California Omelette with fruit instead of potatoes

We stayed at this hotel so thought it easiest to eat here the morning of our departure. We're sad we didn't try it earlier. It was so good! Service was friendly. The food was fresh and fast. Coffee was left in a carafe so you could pour your own refills, it was amazing. Highly recommend this place. We were able to sit right on the water almost.

So it's been 4.5 years now and still a favorite SB restaurant! The menu has changed multiple times since we started coming but each time they do, we lose some favorites and discover some new ones! Currently they have a delectable Mediterranean focused menu. The Branzino was mouthwatering, seasoned & cooked to perfection. The Mezzanine Platter was perfection, the service is always warm & wonderful. The drinks are always so good, we always swear just to have one drink each and often leave with 3 drinks down each. The bartenders know what they're doing. The ambience is chic and cozy, we love our spot in the back corner. Trust me, this hidden gem is worth it, you won't be disappointed!

[Food//Breakfast Menu] - Classic Breakfast ($23): Comes with two eggs any style, choice of applewood-smoked bacon, pork sausage patty, or griddled chicken sausage, crispy yukon gold breakfast potatoes, herb-roasted tomato, country toast house-made. I shared this with my bf choosing scrambled eggs & applewood-smoked bacon. No complaints from me! I enjoyed every bite! I made an open faced toast with all the ingredients along with a splash of Cholula sauce. It was enough to fill both my bf and I up! [Service] - Friendly, attentive, helpful [Ambiance] - Love the interior and exterior decor/architecture! [Overall] - If I do visit Santa Barbara again I'd want to try out their dinner menu!

Had a great happy hour at Costa Kitchen & Bar, located within the Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful and the pizza was a solid choice to share. Enjoyed some refreshing cocktails and cold beers while taking in a beautiful sunset view. The ambiance was laid back yet upscale making it a perfect spot to unwind by the beach. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed evening with good food and drinks! Check out my visit @sosalicious805 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG9f5sSJOxT/?igsh=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA==

Came here during happy hour and then got a table for dinner/appetizers. Brent was a pleasure and made a delicious margarita (or two). Our waiter Paul was a fun guy and made our visit here feel even more worthwhile. We ordered the baby lamb chops and mezza platter, and couldn't be more pleased with quality and portions. We will probably be back this week for a repeat of the same thing. Hopefully Brent and Paul, and kitchen staff will be there when we return.

A long walk along the sea front was followed by a truly spectacular supper at Costas. We were Warmly greeted by Nayeli, who was both attentive and courteous. She stopped by our table and made sure everything was to our liking, and It really was The salmon with wild rice, quinoa, and snap peas was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Great service. Inside is really cute but we sat outside for the beach front view. It was nice weather on an August Sunday. Everything we ordered was delicious. Initially came for the whole branzino but didn't see it on the menu. Got the branzino filet instead and it did not disappoint, absolutely delicious! The "best tri tip" box kept calling out to me so I had to order it. Highly recommend. Beef check pappardelle was nice and tender.

Costa Kitchen is the on-site restaurant for the Mar Monte Hotel. I'm usually not big on hotel restaurants but Costa Kitchen was quite good during our stay. We only had breakfast here but I would definitely recommend breakfast here and if you sit in patio area, you will get amazing views of the Ocean. They have a very wide selection of breakfast options and an open bar for breakfast as well. I got the Omelette with chicken apple sausage. My first impression of my meal was that everything seemed farm fresh. The potatoes were the real treat as it was well seasoned with a nice crisp texture to them. Service was very responsive and friendly. Next time we stay at the Mar Monte we will definitely be visiting Costa Kitchen for our breakfast needs.

We had breakfast at Coasta Kitchen & Bar since we stayed with the Mar Monte Hotel. Back to 2020, when we stayed here. Costa was still in the renovation. We had breakfast near the pool area. This time, they opened for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We got our balcony table. The breakfast was pretty good. I ordered Steak and Eggs ($32). The grill Prime NY steak was great, not salty and dry. The crispy potatoes were so delicious. The country toast with their homemade jam was an excellent combination. The Classic Breakfast ($22) was great, too. The pork sausage patty was so tasty and delicious. The seasonal fruit & berries ($13) were great, it has 10 different types of fruits. The service was great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. Who doesn't want a good breakfast with fresh ocean air to start a day. We really enjoyed the food and morning time at Coasta and definitely will visit again.

