Well, I do appreciate that they had much lemonade which I love, this one was very mediocre. Also, grossly overpriced, service could've been better as well. They had a great sounding menu, but they were so unfriendly that we just got drinks to go. The quality did not reflect the price.

Stopped by The Shop Kitchen during the Validation Ale take over before a concert at Santa Barbara Bowl this past week. Had a couple hazys and a mule while trying the Philly cheesesteak and smash burger. Let's just say the drinks beat out the food, but still a cool chill spot to post up before heading into the show. Staff was super friendly and kept the good vibes going before the concert.

It was okay. I liked the gravy it reminded me of potato soup. Over all food was good, but we did find a long black hair in my bfs michelada which grossed us out. The staff was nice we were gonna let them know but a bunch of people walked in and we didn't want to make it awkward.

Food is awesome, service was outstanding, and very professional. I love that you can choose inside or outside. Highly recommend

Loaded avocado toast with added eggs being pulled by "the tug" in front. Superb!

The Shop Kitchen is a breakfast/lunch spot with indoor and outdoor seating on the corner of Milpas and De La Guerra St. For their winter hours, they open a little later than I'd like, 9am; get there early if you want to avoid the rush. I don't recall any dedicated parking, but there is public parking on Milpas or nearby side streets. Order outside at the register, pick a seat inside or out, and the drinks and food are brought to you. Outside seating is spacious and feels secluded despite being right on Milpas St, with upbeat, fun music and a hip vibe. Inside has less seating and is a nicely done warm/industrial with concrete and wood furnishings. We recently went for Sunday breakfast at opening. Breakfast options are very creative and include fried chicken eggs benedict, toasts with avocado and eggs or salmon lox, waffles, omelets and burritos. For lunch you can get a smash burger, salads, fried chicken items and steak sandwich among other things - limited but thoughtfully curated offerings. They also serve champagne drinks, wine, cider and beers. Food came out reasonably quick on warm metal plates and it looked beautiful. My wife's avocado toast was enormous and very flavorful, with tons of avo, sprouts, tomatoes and scrambled eggs atop thick but soft toasted bread. I ordered "the tug" which is the fried chicken benedict on a homemade biscuit with hollandaise and fried potatoes. Good lord! Chicken was so juicy and crunchy with perfectly cooked, drippy poached eggs and tangy hollandaise. The underlying biscuit was soft and flakey and the potatoes very thin sliced and full of flavor, with just the right amount of salt and seasoning on everything. Drip coffee was also delicious. The food is not cheap at around $16-$24/dish and the coffee comes in paper cups even if you dine in, but the quality, size and gourmet flavors of The Shop's dishes are as good, maybe better than I've had anyplace. Probably my favorite breakfast spot in SB!

Unclear where parking is for this place and there's not a lot of street parking on Milpas but the staff were super friendly and courteous, letting me and other patrons know that a large party arrived without calling ahead and offering chips while we waited for our orders. I got the Tugboat to-go and was really surprised to see that my poached eggs didn't break at all while I was driving. The Hollandaise was DELICIOUS, fried chicken perfectly crispy and not overbattered, and the biscuit was awesome.

Eggs Benedict, egg wrap, lavender latte and drip coffee with a side of fruit.

My husband and I dined here with a Groupon gift certificate that our kids gifted us. We went on a Thursday morning around 10 AM. You place your order at the window and then find a seat in the garden patio which is lovely. There were only a few others dining while we were there. My husband ordered eggs Benedict with side of fresh fruit and a drip coffee and I ordered an egg wrap with an iced lavender latte. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were as expected. The food come in about 15 minutes and everything was fresh and looked like it was made on site. I highly recommend purchasing the Groupon offer as it makes your dining experience such a great value. I did go inside to use the restroom and it wasn't overly clean but acceptable. The interior decor leaves a bit to be desired so if you do visit, definitely sit out on the patio.

