Wow. I cannot believe HOW GOOD their pasta is. The bolognese was good, but the Gorgonzola gnocchi was out of this world. Best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Rich, creamy, and cheesy, it was like eating a fluffy cloud. I cannot stress how important it is that you experience what I went through last night. Side note - I tried the salmon bow tie and it really wasn't that great. Disappointing when everything else was incredible. But hey, you win some, you lose some.

The octopus has small portion considered the price $24 I like the salmon piccata, it's has great flavor and the potatoes are delicious. The mushroom risotto is also good!

I ordered takeout from Mizza before heading to the airport. The decor inside and out was nice, staff was friendly and food came out within a reasonable time despite it being pretty busy. I was shocked at the size of my risotto and the huge portion of meaty lobster it came with! So good. And also shocked at how big my pizza was. So many options to choose from but I was glad I tried the peach one because it was on the lighter side. I definitely overordered as I didnt anticipate so much food but happy to have leftovers for 2 more days :). Would definitely love to sit and eat outside next time and try more things!

Comfy outdoor dining experience, good service. The short ribs is must try. Lobster risotto is also pretty good. The price tags might seem a bit high but the portion is decent. We got these two only and it was enough for two adults and two toddlers, with the complementary bread (which is super good by the way! Crispy and flavorful) Note: theres a 3.5% credit card fee.

What a delightful restaurant, our waiter David was friendly, efficient and so knowledgeable making our experience so memorable, thank you David! A beautiful sunny day in Santa Barbara, Mizza had a perfect outdoor seating area. Plenty of space for our party of 6 and lots of indoor seating as well. We started with Tuscan Dip that was a perfect bit that came with ciabatta bread but be sure to order more ciabatta bread as it was so yummy, we ordered the Creamery pesto with smoked chicken that was creamy and delicious, the Fettuccine Bolognese with fresh pasta that was scrumptious be sure to add some chili flakes will take it to another level!! We also ordered the Spicy shrimp with vodka sauce that was really tasty. My youngest ordered a Side Caesar salad and a Kids butter and cheese pasta salad that was phenomenal!! What an fantastic meal and the service was exceptional!

The finest cuisine, incredible ambiance and the most attentive staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant and it happens with each visit to Mizza. Today it was our joy to see Issac who came over to say hello to us and ask how we were and what has been going on since last we saw him. We briefly chatted about everything we could before he had to attend to his tables. We inquired about T and Xavier and sent our best regards. Then we met Raphaela who was new to us but not new to Mizza as she has been there for five years. She is as proficient as she is kind hearted and treated us like we've known each other forever. This is what makes Mizza so special and why we travel almost two hours to eat, imbibe and enjoy our meals there. Before we order our main course, it's time for my Black Manhattan which is perfection in a glass. We followed this with their delicious Caesar Salad. The exacting combination of flavors blended to make an excellent beginning to a fine entree to follow. We were in heaven with our Salmon Piccata and Spicy Shrimp. The flavorful spices and ingredients in these dishes makes us wish we lived closer so we can dine on these exemplary delights more often but it only serves to make us look forward even more each time we make the trip there. As it was my birthday, I told Issac if he comes out with a slice of cake, I'm going to sing with him and the staff. I've included the video here. Gluten Free is no problem for Mizza as they accommodate from the first course to the dessert. They also have Gluten Free bread. Such care for their customers. Make no mistake, if you are in Santa Barbara and are looking for the best that this delightful town has to offer you in the world of fine food, this is your number one stop. Don't hesitate, Mizza is it!

The pasta is definitely one of the best I ever had around the world. Cozy and relaxing vibe, everybody who works here with a good spirit.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant and I hope the owner addresses it. Service: The worst service I've ever experienced from the two hostess working on December 6th (7pm -9pm) which completely RUINED our night. We were told by the two female hostess (one brunette and one blonde) that there would be a 25 minute wait time which we completely understood. We entered the wait list at 7:16pm but we were seated at 8:13pm. We were informed that it may take a bit longer because we wanted to sit inside which we understood. However, when we were informed by Yelp that were first in line, we continued to wait another 20+ minutes. What made it worse was the fact that the hostess led two parties INSIDE whom had just arrived. This makes no sense as we were first on the waitlist. The two hostess, especially the blonde one from the beginning of the night did not have a good tone or attitude towards my party. After waiting for over an hour, the brunette hostess led us inside to a dirty table that was meant for a party of 6. This made me question the restaurants staff training, why would they have not checked if the table was cleared and cleaned before bringing us there? Furthermore, we were a party of 2, being seated at a table of 6 would not make sense. The hostess said that she could seat us OUTSIDE after we had already waited another hour. If we were going to be seated outside at the end of the night, what was the point of waiting more? The table was extremely rocky and on a slope. I am BEYOND disappointed and will not be returning. Our server (another blonde girl) was amazing but the hostesses ruined our night. It seems like many customers have had terrible experiences with their hostesses based on the reviews. I hope the management addresses this because no one deserved the treatment that we received. Food: The food was not bad but the crust/dough was very rough.

My sister wanted pizza so we stumbled upon Mizza and tried it out Checked in with the hostess at the podium and our party of 5 was seated right away for lunch time. Indoor and outdoor seating available here. We sat outside and the tables felt a bit unclean and sticky. I shared the Mushroom Truffle Pizza and was definitely sharable size. Loved the mushroom flavor, pizza could of used more truffle oil or flavor on it. Crust wasn't too thick and overall pizza wasn't too greasy -which was good. Service was overall friendly, attentive. Although we had to ask twice for chili oil. Overall, if in the area, I'd give this place another try. Live street music playing just a few feet away from our table added to the whole ambiance of the place, made for a nice afternoon in SB.

