I have had this restaurant saved on my Yelp bookmarks for a while and finally had the chance to go. Everything about it is absolutely beautiful. The views are incredible, and the space has so much character and charm. Even the bathrooms are beautifully decorated, which says a lot. You do need a reservation since it is inside the ranch, and OpenTable requires a credit card on file, so plan ahead. I ordered the grain bowl and it was excellent, and the crab cake was fresh and well done. Our waiter was wonderful and the service was great the entire time. I would absolutely recommend this and would love to come back for dinner. It is an incredibly beautiful restaurant and completely worth it.

I went to Stonehouse Restaurant for a birthday celebration. It was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend planning to spend couple of hours exploring and walking around the garden. This location has a breathtaking garden. For food, I would say I really enjoyed my wagyu burger. It was very tasteful and perfect seasoning. I liked the fact that it was done the way I requested. I requested well down and I got it. I would say I really enjoyed the dessert too. They brought a complimentary dessert as well which was a nice touch. My only complaint is about the drinks. For the price I was expecting better ones, but it didn't meet my expectations. For service, I would say staff were really nice and friendly. Our server was attentive and answered our questions. This location also offers complimentary valet parking.

Stonehouse has been a favorite of ours for years, usually for dinner. This time we came for their Champagne Brunch and, for the first time, sat outside on the garden patio. It was a beautiful setting, and the weather couldn't have been better - especially after SoCal had just survived yet another round of atmospheric river storms over Christmas. We were there with friends, and between the four of us, we managed to order most of the items on this special brunch menu. I started with the burrata and prosciutto, which was anything but traditional - in the best way. It was far more interesting and delicious than expected. I also ordered the shakshuka, my go-to at Stonehouse brunches, and it absolutely delivered. For dessert, I chose the profiterole, and it was hands-down the best part of the meal. I wish I could take those home with me. As always, the service was impeccable. Our server was genuinely warm and happy, and it showed. They kept the table perfectly managed - clearing and resetting seamlessly - and made sure our champagne, mimosa, and prosecco glasses were never empty. The worst part? Having to leave. Granted, we spent a leisurely two and a half hours enjoying the food, the setting, and catching up with old friends. Will we be back? Absolutely. We make it a point to come at least once a year. Stonehouse is an experience - it's not just a meal.

Beautiful rustic vibe for an early birthday brunch. Music, sunshine and smoked blood orange margaritas were the best! Service was exceptional. And food was delicious!

With our adult children, we experienced Stonehouse together for the first time! The grounds are breathtaking with elegant lighting. We were in the dining room which is quite sophisticated, classy and elegant. The service was top-notch..kind professional, and knowledgeable. A wine connoisseur would find exactly what they are looking for in that book. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir and we were not disappointed. The food was good, but not as memorable as the ambience and service. Everybody liked what they had from the salmon to fettuccine....but it wasn't a WOW, I want to go back and have that dish again. Recommend the experience for sure. 1) request patio dining 2) wedge salad was fantastic 3) order the mac & cheese (yum). Would definitely go back for a special occasion. We ended our evening having a nightcap at the Easy downstairs. Super friendly service once again these folks definitely love being there. And that makes it that much more enjoyable.

the service, ambience and food altogether at stonehouse are unmatched and perfect for celebrating a special occasion. started off with complimentary bread/olive oil and amuse bouche (lobster salad inside a cucumber). our waiter offered really good recommendations, including the spinach and squash truffle agnolotti with goat cheese fondue as well as the duck prepared tableside and the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. also recommend the mac & cheese with prosciutto!

I found this place while browsing Yelp as I searched for restaurants in Santa Barbara. I hadn't heard of The Stonehouse previously but looked at photos and after seeing how beautiful the restaurant was, immediately made a reservation. The restaurant is located within San Ysidro Inn, which is a classic hotel where JFK and Jackie once stayed. There is valet available at the restaurant. They offer an a la carte menu here, and service is lovely. My husband and I both loved the ambiance. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. The food here was pretty good, but I wasn't amazed by anything. If it weren't for the ambiance, I think this restaurant would just be okay. I'd recommend if you're wanting to dine in a beautiful space.

