Food is delicious! Can see how much detail and effort the chef put into the dishes. The avocado toast is tasty. The smashed avocado has some seeds mixed in which adds extra flavors and textures. I think also some lemon juice inside. The fruit and berries plate for the kids has ten diff fruits even includes permission. The classic breakfast is equally amazing with generous portion. Plus side is that outdoor patio is dog friendly and can see the sea and beach.

So it's been 4.5 years now and still a favorite SB restaurant! The menu has changed multiple times since we started coming but each time they do, we lose some favorites and discover some new ones! Currently they have a delectable Mediterranean focused menu. The Branzino was mouthwatering, seasoned & cooked to perfection. The Mezzanine Platter was perfection, the service is always warm & wonderful. The drinks are always so good, we always swear just to have one drink each and often leave with 3 drinks down each. The bartenders know what they're doing. The ambience is chic and cozy, we love our spot in the back corner. Trust me, this hidden gem is worth it, you won't be disappointed!

We stayed at this hotel so thought it easiest to eat here the morning of our departure. We're sad we didn't try it earlier. It was so good! Service was friendly. The food was fresh and fast. Coffee was left in a carafe so you could pour your own refills, it was amazing. Highly recommend this place. We were able to sit right on the water almost.

[Food//Breakfast Menu] - Classic Breakfast ($23): Comes with two eggs any style, choice of applewood-smoked bacon, pork sausage patty, or griddled chicken sausage, crispy yukon gold breakfast potatoes, herb-roasted tomato, country toast house-made. I shared this with my bf choosing scrambled eggs & applewood-smoked bacon. No complaints from me! I enjoyed every bite! I made an open faced toast with all the ingredients along with a splash of Cholula sauce. It was enough to fill both my bf and I up! [Service] - Friendly, attentive, helpful [Ambiance] - Love the interior and exterior decor/architecture! [Overall] - If I do visit Santa Barbara again I'd want to try out their dinner menu!

Had a great happy hour at Costa Kitchen & Bar, located within the Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful and the pizza was a solid choice to share. Enjoyed some refreshing cocktails and cold beers while taking in a beautiful sunset view. The ambiance was laid back yet upscale making it a perfect spot to unwind by the beach. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed evening with good food and drinks! Check out my visit @sosalicious805 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG9f5sSJOxT/?igsh=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA==

Absolutely love the Lemon Ricotta pancakes here. They're fresh & zesty with beautiful blueberries on top. Highly recommend them!

Came here during happy hour and then got a table for dinner/appetizers. Brent was a pleasure and made a delicious margarita (or two). Our waiter Paul was a fun guy and made our visit here feel even more worthwhile. We ordered the baby lamb chops and mezza platter, and couldn't be more pleased with quality and portions. We will probably be back this week for a repeat of the same thing. Hopefully Brent and Paul, and kitchen staff will be there when we return.

A long walk along the sea front was followed by a truly spectacular supper at Costas. We were Warmly greeted by Nayeli, who was both attentive and courteous. She stopped by our table and made sure everything was to our liking, and It really was The salmon with wild rice, quinoa, and snap peas was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Great service. Inside is really cute but we sat outside for the beach front view. It was nice weather on an August Sunday. Everything we ordered was delicious. Initially came for the whole branzino but didn't see it on the menu. Got the branzino filet instead and it did not disappoint, absolutely delicious! The "best tri tip" box kept calling out to me so I had to order it. Highly recommend. Beef check pappardelle was nice and tender.

Costa Kitchen is the on-site restaurant for the Mar Monte Hotel. I'm usually not big on hotel restaurants but Costa Kitchen was quite good during our stay. We only had breakfast here but I would definitely recommend breakfast here and if you sit in patio area, you will get amazing views of the Ocean. They have a very wide selection of breakfast options and an open bar for breakfast as well. I got the Omelette with chicken apple sausage. My first impression of my meal was that everything seemed farm fresh. The potatoes were the real treat as it was well seasoned with a nice crisp texture to them. Service was very responsive and friendly. Next time we stay at the Mar Monte we will definitely be visiting Costa Kitchen for our breakfast needs.

We had breakfast at Coasta Kitchen & Bar since we stayed with the Mar Monte Hotel. Back to 2020, when we stayed here. Costa was still in the renovation. We had breakfast near the pool area. This time, they opened for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We got our balcony table. The breakfast was pretty good. I ordered Steak and Eggs ($32). The grill Prime NY steak was great, not salty and dry. The crispy potatoes were so delicious. The country toast with their homemade jam was an excellent combination. The Classic Breakfast ($22) was great, too. The pork sausage patty was so tasty and delicious. The seasonal fruit & berries ($13) were great, it has 10 different types of fruits. The service was great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. Who doesn't want a good breakfast with fresh ocean air to start a day. We really enjoyed the food and morning time at Coasta and definitely will visit again.

