We love Bettina! Every time we are visiting Montecito/Santa Barbara we stop by. Zinzan (super cool Australian name right?!) was very friendly and set us up at a beautiful table with a heating lamp and provided great dinner suggestions. Our server Eddie was smooth with our orders and provided additional suggestions for a vegetarian at our table that we all enjoyed. They were both very friendly and the service was amazing. Your table enjoyed the fresh bread with the cultured butter that was absolutely delicious. We ordered two of the Mafaldine pastas, with even for non-anchovies lovers this pasta was divine. The lamb ragu was a big hit. And the casitas valley sausage pizza was incredibly fresh and enjoyable. For dessert we enjoyed the olive oil cake which was very moist and yummy and the chocolate chip cookie that had a smooth touch of flakey sea salt! Everything was sooooo good! Looking forward to our next adventure at Bettina's!

Great food great vibes. Ordered pepperoni pizza and added mushroom which was fresh crispy and delicious. Love the fact that they have a wooden oven. Cesar salad was really good and was crunchy. The dressing was great. Got a side of olives and it was a great addition. They are very busy and it's better to have a reservation. We didn't have a reservation in middle of the week but we were seated at the bar. Definitely recommended. Also they have been on Michelins guide for two years

4 stars for my experience and was my first time. Small place located in a unique boutique style shopping center. The service was nice and inviting but I have to say as the only negative they need more service help for the outside tables. The Caesar salad was unique yet very good. The pepperoni.pizza was very good. The pizza was very thin and had great robust flavor profiles. Aka tomato sauce and pepperoni's. The honey and chili oil was definitely a nice touch. The restaurant supposedly has a Michelin bib award. It was good but I wouldn't rate it yet in that category as there are small nuances that need addressing. A few our plates had chips all over them and the tables seemed somewhat not that great especially outside on the rocks. Overall a good experience

Diners like this restaurant's delicious wood-fired pizzas, especially the seasonal and pepperoni options, and highlight the fresh ingredients and flavorful crust. They also mention the excellent Caesar salad, tasty pasta dishes, and creative cocktails. Guests appreciate the welcoming staff, great service, and pleasant atmosphere, recommending reservations due to its popularity. Well recommended for family and friends 10/10

We arrived around 4:45 without a reservation and were seated at the pizza counter, which was perfect. We love an experience! There were only two of us and I'm sure showing up not too long after opening helped. We ordered the pepperoni pizza (pepperoni only on half), and the arancini. Both were absolutely delicious. Definitely wished we got one of the pastas and the meatballs, but that felt a bit gluttonous. If we lived closer, we'd definitely be back.

**September 2025: Friday Night Visit** My friend and I were planning a mini getaway and I knew that Bettina had to be on our list of restaurants to try as it was both a multi-time Bib Gourmand recipient and listed in the best "101 Best Restaurants in LA." I read that it does get really busy and unfortunately there weren't any reservations available at the time, so my friend and I chanced it and hoped that we'd be able to snag a seat - thankfully at 5:30pm we were lucky to get 2 spots at the bar. I dine out semi-regularly and it was packed! Every table had customers and pretty much at least one pie at the center. We decided to try one of their seasonal pies (Pear and Red Onions) since the salty and sweet combination sounded really appealing. We also ordered a Caesar Salad as our greens and a home-made meatball since everything was vegetarian up until that. The meatball sort of had a loose meatloaf texture, which I didn't mind since it was still flavorful and tender and the Cesar Salad was a solid salad. The pie on the other hand was a knockout star. The dough had a nice chew to it and the flavors on top just all worked so well together. Had we not stuffed ourselves with the appetizers we probably would have definitely ordered a second pie. Of the 4 meals we had on this trip this meal was our absolute favorite. We will definitely be back and will order all pies! Bettina is absolutely worthy of all the recognition and praise! Two thumbs up!

Love, love love pizza. And now I love, love love Bettina! Ended up here dinner time on a Friday. No reservations available but my friend and I decided to just walk in and take our chances. Maybe should have bought a lottery ticket that night too - because we waited didn't wait long at all. We ended up sitting at the bar where there service was top notch. Knowledge about the history of the restaurant, the ingredients of the dishes and just friendly and nice overall. See pics of what my friend and I shared - I'll say that I enjoyed the meatballs and salad, but I loved the pizza. The crust was tender and light, slight char, not burned and airy and easy to bite into. Loved how the mix of toppings (pears, red onions, caramelized onions) all just gave the pie a fresh, and both sweet and savory flavor in each bite. If I didn't have reservations somewhere else the next night, I would have considered going back for more. Guess it'll just have to be on my next visit to the Santa Barbara area. FYI - parking was in the shopping plaza. Free but looks like it can get packed - at least it was on a Friday at dinner. And I highly recommend making reservations.

