ever received. We went back a few weeks ago, for Matt's 43rd birthday, and found a completely different restaurant. I guess at some point, San Ysidro Ranch went all-inclusive, and Stonehouse started serving a mostly captive clientele: hotel guests who've already paid for dinner. This is fine if you're staying at the Ranch, but if you remember The Stonehouse as a fancy special occasion restaurant with a high level of service, your impression is out of date. The astronomical prices may suggest otherwise, but keep in mind that most diners aren't really paying those anyway. We went on a drizzly Tuesday night and sat inside, missing out on the scenic patio. The dining room was nice, though, very stately, and as parents ourselves, we were not put out by the number of children in the room, the families sitting down for a casual weeknight dinner. We were surprised, though, when we tried to order drinks and our waiter asked to see our IDs. My husband presented his license, which showed very clearly that it was his 43rd birthday. The waiter had no comment on this, and instead turned his attention to me, Matt's 40-year-old wife. I didn't have ID on me, and he refused to take my drink order. We weren't about to have an expensive birthday dinner without alcohol, so we got up to drive home and pick up my license. But first, I decided to try my luck with a manager. Because look, I understand that I should've had my wallet, but also, I hadn't been carded at a restaurant in years. I told this to the manager, and suggested they tell customers in advance to make sure to bring ID. Instead of explaining that he needed to be careful because The Stonehouse served families with teenagers, he said it was the law, and that every restaurant should be carding aggressively. This was so disingenuous I more or less asked if he'd ever been to a restaurant. I also offered to show him a scan of my passport and the picture Matt and I took at The Stonehouse the night we got engaged in 2012, well after I turned seven. He relented, and we were reseated without having to produce my license. I didn't hold any of this against our waiter, but we were assigned a new one anyway, and received middling service for the duration of our meal. For one thing, we asked for help picking a bottle from the massive wine book, and it took the somm an actual half hour to pay us a visit. We were done with our appetizers and had checked in with our waiter twice by the time he made his way over. The other annoyance was that no one acknowledged Matt's birthday, despite the time we spent litigating birthdays, during which I mentioned quite pointedly that we were there for his 43rd. I even told a server who checked in on me before dessert while Matt was in the bathroom, and he said he'd make sure there was a candle in our tart. Not the end of the world, but this did not happen. The drinks, when we got them, were great, starting with cocktails, which almost tided us over until we received our wine. These were $33 a pop and kind of ridiculous, smoked tableside with a showy gadget. The Negroni Tropicale was made with grilled pineapple-infused No. 3 dry gin, Campari, Carpano Antica, and orange zest, then smoked with pecan wood. The French Quarter mixed Bardstown Ferrand Cognac-cask bourbon, Zaya 16-year rum, Benedictine, oloroso sherry, dry vermouth, and orange bitters, and was smoked with bourbon oak wood. For wine, we got a bottle of 2020 Vietti Monvigliero Barolo. This was excellent, and also a bit of a win. The bottle was barely marked up from retail, and we'll never know if The Stonehouse has exceptionally favorable wine prices or we were served the wrong vintage on accident. Food was solid, starting with Maine lobster salad in tiny phyllo cups, a nice welcome bite. Bread basket came with pumpkin seed lavash pumpkin seed, sourdough, and rice flour rolls, with olive oil for dipping. We enjoyed a half-dozen oysters with pickled Asian pear mignonette, and Japanese yellowtail crudo with pixie tangerine, purple radish, seagrass, and shiro dashi vinaigrette. Acorn squash agnolotti were lovely, with black truffle, toasted pecans, morel mushrooms, and a goat cheese fondue. The duck a l'orange came with a show, the sauce flambéed tableside on portable burner. A lot of magic tricks on this menu, perhaps for the kids. The duck breast was good, though, over barley pilaf with Tokyo turnips, herbes de Provence, Cara Cara orange, and Grand Marnier. The herb-crusted rack of lamb was decent too, served with lamb sausage, Tuscan kale, crispy polenta, and violet mustard. For dessert, we shared the orchard Meyer lemon tart with blueberry compote and wildflower honey and lavender Chantilly. The food was a strong A-, but not worth the money or the sub-par experience. Unless you're staying on property, avoid The Stonehouse.