I love the Stonehouse restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner! However, I would NOT recommend the champagne brunch. Service was weird and not super friendly, and I don't really like how you order all courses at once. I know why they do it that way, to have your next course ready, but I felt rushed to finish my plates and staff kept coming over and trying to take plates that we weren't done with. I remember who our main server was, but I'm not going to say his name. Ironically, another review names him as not being friendly either. We went last October when it was 125 per person, and now the website says it's 145 per person for the same experience? Menu is still the exact same they need to change it up. Sorry but it's boring... Won't be going back for that again anyway. Free flowing beverages are nice but don't really make it more worth it, especially because I don't drink a lot of alcohol. Appetizer was good, chicken and waffles were awful. Waffles were ok, but the chicken was literally impossible to cut and eat and was mostly bone. Ate almost none of it, and threw it away when I got home because it was basically inedible. I should've got the pancakes because they're really good, but I've tried them already and wanted to have something new. What a mistake! What a waste of 300+ dollars that could've been much better spent. I think something there also upset my stomach and I had to get up to use the bathroom a few times which was met with weird looks from our servers. So awkward. Our server was weird when I asked to box up the Crem Brulee, saying "it won't look as nice boxed up." Obviously I know that but I don't really care, I just want to box it up and eat later when these servers aren't staring daggers at us.... Overall super uncomfortable experience and along with what someone else here said, NOT worth it. Left super sad and disappointed. Threw up in the car on the way home...

Beautiful place & restaurant ambiance. Go early & wander around the grounds & chef's garden. The wine list is a novel & the sommelier visits each table to help you decide. Easy convenient valet service & readily greeted by hosts. Speciality drinks are wonderful & smoked drinks are done table side. Duck a l'Orange is flambéed table side & was really good. The fettuccine with shrimp was delicious & the shrimp were large. The portions of the mains were decent sized too. Received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary as well. Service was excellent. A bit pricey but worth it.

It is what it is. Pricey by any standard - $38 average cocktail and more single drink options in the $200+ range than menu items under $20. Entrees $75 at least, $40 for a few bite appetizers. That said, this place is entirely about the ambiance, so be sure to arrive early and walk around the grounds. Think of it as paying 30-40% on top for the exquisite beauty of the grounds. The service was kind, but we were disappointed that the waiter baited us into splitting an entree without mentioning that there was an additional $10 fee for splitting the entree - seemed like a reasonable choice given the most affordable entree was $75. The food was solid, but not overly memorable or anything I'd consider outstanding. Just pretty good.

The food, scenery and staff are all 10/10! I love it here! I lost all hope in other restaurants after dining at the Chef'sTable at Guy Savoy's but the Stone House surprised me and was exceptional!

When Andrew, the food and beverage manager heard about my bad experience with my reservation for my husband's birthday, he called me and invited us to come back for dinner hosted by him. It was fabulous and I will always remember how graciously we were treated. It is back to being my go to special place for monumental occasions.

Got lucky to score a Brunch reservation here on Sunday morning. It was surprisingly quiet but 80% full. The service was excellent- super attentive The decor is super gorgeous with views of the water and old world style fireplace and wood beam ceilings. The grounds are just immaculate with fresh herbs and produce everywhere. Such a pretty space! The food- Brunch is prix fixe with 3 courses and unlimited champagne/bellini/juices and a great value for the quality. I cannot wait to come here again- and hopefully spend the night here! I took pics of the apps & dessert but seemed to have scarfed down the mains too quickly for pics!! We had the Chicken & Waffles and the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. We cannot decide which we loved more

Hot or Not? Spoiler! it's a NOT. What a coincidence, it's happy hour . . . YAY ! Upon arrival, we were the only party on our end of the patio. (aside from a group of women on their way out.) We ordered our drinks promptly, but over the next 30m 3 small parties arrived, placed their drink orders, then their food orders, and were served well before us. disappointing. Despite being reassured multiple times over 30-40m period that our drinks were "on the way" they hadn't arrived long after having ordered--far before all the surrounding parties had arrived. We were checked in on plenty and added Ratatouille to our order. My Spicy margs finally arrived and (1) glass had visible lipstick stain on it. Luckily Bf double ordered for HH deal so I had the clean one while we waited to be checked in on to no avail. Beau had to wave down a server but 20m after a manager/owner ((it's unclear) she was casually dressed not in uniform like the servers.) but This woman came by and checked in we told her about the stain, she took the dirty glass, asked our drink and we get brought the wrong drink. Spicy Marg : 2/5 sips light refreshing and with a hint of spice not too overpowering. ($12) Bloody Mary: Beau thought it was ok would not order again.($10) Overall the experience felt dismissive and disorganized. We love to go for an experience, the ambience/atmosphere was great but the service we received ruined the experience, as the Idiom goes, IT LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. Ratatouille never arrived, we gave plenty of time and grace, decided to Cancel our order and request the check. Note: When we arrived the hostess said "it's just us two" so I gave the benefit of the doubt, on another occasion I would have left to avoid a situation like what we experienced, I understand. But we only came in for a Drink ?? :((