Tavon was one of the best servers we have ever had! He had such a great personal connection with us as well as all of his tables that I noticed. We sat outside in the from area which was so beautiful next to heaters and in the heart of SB on state street. All of the food we got was amazing. The Tuscan dip was so amazing I'm still dreaming about it. My boyfriend is gluten free and T got a great alternative to bread for him which was so nice! The filet was tender and the potatoes were perfectly crisp and soft. The veggies were so steamed and soft just how I like it! We had such a great time we ended up coming back because I was looking for a sauv blanc from New Zeland and none of the other places that we popped out head in had any! T served us again and again we had the best experience!!! We will for sure be coming back to Mizza thanks to Tavon treating us like family and the food being so fantastic!

I recommend you order pasta at this lovely Italian spot. It's cooked perfectly al dente and they have an array of sauces. The service was fine, the decor is simple and a little rustic, they have inside & plenty of outside seating. The pasta was cooked perfectly & the pizza dough was good too. I will say that I wish they sliced their mushrooms instead of quartering them because I felt like my bites had too much mushroom to chew through on the pizza. To be fair I ordered the mushroom truffle pizza (which barely had a truffle taste..disappointing) & spicy shrimp pasta (which I didn't realized had a lot of mushrooms too). I still loved my pasta and just ate around the shrooms. Overall, everyone in my party was happy with the meal. I would consider coming back here while visiting SB and definitely recommend it if someone was looking for good pasta on State St.

My friends and I stumbled upon Mizza for a late lunch, and boy were we lucky to. Mizza's stellar food left a most noteworthy memory. Food: 5/5 I had the spicy shrimp vodka sauce pasta and it was absolutely divine. The food came out hot, which is important for a pasta dish! I loved this recipe, which boasted a complimentary combination of ingredients -- mushroom, prosciutto, shrimp -- coated generously in the pink vodka sauce. When I tell you the food was *perfectly* seasoned? You really can't get that at every restaurant! Service: 4/5 The servers were great and seated us quickly. No refills on the drinks whilst dining left a bit to be desired, but this definitely didn't take away from the positive experience. Ambiance: 4/5 We sat outside in the patio area in front of the restaurant. It was rather windy and chilly; if there's a way that heating lamps or something could be added, I think that'd definitely enhance the dining experience. MIZZA IS A MUST WHILST IN SANTA BARBARA!

It is a small space so we were seated very close to two other tables (the kind of close where it's hard to focus on your own convo). We ordered the Caesar Salad to start. I feel like I've had this exact salad (as in gem lettuce, breadcrumbs, lemony dressing) other places executed a little better. The breadcrumbs were almost too hard creating a grainy/sandy texture rather than a nice crunch. Good flavor though. We also got the Meatballs "Alla Vodka." This was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband thought they could've used more of a binder but personally I liked that they felt more meaty than bready. I recommend using the spoon to eat the meatballs so you get enough sauce with each bite. Don't want any of that delicious sauce to go to waste! We got the pepperoni pizza for our entree. This pizza was just okay to me based on my personal preferences so take this with a grain of salt! I'm not the biggest sourdough person and since the pizza is fermented it has a similar flavor. I also wish that the pizza was a little less charred. I think it was more burnt on top than charred but maybe that's what they're going for and I'm just not the audience. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza with the house ranch. I really enjoyed this bc I prefer a dill-heavy ranch and this definitely delivered that! Overall, solid meal and would come back. Our server was a little awkward but didn't really affect our experience all that much.

Margherita pizze was good too- don't wait too long to eat it the cheese will solidify and lose that stretchy creaminess. Basil was a nice touch and not too spicy overpowering Mare chiaro pizze was a long time favorite. Unfortunately halfway through eating the pizza noticed there were no clam pieces to be found. We asked the server and she mentioned they had run out. To make up for this, a free dessert was comped. Added bonus order- crepes Crespella à la Nutella: this means heaven in your mouth lol. Was able to watch the cook make it from start to finish (such a friendly guy too!) server also added ice cream on the side and man this was amazing with added sparkles of goodness! Overall a wonderful reunion of flavor and good memories. It's always a delight to come and dine here- thank you for the friendly service and delicious food!

Not only was the food delicious, the owner and location are also wonderful. The man is in love with Jesus and it shows. He puts a lot of care in the food he makes. They use imported flour from Italy and other quality ingredients. We ordered 2 different pizzas and a order of garlic bread and salad. Every thing was hot and fresh The garlic bread and pepperoni pizza were fire. I didn't try the veggie pie, but my wife said it was also delicious. We cant wait to go back and vist. One of the best hand tossed pies around. Go see them ASAP.

From the first bite, I knew this was something special. The flavor, the crust, the freshness -- hands down some of the best pizza I've ever had. I even had the chance to meet the owner and his son, which made the experience that much better. Super genuine people. We caught him filming a Valentine's TikTok while we were there -- great vibes all around. It was so good, I went back for lunch one day and dinner the next. And yes... I bought an extra pie to take back home and enjoy throughout the week. If you're in Santa Barbara and love pizza, this spot is a must.
