    Lyer'ita No Nada

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Chill vibey bar with good drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came here on a Friday around 6pm and the wait time was only 5 mins or so after ordering. We ordered two mocktail drinks Lyer'ita and No Nada. The Lyer'ita was very tart and tasted like juice. The No Nada tasted like alcohol. My girlfriend was taking a break from alcohol and these were great alternatives. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service and smaller relaxed bar for great conversations in the heart of downtown SB.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lyer'ita: 4/5 No Nada: 4/5

Cody is a FANTASTIC bartender! I had a flight of Mezcal and ended the night with Morning Dew. WE LOOOOOOOOOVED AND I MEAN LOVED MORNING DEW. Absolutely fantastic drink!!!!!! So smooth and refreshing and dangerous lol... [[HIGHLIGHT]]super friendly and calm atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great music too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had such a great experience! All three bartenders were incredibly sweet, kind, and attentive, we had such a genuine conversation about life while they were making our drinks, which made the night even more special. Big shoutout to Cindy, Cody, and Shilo for making our experience amazing, you all truly made our evening!

Came here on a Friday right when they opened to start the weekend. We were welcomed in by Michael behind the bar and he started in on making our first round of drinks. They were both amazing! We also ordered the whipped feta and toast. It was packed with flavor and a perfect light bite to compliment the cocktails. We ordered a second round and he even made an off menu drink for my husband. If you are looking for some amazing drinks stop in this place!

Dusk is an excellent bar located within the Drift Hotel. We were extremely pleased that this was attached to our hotel, and we visited it multiple times during our stay. They have multiple happy hours and special nights during the week that allow you to get high-quality cocktails at a reasonable price. One of my favorites was the Oaxan old fashioned. We also got the whipped ricotta dish, which was incredible--a perfect bar snack. The bartenders were kind, particularly Will, and spent time telling us about the best spots in Santa Barbara. Overall, I highly recommend this bar and would come here even if we weren't staying at the attached hotel.

Into the sky sans the smoke bubble

I'm drawn to pretty drinks and made my daughter and her friends come with. They went out the night before and still had the "no alcohol" mindset. They didn't want to drink and maybe that should have been my sign. Let me reiterate again, I only drink alcohol when it's aesthetically presented beautifully. I opted for into the sky because the description clearly stated "cloud of smoke" and the pics on yelp proved this. Well my drink got slapped with a flower instead...okayyy?! One might say who cares, as long as it's alcohol but that's not my motto! I hate when descriptions and pics don't match reality. Also, service was kinda weird, in the process of making our drinks the bartender closed out 2 tabs. like finish making our drinks first, no?!! Instead of stopping mid. So this was my experience, reading other reviews, I'm sure they beg to differ.

My friend and I came here after dinner since we were staying at this hotel and wanted to check out their bar scene. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the aesthetic of the bar, it is so warm, cozy, and small but intimate with the dim lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's bar seating and another long table behind the bar for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came on a Thursday night around 8PM and it was practically empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender was really nice and chatted with us about his favorite spots of SB that we should check out and made our drinks. We got their mint mojito (5/5) and it was really good! Not too strong with the alcohol and the presentation was beautiful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After a while, more people starting rolling in so this place does get crowded after a certain hour, but it was still really enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend checking this place out!

Delicious cocktails from a skilled bartender. Ambiance is lovely and it was so convenient- right in our hotel and on the Main Street. Lovely happy hour specials. Our bartender even recommended other great places- the Good Lion, Test Pilot, Pickle Room, and Shaker Mill.

Ah huevo and Oaxacan old fashioned

We happened to be in town for their 1 year anniversary. Im not sure if the menu was different for this event but everything we had was worth ordering again. Ordered the Oaxacan old fashioned which was very strong! Really good but strong! Hubby ordered the ah huevo which let me tell you was amazing! The flavors and aromatics were on point. So good that I traded with hubby and ordered two more rounds of this. I really hope this drink is on their regular menu! Oysters were on the menu so why not?! There were 2 kinds so we ordered 4 of each which were topped with a house mignonette and micro cilantro. These oysters were incredible! The simple dressing over fresh oysters were amazing. We ended up ordering more because they were that good. Service was great, such a friendly cozy vibe. Small dark bar with few seating but worth it if you can get a seat. Will definitely be back.

baja oysters & 2 no nada mocktails

Stayed at the Drift Hotel on a girls trip to Santa Barbara and was able to stop by Dusk Bar. I absolutely love the concept of having Dawn Cafe during the day and Dusk Bar at night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was beautiful, modern, and aesthetically pleasing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We chose outdoor seating and got the best of both worlds, where we were near the bar and also amidst the night life of the street.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workers were quick to notice us, get us seated, and did a great job at explaining any questions we had. Our orders arrived to the table promptly after. My friend and I ordered the baja oysters and 2 no nada mocktails. The baja oysters were the best oysters I've ever had. The oysters were fresh and the sauce that they came with were so delicious. It had just the right mix of citrus, spice, and sweetness. I hope to be able to come back to SB for these again! The no nada mocktails weren't my favorite. They had a slight bitter aftertaste that made the drink fall short. I had a great experience here at Dusk Bar.

