    Enchiladas Rancheras - Excellent!
    Kim R.

Amazing food in a fresh and spacious space, my wife and I came here before a show. Ordering is at the counter, take a number, they bring it to you. Space is large, industrial concrete and steel with high ceilings, but somehow warm and cozy at the same time. They have a many creative tacos, flautas, enchiladas and mole dishes that appear more "authentic" and not your everyday Mexican, as well as beer and cocktails. We ordered a bowl of guacamole, chicken mole enchiladas, enchiladas rancheras, sparkling water and a margarita, then sat down with our number. The guacamole and particularly the chips were incredible, tasting hot and freshly made, but in a smallish bowl. Margarita was very good too. Both our main dishes presented well, were loaded with flavor and top notch, with the mole being spot-on sweet and spicy with very nicely prepared beans and rice sides. To finish the guacamole, additional chips at $4 were needed. Counter service and food delivery times was good. This is probably the best Mexican food I've had in Santa Barbara, a big statement! My only (1/2 star) nit is for the price and quality of food and cocktail offerings, I feel the restaurant (and me) deserve more a finer dining, full table service experience.

We finally got around to trying this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas along with a passion fruit margarita. I expected more of a sweet, but it had a nice, subtle kick of spice which was great. The margarita was strong in the best way and they were very generous with the pour (no complaints here!). My partner ordered the shrimp enchiladas and had zero complaints, which says a lot. The whole vibe and decor around the restaurant was great. I'd definitely come back again, 10/10 would recommend. Service great s/o to Janet for helping us.

Amazing food! We had a great experience at Corazon Cocina earlier and we heard this place had the same chef so we decided to stop in for dinner. We were greeted by Janet right away. She was very welcoming and made sure we had what we needed throughout our visit. I had the Rajas con Crema, a taco with poblano, corn, crema, and queso fresco on a blue corn tortilla. I didn't know exactly what to expect but it was EPIC! Maybe the best thing I've tasted so far this year, so much flavor, such fresh ingredients! My husband ordered the Birria Plate, which he loved. We shared a side of black beans and plaintains, but we really should have gotten two orders because those were out of this world too. The ambiance is casual. It almost felt like we were visiting friends for dinner. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Santa Barbara.

The food was good, but unfortunately warm, I have to take my plate back to the waiter to put in the microwave. The service was good, family ambiance, we noticed they were short of waiters. Thanks.

On Cinco de Mayo, I visited Corazon Comedor, located at 29 E Victoria St, to celebrate a birthday. I have visited this establishment on numerous occasions and have consistently had exceptional experiences with its culinary offerings. The large chips and guacamole are a must-order item. The service provided at Corazon Comedor is consistently impeccable. The ambiance is inviting and they have amazing food options.

Since moving to SB and moving away from home I have been craving some homemade chilaquiles and this was incredibly close. I wish they were a little bit more crunchy but other than that it tasted so good. I love the decor and the wall of saints it had. There's a salsa bar. One thing is I didn't know I was supposed to order at the front and waited around for a solid 20 minutes (completely my fault). Service was friendly. Can't wait to come back with my husband

I went for dinner, but I think this place is more popular during breakfast and lunch hours. You order at the counter then take a seat. Salsa bar located on the side. The burrito had a lot of flavor but the tortilla was kinda hard and made it difficult to cut with the knife. Overall the staff is friendly and it's not a bad spot to sit down and grab a quick bite to eat.

The ambiance, the food and the service is all great here. If you want to see how classy Spain/mexico is like including the service and most importantly the food then this spot is it.

Loved the ambience and the food. We got the: Vegetarian enchilada with mole - 4/5 - I really liked the stuffing (spinach and mushroom). The mole was a little bitter but the flavor grew on me. Rajas Tacos - 5/5 - absolutely loved the flavors and the cheese. Chips with beans and mole - complimentary, served with 4 salsas of different spice levels. The spiciest - with habanero and cheese was the best! Quick service, friendly staff and great decor. Parking in lots nearby - first 75 min free

Dropped in for breakfast. Street parking was available because I came early. This is a beautiful, restaurant with nice service. Although the champurrado was good, the Cafe de Olla was a bit on the sweet side. The food, salsas and chips were all good. I enjoyed it so much I know I will be coming back again.

Great spot up in Santa Barbara, I have been numerous times and I often recommend it to friends and family. My number one order is always the Flautas Sautarios (short rib flautas) and I'll usually get some guacamole and rice or beans to go with them. They are so flavorful and tender on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside, you really can't go wrong! If you have a sweet tooth I would also recommend finishing your meal with the Strawberry Tres Leches or the Dulce de Leche Flan, which I took with me to-go on this occasion. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out of the kitchen at a great pace whether you're dining in or placing an order to go. The interior is airy with high ceilings and well lit, with nice big windows. There is plenty of seating inside with two different rooms to accommodate plenty of diners, and a small bar as well. There aren't currently any outdoor seating options, and parking options can be tricky, but I wouldn't let that deter you from giving this restaurant a try!

