Great ambiance and service as expected at any Hillstone establishment. Food came out promptly and was hot and fresh. You must get the chicken sandwich and a martini.

Now I get what all the gab is about this place! The drinks and food did not disappoint!! Great location relaxed ambiance inside and out. Our waitress was sweet and kind and demonstrated great service! Crisp martini was exactly how it was described and the French dip was perfect in every bite!! Will be back again!

Filet cooked perfect Med-Rare with Fries and a glass of Challen Pinot. Excellent pairing!

First time in. Classy bar with two and four seater booths around the outside. Not a big place but they do have additional seating outside. We had the smoked salmon appetizer which was very good and not over sized. Tony wife had the Kale salad with Rotisserie Chicken which was fantastic. (See pic) I had the Filet with Fries, cooked Med-Rate and paired it with a glass of the Challenge Pinto Noir. It was cooked perfectly and was a reasonable portion. (See pic) We sat at the bar to bypass the wait and the service from our tender was excellent! I missed out on the sandwich of the day which was Carnitas, which was a bummer. I will try again soon. Cheers!

Been to a few restaurants in Montecito and Honor Bar will always have a special place in my heart. Food is always 100% delicious and freshly made. I may be overreacting but the spaghetti and chicken meatballs is the best pasta I've ever had. Their crispy chicken sandwich is amazing as well. The waitress and hostess had amazing customer service. Service was quick to get seated and wait only took about 10-20 mins. The food took about 15 mins. For a Sunday evening dinner that's pretty good. Outdoor seating was great too. Overall ambiance was homey. I've been here and will be back again and again

The service is excellent and attentive from the wait time until the check came. We went during the lunch time rush but were seated promptly. We ordered a beverage while waiting. They have both outdoor and indoor seating as well as a full bar. The dip duo queso appetizer is perfect to share. This is guacamole and the other dip is cheese and jalapeño. Not too spicy. The honor burger was delicious and can request temperature cook for the meat. The other sandwiches looked delicious and don't forget to order fries!

Popped into town on a Monday during lunch time and The Honor Bar was the first recommendation from our Lyft driver. There was already a line forming so we added our name to the list and went for a little stroll down the street. We received a text fairly quickly indicating that our table was ready. It was quite chilly outside even with the sun out so I was grateful to be seating indoors, even if it was bar seating. The space is small but cozy. Seating completely around the bar with a clear view into the kitchen. Intimate table seating also lined the windows. Several tables outside as well that would have been perfectly on a warmer day. We were greeted and check on several times by the hosts, bartenders, servers, and even some of the kitchen staff. A plus on service. Our food: - Fries with dipping sauces (thin, generously salted) - Cubano sandwich (very tasty and healthy sized sandwich) - Macho salad (dates were an interesting touch. I could eat that salad every day) - paired our meal with a couple local beers Would love to try The Honor Bar for dinner on our next trip in town.

During our travels we had the pleasure of dining here, it has a cozy warm atmosphere. From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and attentive. From Kim, Andrew and Sam that made it a point to welcome us in. The food was nothing short of delicious. The carnitas sandwich was exceptional! Overall a great experience. We'll have to plan a trip just to visit the restaurant.

We had an AMAZING experience at the Honor Bar. Nevaeh was our server and she was the absolute loveliest and was so knowledgeable in the ingredients in the dishes. Shoutout to Aaron for delivering exceptional service and constantly attentive giving the best recommendations. The food was so good! For the French dip, the brioche bun was soft and fluffy. The beef was thinly sliced, tender, and moist. The salad was delicious. Croutons were corn bread which was so unique and brought sweetness to the salad. The chicken was so juicy as well. We got chips and guac / queso and it was amazing. The chips were so fresh and we couldn't stop eating it. What a wonderful experience!! All the staff were amazing. Thank you for a fantastic lunch.

Love Honor Bar. The food is delicious and consistent. Service is attentive and welcoming. Came here two nights in a row while in Montecito back in November. Favorites are the DIP DUO, smoked trout dip, cedar plank roasted salmon, and southern style Brussels sprouts. The French fries are good, too. From what I'm told, just about everything here is tasty which I can believe. The vibe is a very relaxed but sophisticated setting. You can show up in jeans and a nice sweatshirt or a suit after a day at the office. Fun!

We came here for a family meal and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. When we first walked in, I was carrying my young daughter, and we were offered a table inside the bar area -- not outside where families usually sit. Later, when another guest complained that our kids were "too loud," a staff member came over and asked us to "keep it quiet." It felt like being scolded in front of the entire section, which was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Meanwhile, the complaining guest looked extremely satisfied watching us get corrected, which only made the situation worse. I asked the manager, Andrew, why we were seated inside the bar if families with children are going to be treated as disruptive. He couldn't give me an answer. To his credit, he acknowledged that the situation could have been handled differently and was kind in our heart-to-heart conversation. He even offered me a chocolate chip cookie as a gesture. But what stood out most was when he quickly ran over mid-meal to offer my daughter a cookie the one and only time her voice was loud -- which felt more like a distraction tactic than support, and honestly made things more weird and awkward. Does he offer a cookie to diffuse every situation? Because there was a barking dog a few booths down and I didn't see him offering biscuits or cookies to manage the noise. Never coming back here, and if you've got kids-your family will not feel comfortable or welcome.

    Welcoming entrance!