Yassssss! A bar with an extensive tequila and mezcal collection! And I do not mean your mainstream brands. They procure their inventory from family owned businesses and small business. Not only do they have an extensive collection but their cocktails are delicious and quality! The mixes that they use are natural fruit and beautifully crafted. The price point is typical for around town but it is well worth it. The bartenders are extremely friendly and take pride the cocktails that they make. They have a few bites on the menu so don't come expecting to have a meal and cocktail. Their menu includes tuna ceviche, olives and oysters. They also have slushies with alcohol that have flavor switch outs. Perfect place to stop by for a cocktail or two and or a flight to taste the extensive tequilas and mezcal they have to offer.

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. The exterior doesn't scream "must come in" but you absolutely should. Is it a tiki bar? Yes, but in the best way. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. Passionfruit forward, it's silky, sweet yet very well balanced. One of the more unique and tasty cocktails I've had ever and honestly I'm not sure how I could come back and get anything else. 10/10 Cocktail and menu. Super impressed. Kudos to Mark who was working the bar. Such a lovely spirit and kind person. He really is passionate about his menu and the drinks he's curated. Loved talking to him as we got to know a lot more about Pearl social and how some of their drinks were concerted. Really appreciated his time and expertise. But I just had to vent because this really made me angry especially on a night when we were out to celebrate my husband's birthday with the family. The patio is in the back of Cutler's that can be entered around the corner (map on the front door of Cutler's shows the directions). The patio is next to other tasting room patios featuring wine and next door to Lark's restaurant. When we visited the tasting room at about 3pm in the afternoon, we were the only individuals there but started to fill up with other small groups. When a large group entered, the waitress said you will need a reservation as she was only wait staff there. Perhaps a sign is needed to notify people, that groups need reservations. The drinks were spot on- the drinks started at 14 dollars to about 16 dollars for cocktails. The tasting room also offers tastings of their products too. The tastings looked small. The cocktails were well poured. I was just disappointed to find out that I could not get a Bloody Mary on a Saturday- only Sundays- the Bloody Mary looked really good. My bestie (and yelp elite) Imo brought me here for a girls day after raving about it for months, and now I completely understand the hype. We grabbed seats at the bar (which is honestly the place to be, especially since this spot gets busy on the weekends). Hint hint: make a reservation or get here early. But overall the bar was the perfect place to people watch and to catch up. When it comes to service, impeccable. Despite being busy everyone was attentive and the drinks/food were well placed despite it being a full house. And can we talk about the bartenders? They were so welcoming and even let us film while they worked their magic making cocktails. Watching them crank out cocktails with so much flair was half the entertainment and they couldn't have been nicer. Service was definitely a 10/10. We enjoyed a few margaritas but my favorite was definitely the Hibiscus Margarita. It wasn't overly sweet and was just refreshing. I also had the tamarind Marg which was good too. Extensive cocktail menu and mezcal if you like it. The food absolutely lived up to the drinks. Santo Mezcal takes classic Mexican flavors and gives them a slightly elevated twist while still keeping everything comforting and approachable. My friend couldn't stop talking about her Pork Belly Tacos and I fell in love with the Shrimp Enchiladas. They were loaded with fresh shrimp and covered in the most incredible creamy chipotle sauce (same as their sister restaurant Los agaves for reference). Definitely one of my favorite enchiladas around, 10/10 also. One thing I wasn't expecting is that their chips and salsa might be some of the best I've had. The tortilla chips were fresh, warm, perfectly salted, and paired with a salsa so good I probably ate two bowls before our food even arrived. Honestly, you could sit at the bar with a basket of chips, salsa, and margaritas for hours and be completely happy. Make sure you don't pass up on the chips and salsa. As noted, this is a more elevated Mexican restaurant so prices are slightly more $$$ but you get what you pay for. Just worth noting because if you equate good Mexican food being $2 tacos and a bucket of beer, this spot won't do it for you. But if you want something for more of a special occasion where the food, vibes and service are A+ then this spot is for you.