This place was great, it would've received a 5 start rating but the wait was very long to get a table. Overall I would give this place a 4.5 the food was very delicious. Especially the chilaquiles with carne asada. The meat wasn't chewy and it was seasoned so good! Probably the best chilaquiles I've had. Definitely will come back when I go to Santa Bárbara again. The horchata was also good, definitely recommend. Very nice and clean restaurant.

Walked in this am just before 11. They sat my party of 10 pretty quick. This was our first time in and it won't be our last. Only negative thing was that once sat no one came by for our drink order for quite sometime. The food was outstanding. Some reviews mentioned that the berry French toast was soggy which it can be because it's served with ice cream. It was sweet and really good. My vegetable omelet was filled with mushrooms, onions, and spinach. I added their green salsa. The decor is lovely, nice staff, and delicious food. I look forward to returning next time I'm in the area.

I found this place online based off some positive reviews. It was fairly packed for a Thursday evening but waited anyways thinking that would be a good sign. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated outside which wasn't an issue, it was the unsteady table that caused everything to shake and move while eating that was. As we were seated we were asked if we wanted chips, salsa and guac. Had we know it was a huge bowl of just guac for an extra charge we definitely would have passed. After returning with our drinks, the waitress began to take our order but in the middle of the order asked us to hold on for a moment and walked off. We then watched her for fifteen minutes seat two tables behind us. She took their drink and even food orders and it wasn't until after then she returned to our table. She stated the kitchen had a mix up and asked what we ordered. After telling her she never took our order she apologized saying it was busy. The food was just okay somewhat bland which was very disappointing but the drinks were good. After requesting the check a lady and her large two dogs walked by with only one being on the leash. The dog began to walk throughout the front of the restaurant off leash. As much as I love animals I did feel it was a bit unsafe especially considering how large the dog was. Before bringing the check our waitress stated she would be back after taking a picture with the dog. I feel the restaurant was overcrowded and overpriced for just okay food and service.

I did notice that workers were going back and forth to a house nextdoor picking up stuff-- cooked food, veggies and such... The restaurant itself is pretty cute-- open seating inside, nice outdoor seating. The older gent who took my order was sweet and kind. I was looking so forward to this place. But sadly, it simply wasn't worth the wait or cost. This is a picture the remaining portions---yes we ate most of it because we chose to not eat ANYTHING before getting there and the hungry anticipation took over--- we really tried to like the food, but it was just not great. #1 beef taco-- on the white plate--dry dry dry. No flavor. Just dried out beef jerky shavings on a tortilla. Didn't eat it. #18 Julia child's favorite --on Black plates- weird pork meat with crunchy peppers, and globs of melted cheese-- not great. Over-hyped. No flavor, no sauce, pork was soft, had no chew- it was strange. We had a special tamale item on the banana leaf. Chicken mole-- way too sweet, no sauce on top, and somehow it was super wet-- moist and too soft. We ordered a chili releno, but the guy didn't hear, so we didn't taste that-- I asked for some of the crema that comes with it and was charged 75¢ for a small 1oz portion-- tasted like hot cream. Watery and lacking body. No flavor. Cinnamon coffee was served in tiny cups-- super hot, no cream. Asked for cream-- and one of the guys said " no cream" was rude and wasn't interested in helping ---we only got one lid, so I mentioned that there is no way to carry scalding hot coffee with no lid-- someone finally brought the smallest amount of milk. Old coffee with cinnamon stick flavor-- not even good. Guacamole was really sad. Super whipped smooth shinny avocado with tons of pico in it. No citrus, no salt, just crunchy pico-- zero avocado chunks or flavor. The avocado is served on and with fresh tortillas -- the tortillas were great, but they are served with everything, so it felt like a waste. NO LIMES!! The salsas were decent. But NO LIMES!!! Negro Modelo especial beers were ice cold, refreshing and delicious-- the beers had limes. We paid $68 for the food and drinks- I left $10 for a tip. I don't really feel like this was authentic Mexican food at all. I am not sure what to call it. It seemed like it has been "gringo'ed" down-- no heat, no chiles, no spice, no flavor, no limes, no love. Glad I can mark this joint off the list.

The saltiness of the bacon kind of overtook the taste of the oyster. And lastly, that branzino though. The three of us dug in, ate the whole fish then realized after that we should have asked for rice. We ended our meal with the goat cheese for dessert and their coffee.