GET. THE. TROPICAL. MATCHA!!!! Holy moly it was delicious. Perfect flavor! I also tried the fried chicken breakfast burrito and it was so so good. Loved the homemade salsa that came with it. Very relaxed environment with an order at counter and self seating area. Parking was a bit tricky so be prepared for that. I cannot wait to go back.

The food here was really good, and I especially loved the outdoor patio; it's such a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. My favorite was the avocado toast; it was full of flavor and super satisfying. I did add an egg and bacon, which made it a little pricey. It was pretty quiet when we went, so service was quick and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. My boyfriend and I went last year, so the menu might be a little different now.

Trish T.

Very good. We shared an order of Benedict. So good. Potatoes were amazing. The toast was also yummy.

Chilaquiles ! Always a must try when these are on any menu. They were delicious, nice amount of crunch.

We looked for a new spot to try out in the area while on vacation and ground The Shop Brunch. This place is a local gem. The food is amazing and the vibe is very local and chill. The staff were friendly and helpful with our order. The chilaquiles were some of the best I have had. My wife loved her meal as well and the potatoes were heavenly. Thinly sliced and fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside and a soft bite in the middle. It's a must if you are visiting the greater Santa Barbara / Goleta area.

This is an interesting place. The customers here are mostly locals. You walked up to the counter to order, then you could decide to sit inside or out on the patio. Most people picked the patio sitting. We ordered a Cobb salad and a Carnita Burrito. The Cobb Salad has lots of Avacado slides and the chicken was freshly grilled. The Carnita Burrito was much better than I expected. It was delicious. Ingredients was fresh and seasoned well and cooked to perfection. It Came with chips and green salsa. The green salsa was tasty with a little kick to it. Texture was just right! Defitely a hidden gem in Santa Barbara. It's a local hangout.

Like many parts of Santa Barbara, the buildings are steeped in history and reflect the Spanish heritage of the city. I walked in my dog (they're dog friendly!) and went straight to look for the menu. My dog immediately found the bike pump and the snacks they leave for dogs. Service is super nice! They all seem very jovial and cheerful - making it a really nice local vibe. It was great to see the community in the coffee shop. Sadly, the coffee leaves something to be desired. Their menu is pretty standard - you got your flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes - and nothing special or standout from the menu. That's fine - you can still be a standout coffee shop with a standard menu. I ordered two vanilla lattes - one hot, and the other iced with oat milk. Unfortunately, I think my order was misheard as my iced oat latte was missing the vanilla. - Vanilla Latte: Fine. My partner typically orders this everywhere and he said it was fine, but nothing standout. 3/5 - Iced Oat Latte: Already mentioned it was missing the vanilla I asked for, so I'll discuss the other elements. They use a darker roast - thus, making it more susceptible to a bitter taste. That, and I believe an over-extraction or a longer pull made the coffee quite bitter. They also served it in the same cup as the hot coffee. My main issue with this is that I'm a slower coffee drinker, and thus my cup began disintegrating as time passed. Their cups aren't constructed to uphold iced coffee well. 2/5 It was such a prime location nearby the USPS and is sat in a great historic area. Handlebars has great staff, who clearly enjoy their jobs, and have a great community surrounding it. It's sad that their coffee is subpar. Strongly recommend you order your coffee hot, to drink in-store, or just avoid.

The corn tortilla one was my favorite. They were around $5 each. They give you a buzzer to inform you when your order was ready. The items were made fresh to order. The breakfast tacos were delicious. There's parking in an underground garage there but I found street parking across the street. The bad: I wanted fresh orange juice but they were out. The jamaica drink was supposed to be with lemongrass but I didn't taste the lemongrass. The drink was slightly sweeter than I expected but it came with ice so it would've been great if I let the ice melt more. The interesting: This was one of the 2 or 3 places open at 10 am when I came. The other spots in this food hall had workers there but they didn't officially open until 11 am or later. The bathrooms were clean.
