Great service, great ambiance, and delicious/fresh food! If we had a little gem like this back home, I'd literally come every weekend! Breakfast selections that accommodate my husband's simple taste and my boujee taste, plus mimosas?! And supporting a local business?! I should probably get into the meals. My in-laws had the chicken fried steak and eggs and I could hear my MIL say mmm the whole time. My husband had the bacon, eggs over easy and hash browns. He loved it! I read their Benedict was good and I opted for the tri-tip Benny. Eggs poached to perfection and flavor was delicious. Photo is after me breaking into one of my eggs.

Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care--but the salsa deserves its own shoutout. It was to die for, easily one of the best I've had and totally addictive. The staff was incredibly personable and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough to easily accommodate our large group without feeling crowded. Even better, there was no wait time at all to be seated, and once we ordered, the food came out surprisingly fast. Overall, a fantastic experience with great food, great service, and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to others!

Chile relleno special with a fried egg and hash browns - incredible.

Breakfast is so good we ate here twice on our quick trip to Santa Barbara. Outstanding service, your coffee mug is always full, and the Mexican breakfasts are standouts. Huevos rancheros, chile relleno, Mexican scrambled eggs with salsa, homemade beans. The hash browns are also delicious (home fries wouldn't be my pick). We enjoyed the french toast as well.

We were in town and stopped by here for breakfast on a Friday morning. Nice little hole in the wall with great food. The place is clean and service was friendly. Our food came out nice and hot. We ordered the Ortega Scramble with crispy hash brown side, so tasty with their homemade salsa they bring to your table. Also got the chorizo con huevos that came with beans with sprinkled cheese on top. Their berry French toast was the perfect dessert. So glad we came here to avoid a big crowd at other places.

Quaint diner with an old school feel. I ordered the Mexican omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast. Omelette was filled with chorizo and very tasty. Hash browns were perfectly done and the coffee is strong. The house salsa is delicious. Staff is friendly and prompt with coffee refills and provide the perfect amount of attention. I'm a diner nut and this place is right on the mark. Please go to Luna's and enjoy a bite.

I visited this family-owned restaurant for breakfast and it was so good! The staff were super attentive and kind from the moment we walked in. There were a few people dining inside and one person outside enjoying their mean with their dog. I ordered the red chilaquiles (they also offer green) and they were delicious! They were just the right amount of spicy topped with sour cream, cheese, onions, and avocado.

I forgot to take photos of the food! The chile relleno special was legit. The hash browns were well cooked. The service was very friendly and warm. The food took a little bit but they kept the coffee flowing. My companions' meals of chicken fried steak and huevos rancheros we also delicious. Yes, I got a bite. I'd give this place a try.

The location, food, atmosphere and experience was great! Highly recommend it. Great find just a few short minutes from all the bustle of state street restaurants. Parking was easy specially on weekends.

Visited on a Friday around 11, service was fast and great! (Weekends are much busier and longer wait time but that's to be expected at any delicious restaurant ) Green Chilaquiles were delicious, --very spicy but flavorful! Also tried a short stack of pancakes with strawberries and they were also delicious and moist. Highly recommend for an authentic at home type breakfast.

Luna's Cafe (not to be confused with Luna Grill) just opened in the former location of the venerable Judge For Yourself. It's open for breakfast and lunch, serving traditional and Mexican breakfasts, plus burgers, sandwiches and salads. They open at 6:30 for early risers like me. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice old soulful building. Looks good! But of course we'll all miss the neighborhood vibe of the Judge. Let's hope this'll be a good addition to the breakfast/lunch scene.

It's been a hot minute since I've posted any reviews and my meal just ignited me to come and share my foodie experience. What a delightful meal! Please please please try the GREEN CHILAQUILES! (I added a grilled chicken breast) and they were the BEST chilaquiles I've had in SANTA BARBARA, absolutely delicious! Tortilla chips, soaked in a homemade savory mild spicy salsa with its combination of queso cotija, queso fresco , that crema drizzle. With a half of avocado thinly sliced on top. Chicken breast was grilled and remained juicy, bursting with flavor! 2 over easy eggs just made it even better! I immediately tasted the AUTHENTICITY in every bite. The SAZON keeps you smiling ear to ear in every bite. My daughters loved the fact that they did not have to ask for refills. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. All of my family enjoyed their plates of food. Breakfast with a dash of homemade salsa. I got the pleasure to meet the owner Sr Federico. I had to give thanks for the amazing meal and greet the chef that knew how important AUTHENTIC MEXICAN cuisine should be made, eaten, shared and enjoyed. My family and I also enjoyed the fact that the portions were big and the prices were definitely fair and the BEST part by far is the fact that the food tastes FRESH and not frozen. I can't wait to come back for some more.

My friends and I sat outside as the weather was beautiful over the weekend. Staff was friendly and when we got there, it was already busy. You can get new tires next door, but while you're waiting, you can catch breakfast or lunch. Outdoors, there's a lot of seating. Wooden tables and wicker chairs. Awnings and large umbrella coverings. You pay first, and then they seat you. There's some seating indoors, but it's limited, compared to outdoors. I ordered a latte ($5.50) and avocado toast ($16). They add a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. There is a window for to-go orders, but if you're dining in, you place your order with the gal at the podium. I have to say, although there were two staff working on drinks, my latte took a while. Luckily, it came before the food. There was a staff member waiting at the counter and delivering just drinks. Once I got my latte, it tasted good. Strong. I felt the caffeine. The avocado toast was good, too. It was served in a shallow metal dish. Thick, high quality, Artisan bread. I enjoyed the toasted pumpkin seeds. I would definitely order it again, but open to ordering something else on the menu next time. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and efficient. There was another gentleman standing in the back, immediately clearing tables. It's better if you come earlier on the weekends. There was a line of people when I was leaving. There's plenty of free street parking. I parked across the street.

Everything is high quality and fresh for reasonable prices. Charming, cozy decor with Danish accents. Service is also excellent and warm. Quiche with Hollandaise Sauce - Light, buttery flaky crust, light, fluffy eggs. Absolutely delightful, leeks provided good texture. Came with a strip of bacon. Was so amazing hardly ate the sauce. Don't think you can sub salad for fries but no worries, as the breakfast potatoes were amazing. Many places offer breakfast potatoes but something seemingly simple is actually hard to make well. My friend's Bratwurst Sausage with Eggs, her favorite, was hearty and filling. A lot of indoor seating but we enjoyed our table outside, watching pedestrians on State St. and enjoying the beautiful scenery and architecture. We expected to wait to be seated but surprisingly it wasn't that busy. Order at counter and the food is brought to your table. As we waited, employee kindly gave us two free pastry samples, both delicious. All the baked goods I got to go I want again. Their scones are fabulous-slightly crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Their tea service which comes with champagne is pricey, I believe $75 per person. But interior is a perfect colorful and relaxed setting for tea. My tastebuds dream of coming back. Will be thrilled when I next indulge on their pastries and quiche.

There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.