Included with a stay at the Mar Monte hotel, order off their extensive menu, and charge it to your room, and it gets offset by the breakfast credit on your hotel bill, at least that is my understanding. In any case, our breakfasts were delicious. My chocolate croissant was still warm, flaky, and filled with chocolate (the most important part). My omelet was served straight off the griddle and served with homemade potatoes. Regan's service was very friendly and attentive, with just the right amount of checkbacks to make sure we had what we needed. Located at the far end of the hotel, there are outdoor tables overlooking East Beach. and an easy walk to the zoo. Rather than standing in a long line at the zoo snackbar, this place is a great alternative.

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. The exterior doesn't scream "must come in" but you absolutely should. Is it a tiki bar? Yes, but in the best way. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.

Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe". The decor is very feminine yet playful. Loved the design and bar area. We opted for a casual booth area by the bar which was really nice. Also all of the little things were done well, crisp menus, clean bathrooms, and music done at just the right sound level. Their menu in the bar area for food is small but mighty - oysters, cheese plates, you name it. I'm definitely going to keep coming here for the cocktails. I've had one of the best sips in 2025 here - which would be The Mixtape cocktail. My friend told me I had to get it and I'm so glad I listen sometimes lol. This cocktail completely blew me away. Passionfruit forward, it's silky, sweet yet very well balanced. One of the more unique and tasty cocktails I've had ever and honestly I'm not sure how I could come back and get anything else. 10/10 Cocktail and menu. Super impressed. Kudos to Mark who was working the bar. Such a lovely spirit and kind person. He really is passionate about his menu and the drinks he's curated. The patio is in the back of Cutler's that can be entered around the corner (map on the front door of Cutler's shows the directions). The patio is next to other tasting room patios featuring wine and next door to Lark's restaurant. When we visited the tasting room at about 3pm in the afternoon, we were the only individuals there but started to fill up with other small groups. When a large group entered, the waitress said you will need a reservation as she was only wait staff there. Perhaps a sign is needed to notify people, that groups need reservations. The drinks were spot on- the drinks started at 14 dollars to about 16 dollars for cocktails. The tasting room also offers tastings of their products too. The tastings looked small. The cocktails were well poured. I was just disappointed to find out that I could not get a Bloody Mary on a Saturday- only Sundays- the Bloody Mary looked really good. My bestie (and yelp elite) Imo brought me here for a girls day after raving about it for months, and now I completely understand the hype. We grabbed seats at the bar (which is honestly the place to be, especially since this spot gets busy on the weekends). Hint hint: make a reservation or get here early. But overall the bar was the perfect place to people watch and to catch up. When it comes to service, impeccable. Despite being busy everyone was attentive and the drinks/food were well placed despite it being a full house. And can we talk about the bartenders? They were so welcoming and even let us film while they worked their magic making cocktails. Watching them crank out cocktails with so much flair was half the entertainment and they couldn't have been nicer. Service was definitely a 10/10. We enjoyed a few margaritas but my favorite was definitely the Hibiscus Margarita. It wasn't overly sweet and was just refreshing. I also had the tamarind Marg which was good too. Extensive cocktail menu and mezcal if you like it. The food absolutely lived up to the drinks. Santo Mezcal takes classic Mexican flavors and gives them a slightly elevated twist while still keeping everything comforting and approachable. My friend couldn't stop talking about her Pork Belly Tacos and I fell in love with the Shrimp Enchiladas. They were loaded with fresh shrimp and covered in the most incredible creamy chipotle sauce (same as their sister restaurant Los agaves for reference). Definitely one of my favorite enchiladas around, 10/10 also. One thing I wasn't expecting is that their chips and salsa might be some of the best I've had. The tortilla chips were fresh, warm, perfectly salted, and paired with a salsa so good I probably ate two bowls before our food even arrived. Honestly, you could sit at the bar with a basket of chips, salsa, and margaritas for hours and be completely happy. Make sure you don't pass up on the chips and salsa. As noted, this is a more elevated Mexican restaurant so prices are slightly more $$$ but you get what you pay for. Just worth noting because if you equate good Mexican food being $2 tacos and a bucket of beer, this spot won't do it for you. But if you want something for more of a special occasion where the food, vibes and service are A+ then this spot is for you.

You get free chips & salsa and they have a variety which is nice. We also asked for a hot one and boy was it hot-habanero. We ordered: -Ceviche de Mariscos- good, refreshing -Pulpo tacos- great flavor, small amount of octopus for the price. The salad with mango dressing is amazing! -tacos rib eye- she loved it -short rib tacos - also enjoyed Service was good. Delicious