This place was highly recommend by trip advisor and it is worth a visit if you're in the SB area. It is also Michelin recommend. Mafaldine alla gircia pasta- this was very creamy and delicious. I loved the house made noodles. Casitas Valley Sausage pizza - this was also a great dish to share. We got 2 slices each. Meatballs Alla Vodka - little under cooked but still delicious. The sauce is rich. Ricotta - it has egg plant it in and was wonderful especially with their house bread. Olive oil cake - we gor this to go, but it was might and fluffy. Service was great, we gor there an hour before closing and got sat outside. Although it was colder night the heat lamps were strong. There was plenty of parking and in a cute strip mall with other restaurants.

Bettina is one of our favorite restaurants in the Santa Barbara / Montecito area. The food is always delicious, the service is always friendly, and the outdoor patio is such a nice place to enjoy a meal. Some must-try menu items are the Whipped House Ricotta with the Wood-Fired Bread, the Meatballs "Alla Vodka", the Caesar Salad, the Pepperoni Pizza, and the Chocolate Chip Cookies. They also have seasonal pizzas that rotate on the menu. Some, unfortunately, never come back, so be sure to try the seasonal pizzas while they're available. We had the Penryn Bosc Pear Pizza the other day, and the Clam Pie today. The Pear Pizza was very good, but the Clam Pie was incredible, so if it's on the menu, I highly recommend ordering it. For dessert, your choices are a Passion Fruit Pavlova, an Olive Oil Cake, or Chocolate Chip Cookies. We've only tried the cookies, and they are divine! If you're looking for a great meal in the Santa Barbara area, be sure to check out Bettina!

A hidden gem tucked away in an outdoor strip mall, this small and intimate spot delivers far more than its unassuming location suggests. The service was warm and attentive -- especially helpful for first-timers -- guiding us toward some incredible menu choices. Now, onto the food. The Cacio e Pepe Arancini with Calabrian chile aioli and parmesan was outstanding -- perfectly crisp on the outside, melty and flavorful inside, and great for sharing. The Malfedine pesto pasta was divine, though the portion ran a bit small for the price. We also split the seasonal pear pizza, which struck a beautiful balance of creamy richness and the bright, fresh flavor of pear. As for dessert, the Passion Fruit Pavlova came highly recommended by our server and absolutely delivered -- bright, airy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, a cozy, flavor-packed dining experience that's easy to love and worth the splurge.

Ahhhh loved this place! It fulfilled my pizza craving after not having pizza in months. I checked Bettina out on Yelp prior to arrival and realized the notoriety of this eatery. So I was excited to try and really happy we were able to score a table on a Monday night. We had to sit outside but the hostess was kind enough to give me a blanket and turn the heaters on. We ordered two pizzas and the Caesar salad - everything was perfect! The service was awesome & we had an attentive waitress. It was a refreshing spot to try. I understand the greatness behind Bettina.

A friend of mine moved to the bay area a few years back and when she came back for a visit, she wanted to meet at Bettina for dinner. The 5 of us got 2 pepperoni pizza, a chanterelle pizza, a root's spinach pizza, and a burrata honeynut squash appetizer. Everything was delicious as expected. The chanterelle pizza was particularly popular with everyone. The savory chanterelle made the pizza taste lighter and balanced out the two types of cheese toppings. I also really liked the subtle lemon flavor in the root's spinach pizza. Burrata was accentuated by the sweetness of roasted squash and served with fantastic airy focaccia.

Is the number listed the one to make a reservation? Tried calling last couple of days without luck. Do they allow walk ins with a wait time? We are traveling from out of state so want to get an idea before heading there.

Is the lunch and dinner menu the same? For those who have dined here and ordered multiple pizzas…

Hi! Yes, at dinner we have a selection of 3 pastas available. At lunch we don't offer pastas but we always have a delicious sandwich option. Everything else is pretty much the same. Pepperoni and mushroom are out best sellers!

Do you have a gluten free crust?

Yes -- they make their own in-house. It's a little harder / chewier than the normal one but you could hardly tell the difference between the two.

    Is it kid friendly?

yes! but definitely a calm setting. If you kid can be quiet and respectful of people doing their work and homework, then yes.

I heard that you are now requiring vaccine passports to dine at your restaurant. Is this correct?