When our Lyft arrived, employees rushed over to open the doors, and when we asked where the restaurant was, the front desk employee actually stepped away from the desk to personally point us in the right direction. The walk to the restaurant is a bit long since it overlooks the beach, but it was a beautiful night and ended up feeling relaxing and special. (Particularly on the way back when we were full from the tasting menu) I just wouldn't wear uncomfy heels. One interesting touch: we overheard the hostess offering another couple the option to put their phones away for the evening so they could fully experience dinner distraction-free. I ended up keeping mine away too and honestly enjoyed being more present during the meal. As a side note, another couple took photos of every meal and there didn't appear to be a stigma regardless. We did the tasting menu, and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations. All the staff was great, honestly. What stood out most to me compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited was the focus on seasonal ingredients and vegetables. That night featured Harry's berries and asparagus throughout several dishes. My favorite was probably the burrata with Harry's berries and rhubarb. There are quite a few optional upgrades throughout the tasting menu, including caviar and upgraded steak options, but we only added the chocolate bar selection at the end, which was excellent. I also appreciated the atmosphere. You could hear the waves crashing through the open doors, but it still stayed warm and comfortable inside. The noise level was lively without being overwhelming, and the recently added piano really elevated the experience. Some dishes seemed to sing to the symphony. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had, but I absolutely would return. Several dishes highlighted the ingredients so beautifully that I'd love to come back during another season to try a different menu. Solid experience and felt more or less felt worth the price.

The restaurant was busy. Our server was great. She introduced herself (Giana I believe she said) and helped us understand that the intent of the menu and dining approach is a sharing format. Everyone loved their drink and commented on how well made they were. Food: The restaurant provides complimentary dill pickle popcorn (10/5) as a snack to get your appetite moving. This unique popcorn flavor was one of the best things I had all night. Everyone in our party agreed. We ordered 40% of the menu. The standouts were the fried chicken (5/5), the duck confit (5/5), and the pork ribs (4/5). Dessert: The chocolate pot-a-crème with banana cream (5/5) and donut holes (5/5) were both very tasty. We had a real good experience at the Lark. My only comment as a first timer was gauging how much food to order. We found the menu items in the Farm and Ranch sections were entree sized plates, while the Ocean section plates varied in size considerably. We consequently over ordered and wasted some food. Although our server Giana was helpful, we could have asked more specific questions to assess the quantity of food better. We enjoyed the restaurant vibe, cocktail program and many of the plates. If I lived in SB, I would have dinner here every other month and enjoy the dill pickle popcorn and the fried chicken with their signature Paloma to wash it all down.

One of the BEST service experience I've ever had. All the staff were so friendly, knowledgeable,…read moreand attentive. Outdoor patio seating is also a very nice and you can hear the other person talking vs other restaurants where it's super loud. The menu has a lot of local items & everything was delicious. I think out of the few items we ordered, we liked the smoked tri tip and the mussels the most. The mussel soup was SO good and we needed more bread to eat it all up. The tri tip was also cooked perfectly and I loved the sauce that came with it. This is certainly a great date night spot and also bit pricier than I usually go for. The food might not have been what I crave but it was a great experience.

We had dinner here at Barbareno tonight. The wait staff and support were on point. However, we…read moreweren't impressed with the food nor its presentation/plating. Food: we started with the bread service (4/5) and the Scotch eggs (4/5). Both were good. We then had the mussels (4/5). Although I'm not a fan, my buddy powered through the entire bowl...so obviously he liked them. The sauce was spicy and flavorful, which I appreciated. I used the bread to soak up that flavorful sauce. Then we had the Santa Maria grill (3/5) and the pork rib plate(4/5). The presentation and seasoning for the Santa Maria plate was just boring and lacking. We chose not to finish that plate as it was not real flavorful, nor interesting. The pork ribs (3/5) on the 2nd plate had really good seasoning and flavor, but should have been cooked longer. This was a pretty significant miss, as the ribs needed to cook at least another hour. The meat was pink??? This is an oversight for cooking ribs. Dessert: we ordered all 3 desserts and they were all just okay. Nothing craveable or exciting. The service team was a strong 4 stars all night. The kitchen was maybe 3.5 stars. I was surprised that our party of 6 didn't enjoy the meal more based upon the reviews and previous restaurant recognition. Maybe the kitchen had an off night and we need to give it another try. There are so many great restaurants in SB, we may or may not make our way back to Barbareno.