Located right inside the Mar Monte Hotel, this spot is a gem. We stopped in for breakfast and a light dinner, and everything was fantastic. The avocado toast is a must-try--so fresh and flavorful! Service was outstanding, especially from Ryan and Danny. Danny also makes an incredible lemon drop martini, and the bar has an upscale vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming. Truly a great experience all around!

Included with a stay at the Mar Monte hotel, order off their extensive menu, and charge it to your room, and it gets offset by the breakfast credit on your hotel bill, at least that is my understanding. In any case, our breakfasts were delicious. My chocolate croissant was still warm, flaky, and filled with chocolate (the most important part). My omelet was served straight off the griddle and served with homemade potatoes. Regan's service was very friendly and attentive, with just the right amount of checkbacks to make sure we had what we needed. Located at the far end of the hotel, there are outdoor tables overlooking East Beach. and an easy walk to the zoo. Rather than standing in a long line at the zoo snackbar, this place is a great alternative.

Really cool coastal vibe! Found this spot on Opulist and was happy to get to try it. I had their Brussels sprouts which were different than most, adding peppers and onions giving it more of a Baja flair. Their focaccia was really good with olive oil and vinegar. I had the chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies and thought it was pretty tasty! I also tried the locals martini which has olive brine and pickle juice but the pickles wasn't over powering. Great spot for a hotel restaurant!

On this fine March evening, we opted to sit outdoors. I was concerned with how much lighting there would be once the sun set but they didn't really have any four tops available inside for us. (In the end, the interior lights from the neighboring business helped illuminate our table that was directly in front of the restaurant, and not necessarily under the outside covered area.) After we put in our order and received the complimentary bread (with the provided olive oil), we were questioning whether we had ordered too much food. We attempted to ask the waiter if it was too much and he didn't really answer our question. And since there was only one table next to us and he was dining solo, it was hard to gauge the portion sizes. We ordered: * Antipasto Sampler Platter $19.95 - A generous selection from their deli case, perfect for sharing. The butter bean with tuna salad was a first for me and has me thinking of how to incorporate more butter beans in my diet. Other items included grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant, mixed olives, farro salad, green beans, salami, tomato and mozzarella. * Bucatini all'Amatriciana $22.95 - We opted for this as it was a described as a traditional dish from he Lazio region. It was enjoyed by all. * Linguine con Vongole $26.95 - Next to arrive was the linguine, which was the absolute favorite for us all. It was light, filled with clams, and just had a great taste overall. * Farfalle al Pesto $19.95 - The Little Gal wanted pesto, but this version was so heavy. It was exhausting to eat and probably our least favorite. * Polenta Del Montanaro $21.95 - The mushrooms and polenta sounded amazing, but again this was very heavy for us. There were also a few hard bits of polenta mixed in. It was just overwhelming in not the best way. Overall, the portions are HUGE and just perfect for sharing. We would have dreaded being stuck with one dish on our own as it's just too much. We were also concerned about the $3.95 split charge fee that may apply, hence why we went with four entrees. You can easily get your fill with a few items here without breaking the bank. I can definitely see why they have such great ratings. The restroom is located in the back, so you do need to walk outside to access the restroom. I guess this avoids having you walk through the kitchen to get there. Service was fine. We did have one primary waiter but the other staff stepped in when necessary. It was pretty busy for a weekday evening, at least for all the outside tables. Since it's a bit away from the touristy area, you do get a sense there are more locals enjoying this spot.

It is a small space so we were seated very close to two other tables (the kind of close where it's hard to focus on your own convo). We ordered the Caesar Salad to start. I feel like I've had this exact salad (as in gem lettuce, breadcrumbs, lemony dressing) other places executed a little better. The breadcrumbs were almost too hard creating a grainy/sandy texture rather than a nice crunch. Good flavor though. We also got the Meatballs "Alla Vodka." This was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband thought they could've used more of a binder but personally I liked that they felt more meaty than bready. I recommend using the spoon to eat the meatballs so you get enough sauce with each bite. Don't want any of that delicious sauce to go to waste! We got the pepperoni pizza for our entree. This pizza was just okay to me based on my personal preferences so take this with a grain of salt! I'm not the biggest sourdough person and since the pizza is fermented it has a similar flavor. I also wish that the pizza was a little less charred. I think it was more burnt on top than charred but maybe that's what they're going for and I'm just not the audience. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza with the house ranch. I really enjoyed this bc I prefer a dill-heavy ranch and this definitely delivered that! Overall, solid meal and would come back. Our server was a little awkward but didn't really affect our experience all that much.