No we are not requiring vaccine cards.

Do you allow dogs on the patio?

    Yes we do! :)

What size are these pizzas? If you could estimate, how many people would one feed?

if you are only having pizza 1 is okay for two people. Better if you get a side or salad. We got two for two people, no sides and still had 1/2 a pizza left. So good you'll want to keep eating though

    Do they do take out?

    Yes!

On this fine March evening, we opted to sit outdoors. I was concerned with how much lighting there would be once the sun set but they didn't really have any four tops available inside for us. (In the end, the interior lights from the neighboring business helped illuminate our table that was directly in front of the restaurant, and not necessarily under the outside covered area.) After we put in our order and received the complimentary bread (with the provided olive oil), we were questioning whether we had ordered too much food. We attempted to ask the waiter if it was too much and he didn't really answer our question. And since there was only one table next to us and he was dining solo, it was hard to gauge the portion sizes. We ordered: * Antipasto Sampler Platter $19.95 - A generous selection from their deli case, perfect for sharing. The butter bean with tuna salad was a first for me and has me thinking of how to incorporate more butter beans in my diet. Other items included grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant, mixed olives, farro salad, green beans, salami, tomato and mozzarella. * Bucatini all'Amatriciana $22.95 - We opted for this as it was a described as a traditional dish from he Lazio region. It was enjoyed by all. * Linguine con Vongole $26.95 - Next to arrive was the linguine, which was the absolute favorite for us all. It was light, filled with clams, and just had a great taste overall. * Farfalle al Pesto $19.95 - The Little Gal wanted pesto, but this version was so heavy. It was exhausting to eat and probably our least favorite. * Polenta Del Montanaro $21.95 - The mushrooms and polenta sounded amazing, but again this was very heavy for us. There were also a few hard bits of polenta mixed in. It was just overwhelming in not the best way. Overall, the portions are HUGE and just perfect for sharing. We would have dreaded being stuck with one dish on our own as it's just too much. We were also concerned about the $3.95 split charge fee that may apply, hence why we went with four entrees. You can easily get your fill with a few items here without breaking the bank. I can definitely see why they have such great ratings. The restroom is located in the back, so you do need to walk outside to access the restroom. I guess this avoids having you walk through the kitchen to get there. Service was fine. We did have one primary waiter but the other staff stepped in when necessary. It was pretty busy for a weekday evening, at least for all the outside tables. Since it's a bit away from the touristy area, you do get a sense there are more locals enjoying this spot.

I suspect we will be back at SBI's restaurant and bar again based upon the great experience we had earlier today. Thank you Devin for the great work and service!

After a beautiful day at East Beach, my boyfriend and I finally made it to Convivo. We arrived…read morearound 3:00 PM ready to order specific items I'd seen on Yelp, but I was sadly informed that they change menus daily and the dishes I wanted were only on their '5 o'clock menu.' Thankfully, I realized it was still happy hour, so we got excited and ordered a bunch of drinks and appetizers! The Bucatini, Lamb Meatballs, and Quadrati Rigati were all wonderful. However, the layout is a bit strange. I found it a bit odd they would put the hotel swimming pool right next to the patio dining area. There were a gaggle of overweight half nude guests flaunting their new tan lines which made me a little sick, so I decided to move further away from that area. If you need the restroom, they are a bit of a trek: walk past the bar area, make a right, and follow the long hallway to the very end. It's a great spot for food, just be mindful of the menu timing and where you choose to sit!

From the food to the service to the ambience, all of it was truly an amazing experience. Food - We got the patatas bravas and the paella verde. Both were phenomenal. I have tried ~4 other vegan paellas and was originally skeptical going into this, but Loquita's paella was by far the best vegan paella I've ever had! The attention to detail is what made the dish shine. It had perfectly tender mushrooms and artichokes as well as the delicious vegan cream on top. They were able to make the dish smoky and delicious. Dessert - We got the crème brûlée and the pistachio ice cream. Both were truly wonderful, when I go back I will order both of these again! Vibe and Staff - Super cute and romantic vibe, perfect for a nice date. The staff was super attentive and even gave me a little postcard for my birthday! Definitely worth the visit :)

It is good food but overhyped IMO. $16 for patatas bravas is a bit on the silly end. lts also one of thoses places that defaults to 20% tip on the low end. I have no problem with paying a 20% tip but the service was poor on my visit. We gave one instructions/request that were just completely disregarded. Very little in terms of service other than attempts to upsell with more Tapas when we were done. Sorry, just being honest.
