Thanksgiving at Arnoldi's I felt compelled to be there after so many years. I started with the Chainti wine a side salad and their homemade bread. My entree was Lasagna. From the moment I arrived I was welcomed and remembered as I had called and requested to sit at the Bar. Extremely happy with the service. Arnoldi's has always maintained a special atmosphere with old world atmosphere. Arnoldi's is a Iconic Restaurant homegrown. Thanks the Great Santa Barbara experience. Ronnie S

Really cute environment and nice staff! Good for big parties. There are options for most. We had a large party and they were pretty fast. Chicken was a little dry but overall good experience

Definitely highly recommend coming here if you want great Italian food plus an amazing setting. The food was amazing! We ordered everything and it was all amazing. My favorite was mine.... . I got the Spaghetti Carbonara. The service here was great as well we were always tended to and kept an eye on. The outdoor patio was absolutely beautiful at night.

I love the beautiful garden in the back.

I'm a wedding vendor who has been to hundreds of venues. This past weekend I was booked for a wedding at Arnoldi's Café for the first time and I'm so glad I was a part of this special celebration at a special place. There is just something magical about weddings at Arnoldi's Café, it's tucked into the charm of Santa Barbara, every celebration there feels intimate, timeless and full of love. The team was very well organized, I was able to set up very easily and seamless which makes all the difference on a big wedding day. The staff was very helpful, they even offered to help me with all my equipment. It was truly a pleasure working with a well organized and professional team. Big shoutout to Casey, Ruben and waitstaff! The food was fantastic and perfect. They serve the bruschetta's which is my favorite appetizer. I also love the chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. If you' are planning a wedding definitely reach out to the team, I highly recommend them!

Fried calamari which was a bit chewy but was flavorful.

Highly rated Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara. Located in a neighborhood and seems to have been around a while. A little dated but a full bar and a nice sized dining room. Has a big dining area for large parties in back. The entire staff was very nice and we chatted with Our busboy who was a nice young guy. Amani? Said when he was younger kids called him Manny. Very personable. Our waiter was efficient and the hostess were very friendly. The service all and all was great. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Tucked away on a corner in a neighborhood, it seems to be a fixture and around a long time (or maybe that is the decor vibe). Surprisingly a young man working the valet parking on a Thursday night. The restaurant was quiet at 7pm. We were told to pick our table. Food was fine. We got the bruschetta as an appetizer and the bread was soggy from the tomato, a few minutes in the toaster or oven would have helped. The bread for the table was not crispy, almost moist. Fettuccini Alfredo was one. I opted to forgo the chicken because I couldn't spend over $30 for the meal. Other pastas were fine, the seafood pasta came with a generous amount of seafood. They did accommodate a food preference, removing the pepper from the pasta primavera. We did not get dessert, rather pricy and after the mediocre meal felt it would be better to pass.

Staff is great--the more I've come here the more familiar faces that know me and always give a warm welcome. That chicken Milanese on the special menu is soooooooo good. And that lavender drink!

Oldest Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara, right in the heart of a neighborhood we walked from State Street. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest they were packed probably as usual so we sat at the bar great customer service great friendly fun atmosphere. The ambience was old school. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. Definitely will be returning to try more on the menu. Thank you guys. We loved it.

    Love the old school sign.

Arnoldi's is a cool spot. The restaurant is old school, with New York Italian vibes. The servers are always very nice and the food is excellent. My wife had the linguine with clams and I had the Tuscan chicken, and it was all delicious. The servers were especially friendly and the vibe was fun. Definitely a great spot to get together with friends and/or family. You should check it out!

Ask the Community - Arnoldi’s Cafe

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes we have gluten free pasta and a delicious gluten free red velvet cake as of now, the cake is seasonal but we do have GF pasta, however we are not a certified gluten free kitchen :)

How large are the half orders vs the full orders for pastas? It's hard to tell.

A half order of pasta would easily feed 1 person, especially with appetizer, salad and or dessert. Not sure exactly how to answer your question, sorry- but a half order… Read more

Will you be open on New Year's Eve for dinner? If so, what are the hours?

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes they do.

I know it's early to ask, but will they be open December 22nd or December 23rd 2022? Looking to book a holiday dinner for a small group :)

    No. They closed the business.

Is gluten free option for pasta available?

    Yes it is ;)

    Do they have vegan options?

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. Passionfruit forward, it's silky, sweet yet very well balanced. One of the more unique and tasty cocktails I've had ever and honestly I'm not sure how I could come back and get anything else. 10/10 Cocktail and menu. Super impressed. Kudos to Mark who was working the bar. Such a lovely spirit and kind person. He really is passionate about his menu and the drinks he's curated. Loved talking to him as we got to know a lot more about Pearl social and how some of their drinks were concerted. Really appreciated his time and expertise. Anytime I'm in the funk zone I will 100% be stopping back by here for a cocktail and good vibes.

Located right next to the Granada Theater on the main drag, it looked to have undergone recent renovations and had a very chill but stylish ambiance. There was plenty of seating on a Wednesday night, and our bartender was a friendly young woman. The hubby got the spiced rum old fashioned, which had an ice cube with a lion's face etched onto it--a nice touch. I got one of their tiny Negronis, which came in a cute tiny mug and cost $5 (it sounded fun). Both tasted great and we had a nice time sipping our drinks and taking in the decor. Alas we had to be on our way so couldn't linger long, but we'd definitely love to stop by again the next time we're in town.

This location is in the heart of the Funk Zone near the pier in Santa Barbara. When we approached the location, we saw that they were only offering drinks outside on the patio- as the temps were ok on Saturday in early September, we felt ok sitting on a small patio on lounge chairs with relaxing music in the background. The patio is in the back of Cutler's that can be entered around the corner (map on the front door of Cutler's shows the directions). The patio is next to other tasting room patios featuring wine and next door to Lark's restaurant. When we visited the tasting room at about 3pm in the afternoon, we were the only individuals there but started to fill up with other small groups. When a large group entered, the waitress said you will need a reservation as she was only wait staff there. Perhaps a sign is needed to notify people, that groups need reservations. The drinks were spot on- the drinks started at 14 dollars to about 16 dollars for cocktails. The tasting room also offers tastings of their products too. The tastings looked small. The cocktails were well poured. I was just disappointed to find out that I could not get a Bloody Mary on a Saturday- only Sundays- the Bloody Mary looked really good. If you are done with wine, and seeking something different, come relax on the patio here if your vibe is a low key environment with solid distillery cocktails.