Wow! So delicious & such a great ambiance! Brought one of my favorite clients to lunch & The Honor Bar did not disappoint! Although reservations are not allowed, we didn't wait long and were quickly welcomed to a comfy booth for three. Our server Alison was very attentive and continually assured we didn't need anything! The food was absolutely amazing & full of flavor. It was evident the ingredients were all fresh & the presentation was impressive! Started with the deviled eggs and had to ask for another order because they were so, so good! The brussel sprouts were also fantastic! I fell in love with the Matcho salad as it had all my favorites including dates, goat cheese, tender roasted chicken, tomatoes & corn bread croutons! The Emerald kale salad was perfectly delicious and the tuna sandwich is a must! I can't wait to go back with my friends & family! Definitely one of my new favorites!

We were just walking in the area and decided to just pop and have a bite here. The staff was so nice and our server, Sophia (if i remember correctly) was so sweet. If the menu has a french dip sandwich, i'm getting it. The meat was delicious, with the dip it melts in your mouth! Their salmon was cooked beautifully as well. Their chicken meatballs was okay, it was like chopped up chicken shaped into a ball, with a layer of bbq sauce and topped with some mustard. Other than that, what we got was delicious.

Even though there weren't many Yelp reviews, something about it caught my eye, so the next morning I decided to stop in on my way to work for my absolute favorite--bagel and lox. This little gem is tucked right in the heart of Montecito, in a charming shopping center with cute patio tables out front. Inside, it's a small, cozy space with a counter where you place your order. I ordered my bagel and lox and was told it would just be a few minutes. While I waited, I wandered into the tiny market next door--and oh my gosh, it was adorable. Shelves filled with amazing imported olive oils, jams, cheeses... all the things you want to take home even when you don't need them. By the time I stepped back outside, the gentleman who took my order brought my food out to me, ready to go. And let me tell you... this bagel was everything. It came open-faced with cream cheese, fresh tomato slices, onions, capers, and a pickle spear. But the real star? The lox. So fresh, so flavorful, and actually generous in portion size. So many places skimp, but not here--this was worth every bite and then some. It was filling and absolutely delicious. Service was fast, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. The gentleman working the counter was knowledgeable, helpful, and clearly takes pride in what they serve. Pricing was right on par with other local spots, but the quality and portions definitely put this place a step above. I'll absolutely be back. There are several things on the menu I can't wait to try--especially the matzoh ball soup, which looked phenomenal.

We chose to leave. Mind you, we are two white people. Needless to say we went to the delicious Italian restaurant across the street. I want to be able to give her a pass since she was quite rotund and maybe her blood sugar was low if perhaps she skipped a meal. We use to love stopping in Montecito and visit these cute cafes and shops. I'm so grateful we're from a beach town of kind and welcoming people who would never treat others like this.(Blonde large woman with a blue white tent dress in case this wasn't the owner).

The menu is long with a lot of overlap in ingredients, many combinations of meat, cheese, and vegetables with a lot of condiments on your choice of bread. There are also salads and flatbread pinsas and various cheese and charcuterie platters. I've stayed home for the pick-ups so have yet to see the place in person, but it's worth noting that they do get overwhelmed by big orders. We got like eight sandwiches last time and the order took over half an hour longer than promised. My friend got an apology and a free cappuccino for his long wait--absolutely wasted, as my husband pointed out, on the one child-free adult in our party--and we all ate a late lunch. I've had a few of the sandwiches, and they've all been solid. The Montecito Club comes with roast turkey, honey baked ham, Swiss, Gruyere, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. The Butterfly Beach is another roast turkey sandwich, with prosciutto, French brie, mayo, lettuce, tomato, olive oil, and red wine vinegar (though it's worth noting that this one was better when I added balsamic at home). The Italian Style is a meaty, loaded sandwich with hot capicola, Italian Toscano salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, kosher pickles, pepperoncini, olive oil, and red wine vinegar. I made the mistake of getting this juicy sandwich on a French roll, the soft bread got soggy almost immediately. This place gives you a lot of bread options, and I've found I like the sourdough, especially when I'm saving half of my sandwich for later. We usually hit Panino for easy sandwiches, but it's nice to mix it up once in a while. I'm sure we'll order from Montecito Gourmet again, and maybe I'll even land pick-up duty next time.

It is a small space so we were seated very close to two other tables (the kind of close where it's hard to focus on your own convo). We ordered the Caesar Salad to start. I feel like I've had this exact salad (as in gem lettuce, breadcrumbs, lemony dressing) other places executed a little better. The breadcrumbs were almost too hard creating a grainy/sandy texture rather than a nice crunch. Good flavor though. We also got the Meatballs "Alla Vodka." This was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband thought they could've used more of a binder but personally I liked that they felt more meaty than bready. I recommend using the spoon to eat the meatballs so you get enough sauce with each bite. Don't want any of that delicious sauce to go to waste! We got the pepperoni pizza for our entree. This pizza was just okay to me based on my personal preferences so take this with a grain of salt! I'm not the biggest sourdough person and since the pizza is fermented it has a similar flavor. I also wish that the pizza was a little less charred. I think it was more burnt on top than charred but maybe that's what they're going for and I'm just not the audience. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza with the house ranch. I really enjoyed this bc I prefer a dill-heavy ranch and this definitely delivered that! Overall, solid meal and would come back. Our server was a little awkward but didn't really affect our experience all that much.