The Montecito Clark's is on Coast Village Road, in a cheerful white stucco building trimmed in yellow and blue. I've been twice now, both times for lunch with my husband, our kids, and some permutation of grandparents. It's an easy last-minute reservation for a large, floppy party, great for everyone in our family, with an age range of three to 83. I'll admit that my three-year-old likes Clark's for the wrong reasons (primarily, that it has a prominent ceiling fan), but it is a family-friendly place, with a relaxed atmosphere and a little aquarium in front with fish that look like Nemo and Dory. There's also a secret kid's menu (you have to ask about it; our first visit, we just paid for the $18 pancakes on the regular menu), and the butter pasta is reportedly very good. I like almost any place with a kid's menu and a wine list, and Clark's is firmly in this category. There's a full bar, but I've done well with the selection of white wines--Chenin Blanc, Chablis, Sancerre, all available by the glass. Service was on the slow side our first visit but otherwise fine, and I was impressed with our waiter Andreas when we went back the weekend after last. He was patient and accommodating with our whole party, talking extensively about bread with Grandpa and answering questions about the fan for my little boy. The only problem with Clark's is that it's pretty expensive for a low-key spot, especially if you're going for lunch. I guess that's why it's in Montecito, though it certainly isn't there for old timers like my father-in-law. The food is fantastic, starting with the complimentary house sourdough, which Grandpa has declared the best bread he's had in California (where, to be clear, he's lived for 50 years). It is genuinely top tier bread, fresh and chewy with a nice crust, served with good butter and salt and beautiful little radishes. You can buy it to go for something like $16 a loaf, but it's available on demand when you dine in, and you can and should ask for more. Clark's specializes in seafood, and I've enjoyed both the jumbo shrimp cocktail and Santa Barbara uni. The shrimp cocktail comes with horseradish, seasoned saltines, classic cocktail sauce, and lemon; the uni in its spiny shell with Meyer lemon and shiso on a bed of ice. On the larger side, I'd recommend the mussels and clams in white wine and herbs, with garlic, chili flake, and a side of wood-charred sourdough. I've also liked both the lobster roll and the burger. The lobster roll comes with a heap of sweet lobster with lemon mayo, drawn butter, and bibb lettuce on a toasted bun. It comes with choice of fries or slaw, and the shoestring fries are thin and crispy. The pan-roasted black angus hamburger is a juicy burger with sauce gribiche and gruyere, with the same choice of sides. My boy keeps asking to go back to Clark's for the ceiling fan, and I suspect we'll be back soon enough, if mostly for the restaurant's other attractions. I'd recommend it if you want good wine, bread, and seafood in Montecito.

It was the perfect ratio of clams, chunky potatoes and bacon. With a kick of Tabasco! I would totally order this again. For my entree of choice, I went with the crispy skin faroe island salmon. I love ordering salmon when dining out. This one was well executed! Not only was the skin perfectly crisp, but the salmon was buttery, light and melted in my mouth. I'm not too fond of eating salmon skin, but this one was worth every bite. It paired very well with the red chimichurri sauce. Highly recommend this one if you like salmon. For dessert, the key lime tart was the perfect way to end my evening. It was delicious and I especially enjoyed scooping up the torched meringue and toasted coconut flakes with each bite. Overall, the ambiance here is beautiful and the service was very pleasant. I can't wait to come back to try more on the menu!

(Particularly on the way back when we were full from the tasting menu) I just wouldn't wear uncomfy heels. One interesting touch: we overheard the hostess offering another couple the option to put their phones away for the evening so they could fully experience dinner distraction-free. I ended up keeping mine away too and honestly enjoyed being more present during the meal. As a side note, another couple took photos of every meal and there didn't appear to be a stigma regardless. We did the tasting menu, and our waiter was fantastic with recommendations. All the staff was great, honestly. What stood out most to me compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited was the focus on seasonal ingredients and vegetables. That night featured Harry's berries and asparagus throughout several dishes. My favorite was probably the burrata with Harry's berries and rhubarb. There are quite a few optional upgrades throughout the tasting menu, including caviar and upgraded steak options, but we only added the chocolate bar selection at the end, which was excellent. I also appreciated the atmosphere. You could hear the waves crashing through the open doors, but it still stayed warm and comfortable inside. The noise level was lively without being overwhelming, and the recently added piano really elevated the experience. Some dishes seemed to sing to the symphony. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best meal I've ever had, but I absolutely would return. Several dishes highlighted the ingredients so beautifully that I'd love to come back during another season to try a different menu. Solid experience and felt more or less felt worth the price.
