Ravioli al Burro E Salvia 5/5
    Tiffany D.

Popped in on a Weekday for a dinner date early evening-- no reservation/ no wait. (don't let the no wait discourage you) Hot or Not? Ravioli al Burro e Salve : Spinach + Ricotta rav 10/10 bites Beau & I split this one dish (during our SB food tour) and it is rich & delicious, the Crispy sage, the brown butter sauce, the raviolis cooked perfectly all blend so well in this dish. my favorite Rav in all of the (SB) land. HOT! I will keep coming back for this dish. Excellent Service. (we love montecito but it's just not the same at that location, I've had it here before & it's superior in this location) Prime Corner location, lovely ambiance, plentiful street parking in the area (Note: Our "Food Tour" is not an actual Tour, that's what I call going to multiple restaurants in a day i.e., to make the most of a weekend trip/ day trip)

    Seafood risotto special

Wow, this is the spot! I got one of their specials for the night which was their seafood risotto, oh my goodness it was incredible! Packed with fresh seafood perfectly creamy and flavorful, large pieces of crab and scallops too. I was literally their last guest served here and never felt rushed to eat and leave. Great service and ambiance. Looking forward to my next visit already!

The food here was really good: fresh, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. I enjoyed everything I ordered, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in the dishes. The reason for the 3 stars is more about the overall experience. The service was just okay: polite, but nothing that stood out, and it felt a bit slow at times. The restaurant itself has a very small indoor seating area, which makes it feel a little cramped, especially during busier hours.

    The amazing Lisa

A Year Later and Still Blown Away My wife and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary at this incredible Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara and it felt like coming home. Exactly one year ago, Lisa helped us coordinate our rehearsal dinner here for 30+ guests, and it was absolutely perfect. From the food to the atmosphere, everything was handled with such warmth and care. Coming back this year for a more intimate dinner brought all those amazing memories flooding back. Lisa welcomed us like family just like she did a year ago and made our anniversary dinner feel so special. Whether you're planning a big celebration or just looking for a cozy date night spot, this place delivers every single time. Huge thank you to Lisa and the entire team. We can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent Italian cuisine off the main drag. Started with a nice Manhattan and mocktail, followed by an excellent glass of Amarone. The homemade pastas were excellent and especially enjoyed the ravioli al burro with sage, and the spinach tagliatelle with bolognese. Italian bread with olive oil was delicious as was the fresh butter leaf lettuce salad. Enjoyed sidewalk seating with our dog. Service was attentive and efficient.

This was the greatest meal I have ever had. I'm serious! Service was amazing and the bread was great. Ravioli filled me up just right, but I wish I tried an appetizer because they all looked so good. My companion doesn't like tomato sauce, but even she thought it was amazing with that ravioli. They gave us scrumptious candies at the end too! Sweet sweet service and a warm and elegant ambiance all around. I came right off the Amtrak incredibly hungry and they took good care of me.

Cute Italian restaurant, great candlelit ambience and some variety on the menu. I agree with others that the hostesses and waitresses are quite inexperienced and impacted our overall experience. Our server however was much nicer and attentive. Seafood risotto was tasty! I'd say almost 8/10. Would not recommend the bruschetta however. Prices are a bit higher, but not surprising due to the area. Worth a try if you like that kind of food!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Lindsey--and let me tell you, the customer service was beyond excellent. The food was amazing! I had the rack of lamb, and it was cooked to perfection. The place has a charming, old-fashioned decor, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

The owner, Lenny, was super cool, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. We also ordered the charcuterie board, and it exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and it was surprisingly filling for the two of us. We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

Thankfully, Cory stepped in and was welcoming, professional, and kind enough to offer us samples of the wines we were interested in trying. What was completely unacceptable, however, was Amanda making comments like, "the owner doesn't even like you." This was both inappropriate and unprofessional, especially considering I do not know the owner and the owner does not know me. There was absolutely no reason for such a disrespectful remark. And that is just ONE example of remarks she made to my friend and I. She also talked down on a stutter that I have, just inappropriate!! The manager or owner (not sure which roll he played exactly) seemed to have been drinking because while he was defending his out of line staff, he yelled "I'm not even supposed to be here, I should be out golfing!" As if that was my fault. Overall, this was a horrible experience and a major disappointment from a place I used to genuinely enjoy and recommend to friends. It is unfortunate that what was once a great spot is now associated with such poor treatment and lack of professionalism.
